This is my first public comment on RU-vid after years of watching RU-vid videos. Thank you for taking time to explain how to use this staple gun. As someone mentioned before, when I purchased mine, no instructions came with it and you would think using a staple gun would intuitive; no chance on that. Your thoroughness regarding its use is greatly appreciated.
Brought the dewalt staple gun. Came with no instruction on how to use it. Was planning to return it. Then, I found you. Great detail instruction! Thanks a lot! 🙏👏👍
I really needed this video. Lost my instructions and didn't have a clue. Thank you again. Please don't let it get to you when people make such hateful comments. My friend tells me to say "what you think of me is none of my business.
Rebecca so happy to help and thank you for the kind words I've stopped letting negative comments get to me this is an open form and its just going to happen so i have to just let it go and not let it effect me. As much as id LOVE to fire back i won't lower myself. Thanks again Rebecca thank you for viewing.
@@TheShackHome Excellent video and to those that have negative things to say, I'll say this to you...hurt people hurt people so therefore you need to find some healing for yourself instead of attacking a man who has done you no wrong, if anything as you can see that he is helping a lot of people, probably including you. Carry on The Shack.
@@scaddler1 Thank you. And yes it did take a little getting use to the negatives. One big reason I didn't want to do this. When i uploaded my first video i knew i opened myself to a new can of worms. Good and Bad. the bad i had to let roll off like water off a duck. But at first it was hard. I'm not a great personality or have those WOW and glitter videos. i had to let it go because the good out weighted the bad. You cant please all, all the time. We do our best and move on. again Thank you Scad Hope
Just bought a 5-1 an hour ago, got the same feeling ( what the heck; NO INSTRUCTIONS; not possible). I found this video, GREAT. No more instructions needed; BUT I went back to the stapler package, and there were the instruction sheet, tucked in between the paper insert in the packaging.
I couldn’t agree more with your first reviewer. There were almost NO INSTRUCTIONS with he DeWalt. I thought that I was loading the staples correctly, but the gun wasn’t firing. Searching for HELP on RU-vid - the only video which was organized and comprehensive was your video. THANK YOU!
I know you got some negative reviews, but I didn’t know how to load the thing!!! A raccoon 🦝 broke into my screened in porch and you taught me how to work this, while I’ve been trying to piece together the instructions! So thank you!!! I’m about to restaple my screened in porch, I’m a single lady, and I don’t know much about DIY, and this video helped, SO MUCH!!!! Thank you! You’ve helped me!
Meagan Inman I'm speechless. You're very kind. I'm humbled and happy to help in anyway. Just don't be too afraid of something you have never done. It's just something you've never done. You had to start walking sometime. This is just your first step now you can start running. Good luck on the rescreening and look ahead to your next DIY project.
I was totally lost regards how to load this staple gun thing. Now I've watched your video I'm much wiser. I thought you loaded the magazine with staples and pushed it in, but you load the actual gun upside down and then put the staple block inside. Such a simple example enabled me to use this tool - many many thanks!
My first time using any staple gun without supervision (lol) finding your video gave me a jump start into beginning my project without going through long, small print, and dreadful written directions. So thank you!
A very practical video as it showed me exactly what I was looking for which was how to use the different settings, how to insert the staples properly, and how to hold it flat for better operation. Thank you!
My Masterforce 4-in-1 heavy-duty stapler is basically the same thing as the stapler you are using so this video really helped me figure out how to use it. It also didn't come with instructions on how to use it.
Thank you for this helpful video. I found this tool in my ex-husband's stuff and needed to use it for something but wasn't sure how and I didn't want to mess it up somehow. So your video was exactly what I needed. Thanks from all the single moms learning late how to use tools!
Aspen Anderson this is just the beginning, With your new found confidence there is no telling what you will do, A new and exciting chapter in your life. It is my pleasure to help thank you for viewing.
Filip thank you. I'm glad it was helpful. Just want to show just what this can and can't do. Hate for someone to buy this expecting more than it can do. I learn from my mistakes so i don't mind some criticism just not hateful comments. Thank you for the kind words
i own one and almost understood it 100% (85%) when new, but this video did help with the little problems i'd been having. Now i can use it with 100% confidence great job and thank you. Great stapler too, by the way.
Thank so much for this video, I have had my staple for some time but never used it because I just could not get it to staple. I lost the manual but after watching how you loaded the staples it is working fine. I was placing staples on the black part, you drop it in the well. I am so glad to get this working. Thanks again!!
Your demonstration has been very simply informative and effective. I truly appreciate the time you have done Shack. I am planning to buy the DeWalt 4 in 1 multi-tracker staple gun. You have assisted in helping with my decision with this purchase. I Thank you again. I am compelled to express my thoughts on what you said earlier on the video. There are mean spirited, evil, jealous, destructive, and unbalanced human beings. You are doing "GREAT"
KK i deeply appreciate the kind words. Thank you. It's just the hazards of an open public forum. You are very correct some are just "mean spirited". you can never please them. They are just unhappy people nothing we can do. Your comment is very humbling Thank you this is what makes all the difference.
Well done. Better than lacerating my hands attempting to get the little book out of the plastic clam shell of torture. Don't mind the grumblers.... just like a critic, those who can't critique.
Thank you for this video! I’ve had this stapler for a while but haven’t used it in a long time. mine is labeled as the Hotak brand, but they are the same. I guess I forgot how to load the staples and couldn’t get it to work, or maybe I never knew. No instructions came with it. I was thinking it was a pile of crap, so thank you again- I was thinking about throwing it away!
super helpful = well done! ~ really appreciated this video. i had wondered what i could use; as not want to be hammering and i not wanna drill. oh ya; i am gonna be able to wall the hen house and not get wore out! ~ happy to go to a store to see what type fits my hand best.
Andry thank you. Just trying to help those who are considering this staple gun to know the function and limits. Show them just how it does in actual wood. Be blessed and Thank you for viewing.
great video. great explanation and very thorough. I love the arrow indicator on the side, great idea! it's a very simple tool, yet a lot of thought went into the design (except for the lack of a brad indicator, but not a deal-breaker). I have a couple of pneumatic staplers/brad nailers, but it'd be nice to keep one of these in the car tool box or to give to my parents or GF who don't have a lot of tools. thanks for this video! ✌
Your video helped so much, I was stuck trying to figure this tool out during a project and was getting frustrated. Thank you for this! Mine didn't come with instructions so I had no clue how to use it.
4142Wilb If this fits your needs and your happy with it that's all that matters. I don't try to sell just give an honest review. Thank you for viewing.
once a staple has been stapled, lets say through some thin cardboard or plastic, does it secure itself in place, like a "normal" office stapler at the back or is it just 2 straight prongs as it were... Hope that makes sense?!
James makes perfect sense but unlike an office stapler there is no backing it is stapling onto. So no way for it ti curl under. Just straight into the material that's it. Great question thanks for viewing.
Sagittariustoo this good for basic needs but you are very correct. I have that stapler i use on insulation jobs and a few other instances. I actually did a review on a DeWalt Tacker hammer stapler but ended up taking it back just can't stand up to a rapid stapler. They are the best in my book. I totally agree Sagittariustoo
Thank you for good video very helpful don't worry of the negative Nellie's that comment on your videos you won't be able to please everyone .stay positive my friend
Sahak not so good. I found an old piece of MDF and tried it out. brads on either setting wouldn't nail flush, cable staples wouldn't work and 3/8" heavy duty staples were the only thing that actually did good. they at least stapled flush on the plus setting. Thanks for viewing, good question.
I wonder if it's because MDF is so compacted? I'm working on a bartop arcade project which is made entirely of 3/4" MDF. There are small pieces that fit into grooves which I'm using wood glue to secure but thought as an extra measure would be good to brad nail them. So then from what I understand this particular staple gun isn't ideal for that?
yes Sahak not being natural wood MDF has no pores and very dense. even if you were to tack on pine to the MDF i doubt it would be able to staple flush. You can always use the stapler but also use a hammer to nail them flush and set punch to countersink the brads If i were setting small pieces in grooves i would actually use a pinner just to keep keep it till glue dries and easy to hide the nail hole much smaller. But then you'd need a small compressor and a gun that shoots the pins
I’m English and I make theatre sets and exhibition stands for a living. I have a question for you American chippies. Is the use of MDF banned over there in America? I have heard many people say this but not from an American
I'd open the base and slide the staples to make sure they move freely to the tip. I'd also, with the base open and NO staples loaded, pull the handle and make sure when you squeeze the handle the mechanism that hammers the staple is in fact moving. last just make sure the spring isn't broken that keeps tension on the staples. really just a few reasons it wouldn't shoot. There is always a chance you just have a faulty stapler. It does happen.
