I like the dresses and flowing skirts back, gypsy style, it's very feminine....I think Monica Bellucci is a very attractive woman...real women have curves..
I would've never dream about Monica Bellucci and Jessica Jung on the same runway. It was such a nice surprise. The collection is awesome, loved all of it.
How absolutely wonderful to see real people walking down the runway! I could even see myself in there... Wonderful colours fabulous fabrics... classic to outrageous... this show has it all... I loved it...
The shows of Dolce & Gabbana are always stunning! Give them the oscar ! Carla Bruni (51), the actress Monica Bellucci (53), the always beautiful Eva Herzigova (45) and Marpessa Hennink (54), Isabella Rossellini (66) with all the family, her sons Roberto and Elettra, with the last born in her arms! HOLLYWOOD CAN'T DO BETTER! DNA!
IMO, the theme of this fashion show was a stroll through an Italian village on a feast day,...and showcases what you might see in an imaginary D&G Italian town. There are people of all shapes and sizes, all kinds of men, all kinds of women, young girls in festive dresses, business people in suits, couples strolling, pic-nickers, trendy costumes, a nod to traditional folk attire, and so much more. The magic was how it all merged together with subtle and not so subtle common threads. It made me happy to watch, like being transported to wondrous time-less world.
It is so sad to see so many of the comments here not get this, it is all about Italy, it's history, culture and the life of an average Italian citizen, seen as a fantasy through the eyes of these two great designers. People lack so much imagination nowadays...
Saludos.
@Das Bienchen everyone is allowed to eat..though not everyone has the resources...it's not the others fault why they have that kind of fortune..some is due the country of their origin..maybe so some did things to improve their lives and not be stucked into the ones they have been born with...i pity those who are less fortunate and tries to extend help whenever i can...though now im also strugling for my own future as a new graduate..but still tries to do so...however even if i help these less fortunate i couldnt help everyone..i can not do anything to improve their lives all i can do is to pray for them and give them what i can offer which is of course, couldnt accomodate all..
Absolute love this collection its amazing so vibrant . It is also refreshing to see using different models all shapes and sizes. After all we all are different in life
Monica Belluci and Carla Bruni; what a fantastic suprise!!!. Lovely, lovely music, model diversity, beautiful, happy clothes. One of the best shows of the season. Kudos to house.
💛 Her fashion style's more useful for most girls & young ladies, not too tall or fat, works hard in offices, and also travel, enjoy life. Her casual walk's more natrual, not like the performance way.
great job all sizes you don't have to be a size 0 good job a designer that can make all women feel beautiful and fit all sizes it doesn't matter about the size .
You know what, I thought it was exquisite and diverse and inspiring. Who cares about anything else, other designers should take note. 7/10 of the line up did a great job. All they needed was a few more models of different skin tones instead of a few outliers and then it would have been completely well rounded. Did you see the Versace line up? This so much better.
There is no question that the curves of a larger female model competes with the clothing more than a thin, typical runway model. The face & figure, of a person wearing clothing is always more important and interesting than the clothing, Fashion designers know this and have tended to use thin models to show/display their designs,
I think that an essential role of a fashion show is to display the clothing in a way that provokes the audience to feel something - and this is something D&G knows exactly how to do. The aesthetic if this show, the groundbreaking models, the beautiful shapes and patterns of the clothes, and the MUSIC is extraordinary; truly a breath of fresh air in comparison to the Gucci or Dior SS19 show, for example. Well done!
Those were days during the 70's/80's when fashion scene was so uplifting, fabulous, beautiful and wearable. Supermodels in the likes of Pat Cleveland, Iman, Jerry Hall, Sayoko, Annabella, Ines De La Fressange, Kartouche, Dalma etc., were gracing the catwalk with aplomb, glam and style. Times have certainly changed but the good memories of the best remains. In the 90's, fashion became less dramatic but my favorite Supermodels were Yasmeen Ghauri, Karen Mulder, Carla Bruni, Helena Christensen, Marpessa, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, Nadege etc.,.
