It goes on pretty nice with the 4-wing pinwheel style chippers. I did a full dado blade test and review in the June 2023 issue of Popular Woodworking magazine. That's issue #272 and compares all the modern dado sets. Best to you.
Thanks for checking out the video. I also have videos on Whiteside and Sawstop dado blades if you're shopping. Lots of dado content coming down the pike. Best
My set was made in Japan i belive and its very good but putting on and taking it off is tight there wasnt much play on the arbor size, this is both good and a pain in the ass to deal with. It keeps the blades all on the same centerline but makes them harder to install adjust and remove. It may just be my Jet tablesaw has sharp threads on its arbor. As far from using the set it cuts a clean Grove in oak but I was making box joints for draws out of scrap recycled oak. Just to play with the set and learn some more skill. First time I've ever used a dado set. I've got sevral sets like sears craftsman but I wanted somthing better. I dong plan on using chizzels to fine tune my work. Hand tools are great in the right hands and a lot of things need to be done that way, machined parts work OK they just are not always perfect. This is a good mid priced set. You can go out and buy forster or one of the top of the line sets but these can get you by just fine. Its not your grandpaws sears craftsman set.
@The Thoughtful Woodworker Thank you for your informative vid. I have a question... The hole are 16 mm right? I wonder because I'm using for the normal blades 30 mm holes. How does then the dado blades fits in the DEWALT or is there a difference between US and Europe version of the table saw?
The Dewalt Dado arbor holes are 5/8" (15.88mm) for the American market. If you need a different size, you'd have to check with Dewalt. Best of luck with it.
@@TheThoughtfulWoodworker Oh thx for such a fast replay. Yes it is 15.88 mm to be precise but I was afraid it could confuse people who use Inches ;-p Thank you for your recommendation I will try but have little hope for it here to be available.
