Sirjee, i agree that their taste is super se bhi uper. The khaman and dhokla are to die for. Everything (even chutney) is made from scratch fresh and you can taste that on every bite. The laddu are so amazing that you cannot stop at one. Aunty has customized the taste as per Gurgaon crowd's feedback. I love their simple approach and visit them every other week. I hope they get more coverage as they are indeed the hidden gem of Gurgaon.

It is steamed and then tadka uspe daala jaata hai. While Dhokla is made of major rice flour, and daal. It can be yellow or white. It is steamed, then tadke mein daala jaata hai usko...

I have tried their dhokla , khaman , ladoo and thepla. Hands down authentic , home made and best quality ingredients are used. We always place order for office and home parties through Zomato. Also when I met them in person few months back, i found the same simplicity and genuineness that you have highlighted .. Thanks for sharing this hidden gem of Gurgaon.

It is a sorry state of affairs when people are crying over rates of 60-100 rupees for high quality healthy Indian cuisine but are happy to shell out 500 rupees for fast food and pizzas without a second thought
@Gautam Dave...yes, very true. And this is made of daal, rice flour, turmeric etc and it is steamed...a bit of oil, spices in tadka is needed for taste though..
You know paaji if any gujarati is staying there they will visit Dhokla House now.. Paaji sahi mein ghar jaisa laga puchiye kyun.. ghar pe mere aisa hi soft aur healthy banta hain and i can see it ke aunty ne sahi mein quality food rakha hain.. Thepla goes best with mirchi, achar, jaggery and elaichi waali mithi chaay.. Dhokla to nai thaa yellow waala par usko Khaman bolte hain sirf yahaan agar pure gujarati food kahe to.. gujarat ke bahar dhokla ho jaata hain.. :)

Yes, I like how there is no water to increase the weight. Most big name brands like Haldiram and Shyam Sweets add a lot of water just to increase the weight. But khaman me itna pani hota hi nhi kabhi
all those saying that the food is costly, then let me tell you that they are based in Gurugram city and everything is overpriced there and so is the salary of the people. It may seem more to us but it is normal for the people living there. So, please do not spam like they have high prices. They are also working for money and even the old uncle have lost his job too

We hv been here and tried this once. Dhokla is indeed bit spicy but taste is good. Though it's expensive as compared to leading chains such as bikanervala, haldiram etc.
I feel very much sad when I hear from someone “yellow and white dhokla”. Yellow one is called as Khaman which is made from chickpea flour and white one is called as dhokla which is made from rice or semolina.

Do try Baby Sweets, East Patel Nagar. Poori Chooley till 10 am, then Kachori and Sabzi till 4 pm and them the Samosa and Jalebi. Kabhi itne Samose ek saath banthe aur bolte nahi deke honge Also try A small outlet in Old Rajinder Nagar next to Chinese Corner. Samosa, Vada Pao, Pakode, Mirchi ke Pakode and many more. Bhagwati is the main cook there he makes excellent stuff. His works for us now. Sai Ram. Rather this boys has been living with my parents for 16 years. My parents got him admitted in a school. Used to teach him when he was a kid. And now he is a big boy 22 years. And he stays with us and works as domestic help. Do try his father's stuff. His father just works in that small outlet.
