I’ve been doing it that way for 15 years or better . ( but with a grinder ) same technique ! Never an issue, always perfect . Love All my Dewalt tools . Btw , I have the same 6 x 6 block and I installed two of those circle kits at my house .🤘🏻
So for anyone wondering where to get a tile blade for this saw, there is a mtp 60grit diamond tile blade for a Rockwell saw. It's the only 4-1/2" tile blade you will find with the 3/8 arbor for this saw, I have it and it fits perfect.. Secondly you can get a bushing adapter that is 5/8 down to 3/8 and use that to adapt any 4-1/2 5/8 arbor tile blade to this saw.
For future note, specially for those tricky "pain the the ass" cuts, your every day angle grinder with a diamond blade on it works great. Also DeWalt has a handheld "tile saw" that would prolly work great for this and could cut a little deeper. It also has a optional water spray hose adapter to help with dust.
thanks for the demo, just got one recently, Had to cut down 2 tree, lots of branches. Was not looking forward to cutting off limbs so I could use the bigger stuff for fire wood . I would usually use my saw-all and loppers for the small stuff and chain saw for the big stuff. But I thought, I wonder... Yep, It Does great cutting small brush up! Pop, pop ,pop off the limbs went and glided thru small branches. It cut my time in 1/2 with a lot less effort.
Rockwell sells masonry discs with a 3/8'' arbor. My local Home Depot has them on the shelf. I've have also found several questionable Chinese brands, but I wouldn't trust them. A local tool rep claims DeWalt and Diablo will be releasing discs with the proper 3/8 sizing for this saw. I've been using the Rockwell disc on my Atomic for cutting Hardi and its way easier and faster than an angle grinder.
I just got mine and the owners manual says not to do this. I have at least two other tools for this. I am not a hater but I am liking what I see so far from this tool. It is heavier than I expected it would be.
Hey bud just wanted to ask how did that saw end up working after a few days weeks cutting brick ? I love the atomic line and looking to get that saw for cutting flooring but would love if it can handle brick also
Honestly anymore, these cordless tools are performing just as good, and in many cases better then the corded versions. Plus you get the added ease of cordless
