If you would actually hold the pipe with the Milwaukee while your cutting instead of letting the pipe flop around it might cut faster.

That Milwaukee one looks like it been threw hell and made it's money back already

That test was not fair the milwaukee m12 was old and worn out but the dewalt was 18v and looks almost brand new

I don’t use it like Milwaukee very much but I’ve seen people use that cutter and it was faster than the dewalt

So the Milwaukee takes forever and the dewalt one gets stuck. Seems like you’re better off with a plain old pipe slice that can get into 99% of places

Yeah because comparing a 12v tool with the wrong size cutter to a 20v tool with the proper size is a fair comparison.

Dewalt's impact connect system is pretty dope.

The reason why the Milwaukee is cutting slow is because you have to physically hold it just like you did with the Dewalt is common sense

The auto tightening mechanism needs to be adjusted or the cutting wheel needs to be replaced in that Milwaukee cutter. I’ve had one for 10 years and when they’re new improperly adjusted, they cut pretty much quicker than this.

I own two Milwaukee cutters for boiler jobs as long as the wheel is maintained it very quick I tried the dewalt but having to change heads is a pain

Those cutting wheels are consumable and that Milwaukee looked like it’s been through the trenches. How about you replace the sheen next time you compare cause i have the Milwaukee one and it cuts 3/4 in just a couple seconds with a fresh wheel

Put a new cutting wheel in the Milwaukee instead of the old dull worn out one.

It’s funny how ppl get offended in the name of Milwaukee. Don’t get me wrong Milwaukee is the only brand I use. I’m a plumber and I can tell you the Milwaukee copper cutter sucks. I don’t care if it’s compared to Ryobi milwaukeee hasn’t bothered much to improve the copper cutter or to make a m18 vs the m12.

It was quicker coz u held the pipe still in the milwakee one u let it rattle around

Now do the DeWalt again but without the battery and I bet you get the same result as using the broken Milwaukee

I have seen the Milwaukee cutter and used it on some 7/8” lineset before and it cuts in just a few seconds either you got the wrong Custer or a dull blade

I feel like you may have an old or wrong-size MWK because mine takes about 7-10 turns

You should probably hold it tighter and you’d get a faster cut I don’t literally had the same thing and it’ll cut that in 5 to 10 seconds

If you're gunna do a comparison...make sure they both have a new blade. Not just the new out of the box attachment.

Oil the milwaukee and change the cutting wheel. In order to cut a different size pipe with Dewalt you must change the head. Inconvenience! Milwaukee cut 3 different sizes on the fly. If your gonna do a comparison do it right. ☝️

Those old Milwaukee ones go bad and need maintenance I got one that does the same thing you need to maintenance it if you had a new one it'd cut just as fast

The mke one is way faster than displayed. I'm in HVAC and we use that one for every install. Try a new blade and check that you're using tubing within its' range.

I have the Milwaukee pipe cutter. That happens if the pipe isn’t seated correctly in the tool. Other wise it cuts as good as the Dewalt. This my friend is an operator Fail and not a tool Fail.

The Milwaukee one was misaligned, you can tell by the sound it was making, when its lined up right itll cut copper in 4 or 5 turns, i have a stainless steel blade on mine and use it for EMT

I've had Makita, Dewalt, and Milwaukee, over 20+ plus years. Makita did fine, DeWalt failed me many many times. 18 volt Milwaukee stuff was an absolute game changer. I've had Milwaukee for at least 6 years and still haven't had to replace a bettery or tool, other than the Milwaukee soldering iron. The heating element burns out if you leave it on for too long. I'm still running the same drill, 3/8 impact, 1/2 impact, large crimper, large cutter, and sawzall that i bought 6 or more years ago. I use them all every day.

One also a 12v and old and other is a 18v brand new not a fair comparison

The tools don't work, no one will laugh at you, but the problem is you have to learn

The Milwaukee needs a new cutter blade and if your spring set (that pushes the rollers which push the tube and tubing to the cutter ) is worn it doesn't help. It's just a pipe speed cutting wheel in a power tool. The only thing I can say as crit feed back is to do it 1 more time but do the maintenance on the Milwaukee.

I don't think the issue is 12v vs. 20v; it's either cutter blade is dull in the Milwaukee but more likely that the pipe got knocked out of alignment at the start when the DeWalt couldn't correctly center its end of the pipe. I bet if the guy just did individual-tool timed tests and put the pipe only into the Milwaukee (and it has a cutter blade in the same condition as the DeWalt), you would see a different outcome. This was Not a fair comparison.
