My 10 year old 75k btu heater would ignite, then go out, ignite then go out, etc. Thanks to your video I found both the fuel and air hoses badly cracked. Replaced both hoses and cleaned the filters. Runs great. Thanks !!!
I have one of these - it smokes and makes terrible fumes - I think it needs MORE combustion air - I took off all of the top cover screws and then only installed one in each corner - BUT I added a stack of washers to create an approximate gap of 1/4” between the top and bottom covers, and used longer screws to accommodate the spacers - I also added graphite powder to the pump parts… but I think it’s the air intake that helps - try running it without the top cover for a minute - it roars like the devil with all that air… try at your own risk… worked for me - no fumes, no smoke… and the nose cone gets orange at the bare minimum fuel pressure adjustment
Another idea that works great for mine is, when it's cold (like first thing in the morning) is to hold your finger over the adjustment screw while you turn it on. That send a full shot of fuel to the burner and it starts up instantly so you don't get that puff of smoke. I found that little piece of info in my owners manual the other day.
Fixed my issue 👍 I assume it’s a draft system kinda like a carburetor. On my model the fuel line is behind the air line so it most likely relies on suction from the air flow. This allows it to pull fuel up from the tank and aids in the air fuel mixing
@@SRTPCC I looked at my dewalt heater it’s the DXH9OCFAK the insides are different then yours. Mine saying code E3 does not want to fire up and leaking fuel a slow
I got myself the 90000 btu model as well… lasted a month before it randomly started turning off and saying low fuel even tho I just added fuel to it. And just yesterday it started throwing gray smoke out
