I review the first season once every fourth because I love this duet to the point of madness. Madly in love with Brian so much that I can’t stand the thought to look beyond the first season, although yes, yes, I know that he will appear later, but the very realization that he is no longer there, as a “real person” next to dexter, kills me. I don’t have the strength to watch the last episodes of the first season, you know the answer, and so I went to RU-vid to see something worthwhile. I saw it. I cried, as the most tormented and disfigured animal in life, which lost everything and even itself. I cried as much as I never cried. Probably all organs vomited from me, it was so painful inside and in front of my eyes. But, God, you know, this is the best and liveliest feeling I have experienced in the last couple of years. Living with fandoms without knowing how and not feeling your life is already a habit. But this ... what you have created ... All these parallels and symbolism, all this pain and sincerity destroyed me and I am more than anyone thankful for that. Thank. Thank you for the terrible pain for which it is worth living. For the pain that allowed you to smile that you did not live this day in vain. Thank.

The killer in me is the killer in you is such a great lyric and fits this so much.. I wish Debra died instead, I wish Doakes lived.. Brian could have taken him down a very dark and fast path but they would be together and in their eyes full and whole and complete, Doakes could have fixed Dexter, he even said they would face it together and that he would help him, even to the last moment right before shutting down and closing his eyes from the monster that Dexter had given himself up to be he fought and he screamed and he told him to stop but Dexter didn’t want to he could have but he didn’t.

i think dexter made me cry more than any other show ever made...it was deeply moving... brian's character was very powerful..its the best season or as equal to the ones with Trinity but in a different way... the seasons with brian were the most emotional

yes! i heard this song cuz its one of SP best songs and i said "this would be a good song for a fan edit video for dexter... so glad others made this connection

Brian and Dexter are like Hannibal and Will. Hannibal keeps telling Will to go with him and unleash his killer with him but he refuses always. The only difference is that Will was in love with Hannibal and couldn't live without him or live with him so he killed himself with Hannibal.
