In all of Bhansali's movies, there is always one song with such an explosion of colours, music and festivity, but neither Deepika nor Alia can hold a candle to Aishwarya in terms of that performance. The sheer enjoyment that you see in the eyes of the performers here is something that is lacking in both the newer actresses' dances, they're so mechanical and lacklustre.

The movie is adapted from a famous bengali novel Na Hanyate written by Maitrayee Devi based on her personal life and her first love affair with Mircea Eliade and it was written in response to Mircea's book La Nuit Bengali.. Amazing journey they had ❤

Ahhh that time when there wasn’t cuts every two seconds they held the shoots longer in the dance sequences even with actors who wasn’t great dancers. Now they have great dancers who can hold shoots for longer they cut it every two seconds. What difference it makes when they have longer shoots in dance sequences
