I'm looking at changing a few of my Milwaukee tools over to DeWalt, and have had my Milwaukee trimmer and blower for 6-7 years, and the only issues are the trimmer spool can sometimes be a little finicky to re-load, and the blower air inlet sucking in loose clothing...an adjustable and directional air inlet would be nice. That DeWalt motor being on the business end...vibration and cooling air inlets, looks pretty sketchy to me. I guess the Milwaukee trimmer and blower are keepers...not bad for a couple of 'end of season $99 (Cdn.) display models'.

How much runtime did you get with your batteries? If you can include run times for both settings (1 and 2) if you used both for the duration of the battery, that would be great.

Tried both of them; bought the dewalt. They are both better than gas so buy whatever brand batteries you already have

dude. you compared a Milwaukee Fuel vs a Dewalt 20V. Should have compared Dewalt 60v with attachment capability.

If you've ever seen a Li-ion battery fire you'll appreciate Milwaukee's tech that doesn't allow you to charge a hot battery...it's a feature, not a bug.

the dewalt has a better angle and feels better using but it died after 2 years. the milwauke is longer but last longer

I had two Dewalt like yours crap out with the motor on the head, got two seasons out of both. Both it was the motor circuit board that was the issue. The motor allow dirt and moisture to get in, very poor design. Milwaukee runs circles around Dewalt. Its buyer beware, stay away from this model or any with motor on head.
