Dondi is rich and is making his own dinosaur game. Crown me a clown like that anytime. It's clear he's tinkering with the balance. In order to tinker with the balance you have to go to extremes in opposite directions of balance with the idea being that will allow you to find where the balance is. You can't just jump straight to being balanced. You have to find balance. How would you suggest the devs find balance if they don't keep moving things around?

Except for stegosaurus (the devs’ pet herbivore) every single growth time at the beginning of the video has an insane carnivore bias. Apparently in their mind a dryo, which is at the BOTTOM OF THE FOOD CHAIN should take as long to grow as the second fastest carnivore in the game that can kill mid tiers solo. carno has the same growth time as something it can 2 shot 😂 Why play herbivore at all if you can grow a stronger carnivore in the same time or less
I hate how there are more carnivores than herbivores, if anything it should be the other way around to provide more variety of diet to the carnivores that already exist, because finding a dryonor hypsy for diets is already near impossible
Honestly I think they should've kept the old growth times and just adjusted only a couple dinos who it made sense for (making stego and deino a bit longer, for instance). Great video, nice to hear your perspective on the matter!

Fr, I've been playing the isle for 5 years and I've never fucking liked the devs. People who think they are always right and have the right opinions are so aggravating, especially when they're in positions of power and can just silence anyone that disagrees with them.
Me still waiting for the day the add goat in omni's diet, cause its currently impossible to have all 3 diets as omni atm unless you are really lucky and find a stego, dryo or galli body somewhere or any corpse that still has organs in it, especially if omni takes longer now cause damn i never made it to adult as one in horde test yet i always got killed by random dilos or herras coming out of nowhere its just so hard its ridiculous why did they do that jeez, i hope they adjust omni's growth and give it goat in its diet cause its just so hard to get perfect diet do grow efficiently

Before Dryo was around like 30 min… so yeah hella stupid, imo they should lower all small tier’s growth time to max 30 mins, might also incurage more players to play small tiers cuz it takes so fast… but well well
Pretty awful balance. Longer growth = way more bush camping. Plus they’re making small tiers redundant so everyone will just grow carno, cera, Stego and Deino. So basically Stego and Deino still squash everybody and the game is even less fun
I agree with most of what you said but Teno is one of, if not the strongest mid-large tier dino in the game(excluding Stego and Deino ofc). A half competent and experienced Teno player can quite easily deal with a Carno, tail slam hits first and interrupts the charge. Teno wins with tail slam/kicks if the Carno goes in and tries to force the issue because massive damage, bleed and stuns. Im not saying its a easy dino to play but at the same time its ridiculously powerful to the point that even a somewhat basic understanding and ability to use it translates into being able to take on most things in the game and walk away the winner.

Dilo is massive for no reason, 700kg on a 100% grown one yet they are barely larger than a Omni(450kg). Another example for reference is Cerato at 1300kg, a Dilo is literally more than half the weight of a effing CERATO that has the body of damn brick wall 💀
Interestingly, Tenonto blazes through the juvenile stage significantly faster now, within like an hour, and stays as a subadult and adult for longer. They cut out a chunk of its grow time too so its only slightly faster to grow.
I used free grow servers before but if this is added or if it already is added idk if i will ever join officials again at least until they fix the grow time, especially since herrara has such a higher grow time i do nothing as baby herrara i simply wait for adulthood to bellyflop things like what am i doing for 1 hour and 45 minutes
Yes, let's give carnivores even more special treatment because they don't already get enough, we can't give the poor struggling things the same growth times as the herbivores because it's just oh so difficult to find all your diets when there's 50 ai boars in every field, it wasn't enough that they outnumbered every herbivore by 5 to 1 anyway, let's make them also grow quicker lmao.

Everyone not long ago was complaing about no food ai, constantly had to look for food. Now suddently everyone can sit in a bush and afk grow. Something fishy, people dont dare to say what they actually want. Easy fast growths.
