Reminds me a lot of JERRY RICE. Not saying he will have that type of career, but he makes the spectacular look routine. Smith's highlights aren't insane like a Jaylen Waddle's are, but Smith really makes it look easy.

Yep...those of us who grew up watching Jerry can definitely see the resemblance. Both of their game speeds we're on a another level than anyone else on the field. The hands, smooth route running, acceleration after the catch is all Jerry like.

He won't be a number one receiver in the NFL. Guys are stronger, technically better, and faster. Speed and quick feet put him at an advantage in the NCAA. In the pros, those guys are just as fast . In order for him to excel he's going to have to have a true number 1 threat at the other wide receiver spot and a tight end that you have to account for.

100% he will be a top of the food chain receivers in the nfl. The guy he was smoking all night will be a nfl player. Look at tyreek hill, Antonio brown, desmond Howard and the list goes on. And devonta is much taller than all them and will bulk up over time. He without a doubt will be a future multiple time pro bowler.

So weird that Waddle went first. I guess teams really want that burner, but Smith does everything at such a high level. Natural hands catcher, great extension, body control, feet, route running, IQ/zone awareness. I like Waddle, but I thought it was Smith/Chase>Waddle for sure, as far as draft order.

Waddle was actually leading Bama that same yr in rec yards and touchdowns b4 he got hurt. Had smithy got hurt, waddle would of put up similar numbers or possibly higher. So teams saw his potential

Yes he does. Without Mac this Heisman may not have happened. Yea he made Mac look good but Mac also made DS look good. Bama has had great receivers and offensive lines in the past but never a QB that hit open receivers like Mac Jones has.

There's a reason why Mac broke all the BAMA records and even some NCAA records - Even Tua's - Mac made better decisions on more of a consistent bases then TUA. I'm a BAMA fan and a Tua fan.

Ngl this man is always open. He usually has about 2.5-3.5 yds of separation. Translated into the NFL terms that's about .75 to 1.25 yds of seperation. This young man is gonna be a problem for future NFL DB's. Especially with potential HOF caliber talent at QB, smh. -Angry Ohio State Fan
