Best time to visit in our opinion is October first week. So the colors of the valley that we saw. You can still visit in August but be careful. Its monsoon season and Kinnaur is a landslide prone area. You can get stuck in landslide. 2. We will be a group of 4 people, can we take a hatchback till Kaza, i own Swift? Ans. Yes, till Kaza there will not be any problem. There are few patches of bad roads but you can drive on them. Kaza to Manali is really bad and you will need to drive really carefully. Even SUVs find it hard to cross without proper experiece. 3. How to book home stays, is there a way we can pre book our stay? Ans. You can book homestays by phone. You can find numbers by searching on Google. Also, some are available for online booking on MakeMyTrip or GoIbibo. 4. Availability of petrol pumps, do we need to carry extra fuel with us? Ans. You will need to carry extra petrol to be on safe side. There is a petrol pump in Tapri. After that you will only get in Kaza which is a really long distance. 5. I already had an experience of driving in hills, did Gangotri and Badrinath before, can we drive by our own or should we consider a driver? Ans. You can drive on your own I think. Just watch a lot of Spiti Videos online to get an idea of the route. And if you feel confident, you can go. 6. Last but not the least, can you share your complete itinerary so that i can plan accordingly? Ans.
