Why don't we stop nitpicking and enjoy a marvelous rendition by one of the greatest Germonts in history. Vocally there are others, especially younger baritones, with fresher voices, but for the role it's not necessary and nobody is more expressive or powerful. And yes, he's flat sometimes but so is Nucci sometimes and Milnes most of the time and nobody would dare to criticize them, and rightly so. Let's enjoy.
