Using these nymph baits to catch trout, very versatile, and multi species. You dont have to be an expert or know how to jig to catch with these baits. I’m using a Diawa Spinmatic 5’6” with a sienna 500 and a Phenix Elixir 7’ with a sienna 1000.

@@Crappie_Day Oh dang, maybe I'll see you for this next trout stock in sb lakes! Btw what line do you use? I see people using 2lb izorline smoke but I find it weird to get smoke when clear should be better?

Yeah i think we’ll run into each other. I run 2lb smoke and 2lb diawa samurai flourocarbon green. To be honest, i believe its more the presentation of the lure than the color of the line. I’ve used 4lb clear and still caught, but downsized to 2lb for smaller 1/80th oz lures.

Can you narrow down a bit more as to where in socal? Puddingstone is doing very well, but you have to go pretty soon because if the temp drops more, they wont want to bite. Fisherman’s retreat middle lake has some. If you’re further down closer to SD, lake hodges has really nice ones.

I think i need to develop a love for it like any other style of fishing. Bobber fishing kinda takes away from the “snatch” that fish do, and i love that feeling. Thanks Jesus 😃
