Hot air passing over an evaporator coil brings the temp of the air down to its dew point , which at that moment pulls the moisture out allowing dry cooler air to continue on in air handlers to reach the comfort zones designated . As an Hvac-r installer , ive tried to explain this many ways to the new guys , but have just said in the end the coil removes heat / in the absence of heat there is cold 🥶
