Here’s a comparison between the Dewalt folding table and the Worx Pegasus folding table. These are both great tables but one is definitely better than the other 😉
I have both and each have their strengths and weaknesses. Worx is slightly more versatile but very awkward to transport if you have limited space due to its odd dimensions. DeWalt is just a rectangular box, can be laid down with other tools sitting on top or stood on its edge taking up little space. Deploying the Worx on a job once bit my hand pretty badly. Once bitten twice shy. Reviewer should have discussed the weight of each. Worx is significantly heavier which makes a difference when carrying tools to a job site. As the review demonstrates, hand-carrying it can be problematic just because the thing can open up on (and bite) you. Also, DeWalt work surface stands about an inch lower than Worx, making them difficult to use in tandem like sawhorses. As a contractor, for my purposes the DeWalt gets the nod for simplicity, compactness and weight savings.
Great point on the weight and ergonomics... 30 lbs vs 23 lbs making the Worx 30% heavier than the DeWalt. And the DeWalt has a handle and no pinch points. Makes a big difference going up and down stairs and transporting in a car.
On the underside, the inside corners of the DeWalt. There is a plastic piece of molding that slides into the side of the table. It has a groove in it to allow the silver bar for the legs to move back and forth when the legs fold up. That fitting is held in place with the tiniest of plastic snaps that go into the side of the thin wall of the table. I just received this table from Amazon and that plastic piece fell right off. What I would call the female fitting on the side of the table in the corner, the bottoms of that thin wall or snapped right off and that holder for the leg slide falls right out. It really doesn't give me confidence in this table if it comes out of the box this way. I wish I could post a picture.
Got mine at the Home Depot and didn’t have any issues yet 🤞. I wish I could have gotten the hart work table that was made bye keter back in the day and it was cheap to 🤙
I watched a number of workbench reviews and bought the Worx. I like it enough to save up for a second one. For my needs, it’s close to perfect but nothing really is.
Nice job on the review, a couple of things though. Dewalt table: does not come with any bar clamps or clamp dogs (not everyone has bar clamps). It also does not look like you can use the bar clamps horizontally like you can on the Worx table. Worx table: comes with 2 bar clamps and 4 clamp dogs (you did not mention the importance and versatility those add).
Dewalt no shelve, no dogs, no clamps, no dedicated space to mount power strip, no saw horse, no way to connect multiple tables. The Worx comes with all these features. Sorry Dewalt, you failed.
There are a lot of variables that go into why one table would be better than another depending on the job you're doing and where you are doing it either one could be better than the other on any given day...🤔
Not a single one of these reviews shows ripping a 2x4 on the side. It's all examples of the 2x4 running from the inside as opposed to running by the outer spine (side).
Lowe’s has Toughbuilt workbench on sale for $69. It is exact same as dewalt workbench with better features. The Toughbuilt version has another push button to retract handle and four corners Toughbuilt clip hook space.
Perfect review. Could you confirm that tested Dewalt is same product as Stanley FatMax Express cause we don't have that DeWalt product in Europe while we have Stanley instead.
everything good with worx except it doesn't have a handle to move around.... You will get all the dust on the table in your arm pits when move around.. Wish they were little smarter when they build it.. Dewalt has much simpler mechanism and intuitive, lighter and also has a handle. I can not stand but reckon that little connection clip to another was just afterthoughts... I don't want to imagine I lost it... but very highly
Height!!! What is the working height of each? The Worx appears to be maybe an inch to an-inch-and-a-half higher than the DeWalt although neither would be high/tall enough to avoid an aching back after five minutes of task work on the table top. I mean, these are "task" tables, right? btw, your review is very good. But I would like to know how they stack up in actual use. Basically I don't see much material difference between the two. I don't like the DeWalt handle sticking out, and the Worx clamping feature gets a big meh. I have clamps up the ying yang. I suppose I might favor the Worx by a tiny bit but not enough to buy it. Adjustable legs that provide upwards of 36" or 37" working height would be a big plus. At 6'-2", I wouldn't do well working on these. I do a lot of my own home remodeling and use two saw horses and a hollow core door for work surface. Obviously quick clamps work well with this setup, and very easy to break down. Hollow core doors (I have three for different uses) can be carried with one finger if you buy the ones with the pre-drilled door lockset hole. And easily stored standing up against a wall.
The dewalt is my main table now I sold my worx but if you want a dewalt style but without the handle sticking out then lock at the Toughbuilt work table that’s my next purchase and might sell my dewalt if it’s that good. But high there not much difference.
Please highlight the holes on the side of the dewalt table. You can put clamps in there too to hold pieces vertically. I am debating which of the two I should get. Thank you for your video. It gives me a lot of info to make my decision.
My cat is now felling so good these days and I’m asking people to share the video with as much people as possible to help pay for the vet bills 😩. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6ujPIq809U0.html any help would really be appreciated 🙂
THE WORX YOU ALSO HAVE A SAW HORSE . My problem is the weight of them . I saw that lowes has the toughbuilt for 69 dollars but gosh they are heavy . Thing is how many times are you going to put that much weight on them . I was just in lowes 10/24/2022 and it is in their ad I do like the recessed trays for screws or drill bits that always seem to decide to excape the table . I saw husky in home depot and it weighs less but is 99 dollars . Is your cat bored , she looks like prisoner pacing her jail 😀 UNLEVEL GROUND UNLEVER TABLE
Why do you need a light table? If the toughbuild ever gets sold in Canada im getting it but it won’t be 69$ unfortunately 😒. If you really need something light weight I’m sure you could have somebody make you a custom carbon fibre table $$$$$😜
LOL she wants to go outside of the backyard but she not afraid of oncoming car so if I let her run wild in the neighbourhood she would get crushed by a car pretty fast ☹️ but don’t worry I take her on adventure in the wild in the summer 😉
It's just a matter of time and someone is going to shear one or both of their baby fingers off putting their hands out to the edges while folding them up. I phoned the company report line, the guy could hardly speak English and all he wanted to do was apologize
