The episodes on this box set aren’t arranged in either broadcast order (like the standalone DVD release of Dexter’s Laboratory: Season 1 from 2010) or production order, but rather the order that the series was presented in on Warner Bros. Entertainment’s own streaming service, HBO Max, back when Dexter’s Laboratory used to be available to stream there from its launch in May 2020 until May 2023. The Complete Series DVD set for Dexter’s Laboratory simply dumps the HBO Max prints of the show onto discs,…which makes me wish we got a Blu-ray version of this set, since those masters are in HD.
This is more proof Dexter’s Laboratory: The Complete Series should have also gotten a Blu-ray release. Samurai Jack: The Complete Series is on Blu-ray with the first four seasons made in standard-definition, no excuse.
@@JasontheCartoonFan well to be fair, seasons 1 and 2 of dexters lab was released at a time where cartoons were shot on film but edited and mastered on video, so the film prints are most likely extinct I can actually see seasons 3 and 4 of dexters lab on blu ray since those seasons are animated in digital ink and paint Actually I can also see the series as a whole on blu ray with the same sd on bd blu ray thing diskotek did with sonic x

Now Regular Show, Johnny Bravo, and Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy needs a complete series release. Regular Show needs one on Blu-ray since seasons 1 and 2 got a Blu-ray release and season 3 only got a dvd release.
The North American Dexter's Laboratory Season 1 DVD from 2010 has the episodes in the correct production order, except for the banned "Dial M for Monkey: Barbequor" episode.

I'd love to get The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy (Grim & Evil, etc.), Codename: Kids Next Door, and Osmosis Jones on complete series sets someday. I'd possibly get a couple of others, but this is the era where cartoons really went down hill in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I did have a few I liked from that era and now I have four of them in complete series box sets. Cool unboxing for a cool looking set. Dexter's Lab is probably my favorite CN title. I'm glad to finally have it.
5:33 yeah ego trip was the tv movie that aired between the original run by Genndy Tartakovsky (1995 to 1999) and the infamous Chris Savino run (2001 to 2003). The reason I say the latter is infamous is because of misconduct that Savino caused over the years on the shows he's worked on. 10:44 it's probably the order of production they were made. Because for animated shows episodes especially comedic ones with two 15 minute segments are made out of order. However if I had to take a wild guess it's probably the one on the right; and another thing I want to point out is although the complete series box set says it's six seasons, it's really 4. The reason they said six is because season 2 had 108 segments which was 39 episodes. In reality the box should've said on the back all 78 episodes plus ego trip. However that's a minor nit pick.
Now we need complete series releases for Ben 10, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Megas XLR, and Johnny Bravo and have all of the Ed Edd n Eddy holiday specials and the eds tv movie be released as well. Plus, have all of their complete series be put onto blu ray discs.
So we got the ed, edd , n Eddy and Foster's home for imaginary friends . The Powerpuff girls and Dexters lab. now we need Johnny bravo, codename kids next door and grim adventures of Billy and Mandy plus my gym partners a monkey.. those are the only ones missing for the 30th anniversary of cartoon network

Guess what. They finally fixed the error on the slipcover for the 2024 version of the Powerpuff Girls Complete Series DVD release. So I guess it’s safe to buy it now
I can't find it listed anywhere online except through third party sellers using stock photos. I guess for now I'm stuck with the error. It's not a huge deal, but I just prefer the better cover if it's available. Hopefully, it'll be back in stock soon.

Much like other pieces of home media like iTunes and Amazon Prime, the complete series DVD set from USA says that Dexter’s Lab has six seasons instead of saying that it has four seasons. That’s because of Dexter’s Lab being a six season series in Cartoon Network’s eyes due to Season 2 being a combination of three production seasons.
Production order is weird on this show, especially when this show was technically cancelled at one point and put on hiatus throughout 2000, but then revived in 2001.
@@andykishorethe series wasn’t originally canceled originally it was supposed to end with the first 2 seasons and the tv movie Ego Trip going from 1996-1998 with the movie running in 1999 and that’s it due to Genndy leaving to work on Samurai Jack he didn’t return but Dexter’s Lab was revived in 2001 due to reruns being well only for seasons 3&4 which ran from 2001-2003 and be worked on by show runner Chris Savino to suck and not be well and that’s what led to the shows cancellation
@@Code1Lyoko Well that would explain why the last episode of the original series is called "Last But Not Beast." The revival series also premiered episodes out of production order which is why "2Geniuses 2Gether 4Ever" is the last episode produced of the revival, but not the last in airing order.

One set is likely in broadcast order and the other is production order. Steve Harvey’s sitcom from the 90s “The Steve Harvey Show” is like that on streaming. Hulu has the broadcast order, which is how it should be to properly line up continuous storylines. Amazon prime has production order, which throws some of the continuing storylines out of sync. As for the disc holders, Maxell and Memorex brand have “keeper” disc sleeves. I usually buy sets of those for these types of cases and toss the trays out.
I hope they also make Johnny bravo Billy & Mandy complete series!!! Also I think they made Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends I might need to get those both!!

Thanks again very much for uploading this particular unboxing video and I can't wait to pick up this collection set next too since Dexter's Laboratory is also one of my most favorite cartoons from my childhood ever! I've been waiting though for this unboxing video, and I actually have a birthday coming up pretty soon in just a few more weeks, so I might think about picking this up for my birthday from Amazon since I'll be doing some more online shopping on Amazon again soon like I always do for my birthday each year. It would have been nice though perhaps if the DVDs themselves in this case were organized a little better instead of being stacked like that too since the discs themselves can easily fall out and become damaged if the case is not being treated carefully or something. I even have both the Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Ed, Edd n Eddy complete series DVD sets too and the discs for those collection sets are also the same way, especially since I've already seen the unboxing videos for them already.
Got this after it was already in stores and i like that the show is finally available, after only the first season being available for the longest time. Also it's nice that this has the Ego Trip TV movie given that was only previously available on DVD in the Australian R4 Complete Experiments set and it's also the first release here since back when VHS was still around. Even though the two more or less banned episodes Dial M for Monkey: Barbequor and Rude Removal aren't available on this it's still a good set for what is here even if i don't regard the revival episodes (done by Chris Savino and CN Studios from 2001 to 2003) to the same degree as the ones made by Genndy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken, Rob Renzetti, Paul Rudish and others who were part of the original crew.
I’d say this set is only _just_ about worth it with the inclusion of the movie. If it didn’t have that I’d have a much harder time recommending it, but it is a really really good inclusion and it’s cool they seem to have learned since the Ed Edd n Eddy set
It’s happy to see Ego Trip be part of Dexter’s Lab’s American complete series DVD set. However, I’m not sure about Billy and Mandy or Kids Next Door, I don’t see their potential complete series DVD sets have all of their movies and specials. Billy and Mandy: Billy and Mandy Save Christmas, Big Boogey Adventure, and Underfist: Halloween Bash. Kids Next Door: Operation: Z.E.R.O., The Grim Adventures of the KND, and Operation: I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S.
Lets just not go there yet especially after getting lucky with ego here despite messing up the Ed's set and having most cn classics not having their movies and specials on streaming at least cn released the Billy and mandy ones even though both oop i do have faith they release it next with both still included til then i keep both of those releases sealed even though they were said part of cns disc rot zone with the original ppg set
@@flybuttero Yeah, some jerks keep dismissing it as "oh a rights thing whatever." I don't care, that still messes things up for viewers and reactors, regardless on if they are watching the show on DVD or streaming. Because I know one reaction channel said they that despite REPEATEDLY getting requests to watch it, they had to dig hard to find Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show due to that movie being missing on both streaming and DVD releases.
Yeah, I know I can watch "Rude Removal" online for free, but online uploads are of varying quality. The original January 2013 upload from the Adult Swim RU-vid channel being taken down now doesn't help matters. Some uploads have the episode in 240p quality, but with great audio quality. Other uploads have the episode in 480p quality, but p otato quality audio. Some uploads have the episode "fan made un censored" with making the characters actually sw ear. Other uploads have the episode with the actual bleeps that it was always intended to be made and released as according to storyboard member Craig McCracken on Tw itter X. It's all just one big mess. I still would have preferred "Rude Removal" in high quality to be included on this DVD set so that way I can watch it and always know it would be in high quality instead of the RU-vid uploads that are often either in p otato quality or have swe aring edits added to them.

Its nice of them to print out a extra paper for a episode list. Its good that sometimes they put it on the other side of the slip cover, but this is better.
I remember Dexter's laboratory back in 2015 or so, and it's a really enjoyable show. I like the characters, including Dexter himself. The voice actors are pretty good, including Christine Cavanaugh, which I recognize her for voicing Chuckie in the Rugrats From the very beginning in 1991 and all the way to 2002 when she was replaced with Nancy Cartwright. As for Candi Milo, she was a decent voice for Dexter in the later seasons. The animation, awesome sequences, and humor I wouldn't mind getting this box set myself because this is a show that I fondly remember.

So here are the contents for this boxset and Ik what seasons are what season 1 is of course season 1 seasons 2-4 are season 2 divided up into three different volumes with ego trip not being included and Last But Not Beast being not the season finale as it’s supposed too since the movie comes right after season 5 is season 3 with all 13 episodes but with the first episode of season 4 packed as the 14th episode and season 6 being season 4 with the 12 remaining episodes and Ego Trip added a bonus which is weird placed still but yea that’s how it’s packed here everyone
Who knows why? Either because they didn’t want to put the episodes in proper order or they got it wrong and now they had the make Season 1 consistent with the other seasons
I have some questions here to ask in case if anyone would happen to possibly know the answers to them even though this might seem off-topic and all, but I was just wondering anyway: 1. My e-mail account hasn't been hacked or anything, but a while back I noticed that my e-mail account/address has started receiving various spam e-mails and this has been an ongoing problem for me since this has been happening almost every day for the past several months. What exactly causes this to happen? 2. I might have also accidentally responded to a spam e-mail or two from before even though I didn't mean to do so, and it seems like ever since then, my e-mail account has just been receiving even more spam mail that way. What exactly causes that to happen too and why? 3. If you open and/or interact with spam e-mails in any way, how exactly do the scammers themselves know if you responded to their e-mails like that? 4. Is there also some possible way to completely stop the spam mail altogether or not? I've been reporting the e-mails, deleting them, blocking them, and even blocking the e-mail addresses and domains where the e-mails have been coming from, but it seems like no matter what I've been trying to do, nothing seems to be stopping it so far and I sometimes even receive some spam e-mails somehow from certain senders even though I already have their e-mail addresses blocked although they shouldn't be going through to me if I already have them blocked. I just thought of asking these questions though in case if anyone knows the answers to them and I know this is kind of off-topic and all, but this is just something that I've been having to deal with now for quite some time and it's just really aggravating too although I wish it would somehow stop. I just want to know why and how this sort of thing happens, and also if there's a way to possibly stop it somehow.
I also don't understand the order thing, I noticed it right away and still can't find a reason. I'm very happy with the set, though the case is garbage in my book, I replaced it with slip sleeves right away.
