Shame on such type of politics of opposition, Redevelopment of Dharavi slum is very much important . World media trolls india to show this type of slums and called India a poor country .
It's unlikely to change, my friend. Politics and people's mindsets have taken a toll on this country. As an Australian who has traveled across India, I found that most cities are overwhelmed by slums, with the exception of Goa, Kerala, Punjab and, Karnataka (to some extent)
They talk about environment... but what about the environment in existing Dharavi? Have you seen Mithi river? These people are used to living in trash and some people brain wash them more into it. Getting a house in Mumbai itself is very difficult and this encroachers are getting free house in Mumbai yet they keep on finding complains. SHAMELESS.
@ayushc5704 Oh yeah The Mithi river starts at Vihar Lake-Powai Lake-Sakinaka-Kurla-Kalina-Vakola-BKC-Dharavi and end at Mahim (look at the River from BKC bridge for amount of pollution it receives before it enters dharavi so please stop blaming Dharvi for Mithi pollution and about Dharravi contribution to pollution just check no of establishment registered for recycling in Dharavi you'll be shocked by the numbers and one more thing just check the no of Engineers and Graduates passed from this slum past decade.
The so called Slum is one of the richest place in Mumbai. Annual Turnover Dharavi Mumbai, India, is estimated to be between $500 million and over $1 billion
Well democracy is too slow then, Some another politician will come and cancel all the projects just for votebank , then someone will start again ,then another will cancel again and cycle will just continue 😂😂🤡
World sees that highly educated and fairly ethical minded Indians as Incredible. It's the very selfish Indians just like some of the US corporates guided by the devil's advocate that ruin an emerging incredible India!
@@Arjunseervi483 If it take even 5 years people will already know what is happening and who is stopping our countries growth because of social media and 5g obviously it applies on bjp also if they do something wrong for a short term profit they don't deserve winning next election they are not stupid nor adani as a businessmen
Growth happens exponentially the things took 5 years in past will take 2 years now because india is focusing on infrastructure like highway and new policies and there will be solutions for the problems in this project it will take less time and money to make this project everything is dependent on each other the only problem is protests they will get what they deserve either affordable house in salt farming areas or hate from people because they are stopping growth for this country
@@nutz24h that's true .I have no problem for taking the credit if the project is completed. At Twitter I read an message that we should not let this project happen because modi will take credit of it .
What kind of thin logic these Opposition walle are giving... If people are running industry in SlumDwellings and that too without following any government regulation... Then they can also do the same business inside a low cost house with much better amenities... Also why did WION not talk to people in charge of drawing up the plan for redevelopment and Adani group to see what answers they have for these questions... This feels more like a hit piece rather than a serious analysis.
you're right at assuming that the people will thrive post-redevelopment but at the cost of culture. And add not having a master plan ready into the mix. This intself shows the neglect from the side of gov and biasness towards certain man who should not be named. so the solution to Dharavi problem is promotion of dharavi industries, providing cheaper loans for gradual redevelopment rather than de-root tactic.
@brewdie5574 Biasness can be seen in ur cmnt also. PappuChimpus perinial issues with successful Bharatiya Businessmen especially if they are pro-Sanatanis. First of all, Masterplan is being prepared... If they wanted details of DPR why didn't they they interview the people preparing the DPR... This was a one-sided hit piece to push a narrative against redevelopment.. Second of all, people living in Slums cos they have no other option is not "culture"... People who were living there will continue to live in that location with better quality of life, so there is no "de-rooting" happening here... Spaces will be provided for MSMEs and SMEs as well.
@@cgtim3230 thanks for pointing out biasness in my comment towards people who are forced live a life of neglect. Yes I'm biased towards them and I feel their pain but you won't understand it you're looking at the problem from 3rd view perspective but the ground reality differs from reality alot I've seen it. See delhi for example gov 'Jaha jhggi wahan makaan scheme is still a hope without practical application. This institutional discrimination can only be tackled through micro economic reforms at dharavi region rathar than 'de-rootifaction drive'. Even if this doc is helluva biased then u apply ur brains in severing the biasness out of positives and strive to understand the real object of the doc out of all the positives. You don't ignore it all together.
@@brewdie5574Don't do bak bak about these topics I am an actual Social worker who worked for years in such areas... In reality I was pointing out ur cmnt is biased against people who are forced to live in Slums... Ur cmnts is a typical example of a spoild middle-class person's ignoramous and nonsense opinion on deep topics he has no understanding of... A cmnt that is clearly a product of political bias than an actual understanding of topics at hand... Oh btw there is no "de-rooting" happening here, people are going to be given houses in Mumbai and u are one advocating for forcing people to live in Slums for another 100yrs cos u don't like BJP and Adani... And probably SanatnDharm
@cgtim3230 everything that don't conform to ur opinion will seem bak bak t u.... So dear 'social worker' I agree belong to class and stop assuming I don't know middle class problems than you. You might clearly have seen this but I had experienced this that time no social worker came fr my rescue so keep ur bulshit opinion up ur ass coz I'm not here to convince people like you. My bak bak ends here
The salt pans must be protected. Adani and state govt must come up with a plan that does not disrupt the fragile ecosystem in and around Mumbai. Adani's plans to create rental housing in salt pans is disgusting.
DOES UDDHAV THACKERAY LOVES SLUMS AND DOES HE WANT TO LIVE THERE ,IN THE SLUMS OR LIVE IN THE DUMPING GROUNDS NICE PLACE IT'S JUST LIKE DUBAI CITY HE COULD LIVE IN A 25 SQUARE FOOT HUT PERFECT !!!
No shifting on Salt pans or any other environment sensitive zone. Don’t want open spaces to be rented out to tenants or developed for the sake of development. You all ppl keep complaining and opposing so this project will never ever happen. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Once the slums will be vanished from Mumbai then this city will compete with big cities like new york, tokyo, london but these slums spoils the image of this city
India need a affordable housing ministry with affordable housing authorities throughout the nation. People will be stubborn but housing everyone in atleast some housing should be a priority
See the people residing in dharavi will always tell where will we go … I was born here , brought up here , die here…. If we keep listening to these talks… the messy, dirty, unhygienic, horrible environment will never change it will remain the same!! People who are not even from Dharavi will speak for against by 😂politicians bull shit people!! Well people u got to change come on redevelopment is needed badly!! People staying there will never for anything and any day…
Wion is owned by Adani. So I will skip this video. Regardless I believe Dharavi should be developed keeping in mind the people residing at Dharavi to be the biggest benefeceries. And Every transaction from a dime to a billion dollar regarding to this project should be righteous and justified.
If it bcomedmd slightly less dependent on politicians , how will they allow it.. Now if they need free bijli u call neta, tanker ke liye neta, who the hell will want to loose command over such sheep's by making them more independent..if they live like pigs and beg fr small things, and most importantly protection for their illegal encroachment whixh is encouraged by netas as more beggars more votes, and hahah more democracy saved..u will see 5 stories slums above gutters before 10 story buildings..they will not like that bcoz at 5ft floor of house u will not be able to encroach the ground..so parasites will not like to live in towers,as their main work of encroahment will be harmed..their whole lifestyle income will be that flat that they will get after encroaching and living there for some 10-15 yrs and as soon as they will get that most will move to new encroachment sites to encroach further.. otherwise if their main aim was earning they cld have shifted to vasai virara area where they wld have bought 1 bhk apartment is 10-15 lakhs..but no their main motive is waiting fr that gift that govt is about to give them
Bro this is 2024 people are already politicaly aware now because of social media and this project will take many years there will be more people who will keep watch on this country and now there's 5g if bjp don't satisfy these poor people they should forget about winning next election they are not stupid enough to gain profit for short time and then loss everything
A strong education including a strong innovative and business mindset leads to great success! The poor need to be directly re-skilled and invested to become the great washed and to embrace modernisation. Japan does this very well without showing so called loss of culture!
