Sure a drywall gun with belt attachment may cost a pretty penny for a specialized tool, but if you have to drywall even a few rooms, the speed and accuracy will likely pay for itself. Also, you could also sell the tool afterward making it cheaper than renting one and not have to worry about rushing a job.
Just ordered the whole kit with the cutout tool and the attachment. Be using it on my laundry room remodel next week. It will be a great tool in the adventure of remodeling my entire house. Great video thank you sir.
I bought the same screwdriver like this. Everything is ok, there is only one mistake. The switch for left and right should not be close to the finger, because when I press the switch, the direction lever also moves. That pi should be above the switch.
I might have said this earlier. If you up the battery to 3am, you can push the switch under trigger to be power always on. Good for when your finger want a break.. I got a rash from the triggers and then taped my finger. Without the loader the button really helps. Just don't miss! Lol. Also a FYI, works wonder on fence screwing and odd jobs. The impact is stupid strong, so make sure your straight on or your gonna burn a bit. Push it in without the loaded and twist to side on rev to take one's you want out.. So many tricks on commercial with this.. They don't always spend the extra on collated.
I use same tool is great one of the best I own. Only one downside. With a longer screws 45mm and longer sometimes screws don't want to screw in straight.
good gun, good demo, we have several sites shutdown, cost of materials has made for shortages and 40 houses locally sit unfinished thanks Joe the union breaker
Hi Brad, Yes, this is a great tool to have in your tool box. Can't wait to see which company will make a cordless cement board cutter. Thanks for the video
If you're doing a lot of hardie plank lap siding, I recommend a guillotine for dust free and perfectly clean cuts. the company Bullet Tools makes many different models that have different cutting capacities. Way easier than using shears and no more dust compared to any kind of saw or grinder
Great video, I have this gun(DCF620) with the attachment (DCF6202). I am a fencer and I bought collated decking screws for this but I am having a hard time getting them to feed properly. I bought the Simpson Quick Drive #8x1-5/8 T-25 collated decking screws. Is the a better type of screw strips that I can order? Otherwise both the screw gun and the DCF6202 feeding attachment are useless to me. Thank you for your time and consideration!
YEAH RIGHT ITS SO MUCH HARDER EVERYONE THATS BEEN IN THIS GAME HAS BEEN LOOKING FOR A REAL EVEN MORE POWERFUL WAY TO USE SCREWS BUT THAT CAN GO THROUGH ANYTHING METAL WOOD AND USE ALL TYPES AS WILL.
I am going to try this boarding fences as an alternative to a nail gun using deck screws from senco. Should be able to go nearly as fast and make a far superior end product!
@@hammerandhome been thinking about using the dewalt drywall gun instead with the collated attachment. Only does up to 2 inch screws but that's all I need for boarding fences. I heard it's better than senco. Thoughts?
I bought one , that is fantastic 👏 I'm very happy with this magazine. But I can't find these long thin bits nothing in home depot nothing in lowes , only Amazon saved my ass with bits but quality is lowest one 😄
Thanks for responding. Oh God that is stupid to sell product but no parts for this product, well try Amazon I found it there if you want I can send you a link they're about 35 bucks for 10 pieces
I totally love this. I have a bigger drywall project coming up, and im definitely buying a drywall gun. Half of my project needs 3" drywall screws though. Any ideas? It almost looks like one could modify the detents in that guide to fit 3".
question to anyone who can answer. The Metabo can also do other collated screws can this one do like subfloor square head screws? I have all dewalt so i wanted to keep it all the same but i can get a factory refurbished Metabo for 75 drywall collated screw gun but corded or spend 200 and get this set. any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just bought my first home and redoing ALL of the drywall and adding on 350sq ft master bedroom and bathroom. Have a wonderful day
Hi Brad, after watching your excellent video on the Dewalt DCF620 tool along with the DCF6201 extension, I am left with the following question. I see that in the video you mention that you use the SENCO continuous strip screws and that they are a bit expensive. Question, the plastic strips that are left empty, could they be reloaded with new screws to reuse them again? Thank you very much if you help me with this doubt.
I wanted to use this for deck screws. Is there a particular name for the type of screws it needs? Aside from the length & width number. Like “ Senco ( or other brand) auto feed screws
Unfortunately it only does Philips screws. And as far as I know know one makes treated Philips on a clip for this gun. I use the senco gun for my treated screws for fencing. For decks I use the camo system which is by far the best system for decking.
It looks like a great tool. I have a question We just framed out my basement with metal studs, do they sell screws for that gun to be used to attach drywall to metal studs? Thanks
Thanks for the review. Your title states DCF620B but the data plate on the side of the screw gun at 0:28 just said DCF620. Is there a difference? Thanks
unfortunately I haven't found a Robertson bit for this tool, if they made one, than you would be able to use it for treated screws for fencing, I use a Sinco gun for fencing, dewalt makes another tool similar to this for metal roofing. i will leave you a couple links ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tbpyLOsKLTs.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CM9WSuOTcpk.html

MDF usually needs to be predrilled, i find that screwing into MDF without drilling first just mushes the material and you don't get a very good hold, I wouldn't recommend this gun for mdf or chipboard
Great video!! Do you ever have any issues with the screws advancing? My attachment isn’t setting up the next screw.. I’m using the same gun, attachment, and screws..
Does some one have experience using one of these on tile trade using it to screw durock or go board? if so what are your thoughts vs using a roofing nailer
the senco guns are great for using the coated screws for showers, i would never use a roofing nailer, the dewalt gun is great and you can use other brands of collated magazines on it, like senco or hilti. hope that helps a bit
i have yet to find a Robertson bit for this unit, if they make a Robertson bit you could use sinco deck screws, not sure how the tool itself would hold up to the harder screwing.
ONE QUESTION A BIG! ONE !!! Is it possible to have something like this using 1/4 hex head screws ???? ( not the inside shape hex BUT the actual hexagon head screws for metal ???.
I know exactly what you mean, this gun is not what you need but Dewalt does make what you need. here is a link to the review I did on that gun. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tbpyLOsKLTs.html
its ok, i find if you have to screw at a bit of an angle it might leave the screw proud, i have found most auto guns do this, that's why i like the ability to pull the magazine off and finish with the driver.
you could if you can find the robertson bit for this, I'm not sure if they make one but i can't find it, I use my Senco cordless gun for fences, i will never go back. It's a major time saver.
Does it have an automatic switch to turn on motor when you apply pressure to the screw or do you have to keep holding down the trigger and let motor just run constantly?
@@innarlilleorg6919 that’s true. But that’s not what he is asking. There are models like the festool that done stay on running until you depress the front tip. Totally different operation.
I actually haven't used it on aluminum studs yet, I have a job booked for Feb so i will give it a go. I know my synco works fine with aluminum so i'm sure the dewalt will be fine as well.
