Don't worry about the tackiness, it's very sticky and it will show only after it gets cleaned and is completely dry. If you want to last and isn't just for this review, remember to use protective film when not in use. Also after every practice clean it with a drop of water and let it dry before you put the fiml on. Chinese rubbers in general last about 1 to 2 years if well maintained.

Thank you for your insight. I was thinking of building my finance a racket with this rubber (pink &violet) to encourage her to play even thou its not standard and just for private use, and I am concern if its gonna last long especially she is a beginner. If I boosted it will it also last long or reduce the life's rubber? Your insights would be greatly appreciated. Also any good rubbers that has this color (pink & violet) in different brand? Trying to have a more options. :)

Dear Tom. As always, you are an awesome person with your table tennis videos and I truly admire your ability to reflect on yourself if you test material out. With that out of the way, let me tell you a few things about this rubber. It's a toned down version of the hurricane 3 neo, that is very tacky and very strongly factory tuned in general. You are right, this rubber doesn't complement your playstyle at all, which is the classic european, short stroke, lesser hip motion style. That's ok, because you pointed it out several times. Especially your "topspin against backspin" style, shows that. I didn't see your right foot jumping from back to the front with additional hip rotation. This is how you have to do it with that rubber, just a little less, as with the hurricane 3 neo, due to the increased elasticity of the hurricane 9, giving it a more european tensor rubber feel. BUT, you seem to be totally accustomed to elastic rubbers like tenergy 05 or similar european/japanese boosted rubbers, which is totally fine. You really need to engage your whole body to release the inner monster of this rubber. Then you will see completely different results and also an overall improvement of your technique and physique aswell. The DHS Hurricane 9 is not a relaxing-doing-less-yourself-but-more-the-rubber-feel-good-thing. But it's more forgiving than the hurricane 3 neo, which is an absolute spin monster, if hit correctly. Just my fifty cents. Anyway: thanks for the review and keep up your nice videos😊

Amazing reviews, please keep them coming! Already one of the best YT TT equipment review channels, subbed immediately. Blade reviews would be amazing too!

You have a Very long FH stroke. Set you robot to have a longer delay so you can recover to a neutral position before each stroke. I enjoy your instructional videos.

hey you, new channel. you should start this channel with a series of reference rubbers, i.e. rubbers which have been internationally popular for maany years because of availability, low price, good quality, and high performance and durability. it doesn't have to be super old stuff like Friendship, Double Fish, Sriver, but it should include Mercury 2, and maybe even Ultra Spin T88. then you can go from there and build up your channel, good luck.

Very interesting channel, I wait for more videos. Maybe do a comparison on different type of blades for the same rubber, xiom rubbers, rakza rubber, cheap Chinese rubbers. I hope this channel grows!

Hi Tom, very interesting. My Dignics 09C are good but at £80 a pop too expensive to change as often as I'd like. Worth a try on my blade possibly.😊

I'm not sure whether this one would be right for you. When you come in May, I can give you a few different options to try. All lower than £80!

@@TableTennisEquipmentReviews Andro R45 or R48 for example. Absolutely phantastic, elastic rubbers, thab easily replace even Ten 05 rubbers.

Tibhar Hybrid MK3 shares a lot of similarities. Yasaka Rakza Z (/extra hard) is a tad slower but has much more control

Excellent vídeo. Would be nice If you could Review a Hurricane 3 National version.

I don't think, that he is the person to give it proper credit, since his style is absolutely european and not chinese. The DHS 3 national is made from the chinese, for the chinese style. It's hard as a brick, similar as heavy, and requires astonishing technique and physical work to show it's qualities.

Because it lacks speed?
@blueheart9873
@blueheart9873 8 месяцев назад
@@haehne Mostly, yes. It is spin sensitive and the topsheets feels soft which made blocking feel a little inconsistent. Maybe it is better in counter topspin

Blocking is average. I had to use more aggressive blocks to make sure the ball cleared the net and landed deep. I struggled with my more controlled blocks - a little too slow for shorter blocking motions.
