Hey I wanted to see if you could help with an issue when I do record my sets. Every time I record my set it only saves 2 hrs and 45 mins of if can you tell if I'm doing something wrong? Is there a time limit with recording your sets?
@@blakemcloughlin9185 yes I have monthly subscription on both serato pro and sound cloud where I stream my playlist and yet can't record my mix. Always says eject tracks from decks to start recording. I probably would consider the first option. Thanks
I'm using a Pioneer DDJ-SX2, none of my levels are no where near peaking but the sound quality when I play it back is awful and the sound wave levels are really low. Any suggestions?
For some reason I do not see the record button -- in any of four possible page layouts -- even though I have a Serato Pro subscription. Ever encounter that problem?
at the top left of the software unless you are using Scratch Live or a SL Box without that option. In that case research recording on scratch live. These tip on this video apply to Serato DJ and Serato DJ Pro with a controller or Serato certified mixer (not SL Boxes)
1 question! could I record my mix with the SL2 and a mixer without an internal soundcard? if i can't, I solve the problem using a MIXARS DUO? really thankssss
Can serato DJ pro record from using a microphone? I got the mixer, the interface, and the mic but idk if it can record my voice wit it too, can you help me out on that?
I do not have the "record mix" option in my Serato DJ. I am using the SL3 along with a mixer and two turntables. I have the option to record channel 1, channel 2, or channel 3. Channel 3 allows me to record a live mix but the sound quality is very poor. Do I need a controller to get the "record mix" option?
+Kevin Colvin (DJ Keno) I'm having the same issue with SL4. The "mix" option isn't showing up. I updated to Serato DJ 1.9.0 but the problem persists....I doubt the problem is with the computer....it's a setting that isn't showing up...
i have tried recording a mix with music from pulselocker however pulse locker have blocked me from recording for legality reasons , where do you get your music from which will allow me to record my mixes?
WHEN I RECORD I AM NOT GETTING ANY SOUND AND I HAVE FOLLOWED EACH STEP!! MY RECORD LEVELS WILL NOT MOVE BUT MY TRACK ONES DO ?? DOES IT HAVE TO BE PLUGGED INTO SOME SORT OF SPEAKER AS RIGHT NOW IM JUST USING MY LAPTOP SPEAKERS. PLEASE HELP
Question... i’ve recorded quite a bit of mix tracks along with other songs... now my recording file is not letting me record anything else? Is there a limit?
Daniel Matthew Comedy serato has a 2 hour limit on rec time. Other than that I'm aware of no restrictions. There used to be a block on rec tunes from iTunes but there are work arounds on that too
My record input is only showing in the lower volume channel, meaning I can record and hear my full mix, but only in one side of the headphones/speaker. It's not a balance issue on my mixer and have tried switching my RCA cables. Any other ideas?
I use a Roland DJ 505 with Serato pro. I am unable to record a mix. When I press save it does not create an crate for recoding nor does it saves in any folder. Any suggestions?
make sure on the drop down you select "mix" for your recording option and not ch1 ch2 ch3 etc... also make sure these are not protected files from -i-tunes or another source. Serato used to not allow the recording of those files. So make sure they are a non-protected file format. I believe the 505 comes with a subscription to BPM Supreme. Their files are good to go. Hope this helps. OH!!! And if you are on a PC it could be the way your soundcard is set up (ASIO) .... thanks
Please help... When i click record the only option i have is channel 1 2 3 4 no mix, I've tried everything, im loosing my mind haha... New set up, reloop 8000 mk 2, allen & Heath xone 43c mixer, full serato dj, dvs, but I just can't record... Can anyone help... Thankyou 👍
I'm on CDJ + SL4 and when I open up the REC controls MIX doesnt show up in the drop down menu. it only shows Channel 1, Channel 2, Channel 3, Channel 4 and Aux?? Help!? THanks in advance!
sorry for the late response. on the sl boxes Audacity can do the recording or you can purchase a digital recorder such as the Gemini DRP1. I believe the sl4 added a record function.
Last time I recorded a song on serato then edited it in audacity, I saved the edited version as a new file and put it into serato. The file played without any issues for a few times. But, after those few times, the file started to crash serato every time I played it. Any ideas on why this happened, or how I can prevent it from happening again?
Aeodi Graphics you might have saved it as a variable rate MP3 which means the quality goes up and down during the course of the song. Repeat the same process and select 192 as your quality
Is there a way where u can can and edit ur recording while still mixing.. for example u miss the point where ur about to mix in the next song so u go back and redo that part ....
no... it records as you mix in real time. you could always stop the mix....save it...play it back and mix in at the point first missed (while recording) and then continue . hope that makes sense.
I'm getting half volume on my recordings. I can't seem to get the volume higher. I have even tried o go through audacity to normalize the track. Any thoughts?
I still have the issue lol! Watching the gain meters for each song and also the master gains, knowledge of your tracks and the natural volume they're recorded at helps a ton too. I'm looking into mastering tracks post recording at the moment, I'll let you know what I find!
of course. using whatever your favorite burn software is. make sure that given software is able to read/burn AIFF or Wav files (depending on which format you selected). after recording and saving the file. retrieve the file from the location you save it to (by default its Serato > Recordings)
its basically saying you can't record using the tracks from the streaming service you are using because of copyright. you have to use downloaded music from your computer
you need to upgrade to Serato DJ to have these same options. To record w/ SL3 try this …. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1hwCzJ3nI88.html
he is probably using a controller. I have the same problem when using an sl3 box. But when I use a controller I do not have this problem It allows me to record the mix with no problem.
