A beta version of music video tribute I made to the show Dexter. The theme songs are "Secret" by The Pierces, "The Mark Has Been Made" by Nine Inch Nails and "Change (In The House Of Flies)" by Deftones.

Amazing tribute. Dexter is a true psychopath, a monster, one of a kind. Such an amazing character, he is awesome. He is the bad, the ugly, and the problem. he destroyed everyone he knew, without even doing anything. His urges, his world, it got around him: and it finally broke him: a great psychopath - Dexter Morgan.

What a fantastic tribute to an incredible show! The music fit the dark tone perfectly - 0:07 reminded me of one of my favorite scenes in the series. In the pilot when Dexter looks down at the empty box of doughnuts and says "Empty... Just like me..."

Wow what a fanvideo tribute. 8 only watched the first 2.5 seasons or so i think and i always intended to finish it but now so many years later i don't think this show is meant for me. I don't need this intense darkness in my life but i love seeing such a perfect fanvideo tribute. Your editing is so mesmerizing!!

This is by far the most amazing tribute video to Dexter I have ever seen! Can I ask what program you used to splice the videos together? I'm just learning to use editing software, working off Avidmux. Any pointers would be appreciated. I'm planning a tribute vid to Dex using Lux Aeterna once the final season is finished.

At 2:13 you can briefly see the words 'Ernest Dickerson' over a scene before it changes. I downloaded this in a mp4 and checked it out carefully through QuickTime as well. Narvinek, if you are reading this, I advise you should delete this if the scene stays in your Final Dexter Tribute.

Awesome video, but the showtime promo at the end was a bit jarring. Can I suggest that you cut to a Dexter title card when Dexter looks back at Deb? At which point Dexter would say "Uh-oh" over the title card before it fades away. Other than the ending, this video was great! Keep it up!

Great video, the editing was well done and all the quotes worked really well with the chosen scenes. I did a tribute/recap for Dexter and found it interesting that we both ended the video with the same scene and even used the title card for season 7, though I removed mine at the end after the season started. If you get the chance you should check it out, I'd appreciate the feedback since you clearly have a big interest in tribute videos.

Rita had to die. I didn't want her to down deep, but it fitted the story pefectly and dexter was free again. Also its the last season/2nd last season now. They have to show deb discovering him in SOME way and this was basically perfect for that. if they show went on perfectly with him never getting into bad situations, it'd suck.

It's not "oh, no", but "uh-oh". "Oh, God" appears originaly and it's a great choice of words regarding season's theme, but taken out of context it's not the best way to end a video.

Dexter won't slip. Walter will. Hank knows everything about walter and will find it out. in that sense the shows are pretty similar, a very close person discovers their relative is a criminal/Serial Killer :tears:. YEAH, MR WHITE!

it wasn't that they drag it it was a bunch of show runners and writers leaving for what ever reason. this show could have gone longer of they had the right writers, so much could have been told with the story but they didn't have all the right people. its not like breaking bad where the story was driven to the story it had. pretty much everything that on breaking bad need to happened, the only way that magnificent went longer is they had written it different. but dexter is so strong in the 1st 4 seasons they go down in a great rank.

I like Dexter, but I don't think it reaches the quality of Breaking Bad. It's good, but not THAT good. The main things of Dexter I dislike are the fact that each season, especially until season 6, is almost a story per se, with few connection with the others (I prefer TV series that, like BrBa, tell a story from the first episode to the last) and I sometimes find it repetivite. Anyway, everyone is entitled to his own opinion :)

I love seasons 1-4 & 7 and 5 being alright but seasons 6 & 8 make it not as great as it could've been and honestly kinds of ruins dexter for me. Could've been up there with breaking bad, the sopranos, the wire etc. in my opinion but the 2 bad seasons leave dexter as just something that could've been.
