You really do have the will of Ironman. Unbelievable amount of failed scrolls, that took you hours upon hours to cultivate, took dozens of thousands of kills, all for almost nothing, and you still keep going. That is nothing short of amazing. I can only hope to ever have this level of determination in small things.
when i was younger my first experience with the king block golems were from ludi PQ. so i thought all king block golems were unkillable, even in the tower. i was always so nervous going down the eos tower because of them lol
LOL! What a story! I had the attention to explore as a kid but not enough to level up. I ended up in Omega Sector in my early level 20s one day and couldn't make it back up the tower.. I had to restart from scratch!

This series is homage to the Swampletics series. That is why it's packaged as an ironman to end game solo with a similar intro :) I'm glad you're enjoying it. I hope this is properly expressed in a way that feels we both enjoyed his work rather than I'm attempting to piggyback or take/steal from him or his ideas.
2:50 Ellin Ring doesn't require an event, party quest or gachapon ticket, you get it as a quest reward in Ellin Forest! Same goes for Monster Ring for obv reason, monster cards n such
Great catches! These ones are actually off my radar though because of what patch they were added to the game rather than being non-ironman or non-F2P. I've loosely determined I'll use everything from v63 and earlier to keep as much of the ~2006 content as I can. I've been using Togain's RU-vid video and an article titled "What Came When" on DigitalTQ to fact check this stuff.
Hey, I would strongly consider farming 240 maple pops (+100 accuracy buff that lasts 1 minute) and 240 heartstoppers (+60 w.att) for when you actually face zakum. would make the fight much more likely to succeed.
Hmmm I don't think I have any side goals like that. Some cool stuff like this might end up happening just to make good progress though! Those higher end mobs drop good scrolls. So for example if those Balrogs drop some 10% Glove DEX scrolls and I need them again for some reason I'd rather go there than fight more Dark Stumps 😅
Great question! STR is not available as a scroll for shoes, so any STR on a shoe is pretty valuable! Also, shoe scrolls at 10% give +3 DEX or ACC. If you start with a shoe that gives this already (or even more!!!) you basically start with a snow shoe that landed a 10%.
You know, having 4 dex isn't actually realistic, you would never be able to achieve 3 of 4 points to stats (dex int luk) at the same cube roll when creating a character. I think the lowest it could go was 7 points with 2 other stats at 4 points and the rest at another (str) with 11. You should look it up for specific values, but if you're going for realism in old school maple, you deserve to have at least 1-3 more dex at your base stats.
It just takes a ton of rolls! It's not impossible. I think 13/4/4/4 is impossible or just takes like 6 hours of rolling.. 12 in a main stat is much more common; if one stat gets a 12, the other stats are guaranteed to be 4 4 and 5 because the base stats must total 25. That leaves you with a 33% chance the stat worth 5 is INT rather than LUK or DEX. It feels completely awful to accidentally skip a 12 STR roll or get the point in DEX or LUK.
You know you can buy (10) 100% overall dex scrolls from the kerning person? You can scroll a bathrobe and have an easy 10 dex Atleast while you upgrade your equips.
@@tujou Keep doing you bro, if he’s saying you copied or stole the Ironman format from swampletics he doesn’t know how long the “Ironman” series has been going for, I remember back in 2007 they were doing it in world of Warcraft and before that it was in RuneScape classic called the “DIY concept”. You have hands down the best Maplestory Ironman series out.

It's a fair criticism but sometimes I wonder if I should be doing a better job emphasizing this is done out of love for Swampletics rather than to piggyback on it or avoid making something more "original"

I'm still chopping up footage 😅 I've been putting in a few hours of work a day while my schedule recovers. I served jury duty for weeks and it's got me behind in all aspects of life but we'll be back on track soon. Video's just about under half way done.
