Thank you so much for your help! I religiously listen to these videos over and over again, and here your voice in my head when I group study and take my exams THANK YOU!🙏🏽❤️
Another way I remember is to use the number of letters in the name: SIADH = lots of letters = lots of ADH = lots of water DI = less letters = less ADH = less water
Thank you so much for your videos. I also wanted to add, that I remember SIADH because you are "Soaked Inside" which helps me to remember the water retention :) and on the other hand, Diabetes Insipidus is "Dry Inside"
I also have been using your videos for all of my exams and I always do well! I always share them with my friends and add links to your videos in my study guides! This is the most helpful channel I have found :)) Thank you for making these wonderful videos!
Thank you so very much! Appreciate the kind words and glad you are finding value in our resources. Best of luck to you in your studies and nursing career!
I could cry from happiness rn. I wish I had found your cards and learning programs before I bought the one I have now. Don't get me wrong, the one I have is great but I feel like I click more with yours but I'm broke so I can't get another one lol. But these free videos helped me so so so much, I truly appreciate it😊
I do have a question for SIADH. When I look at other videos saying that when there is low osmolality and high Blood volume in blood, the ANP and BNP increases, which decreases the aldosterone and promote more sodium excretion as well as water, and they said no hypertension and edema, so u said that there is hypertension so Im confused whether which to follow, please clarify on this, thank you
Hi.. great video. We have a big final on the endocrine system in 2 weeks. I’ve watched a lot of awesome videos. The thing I love most about yours is...you take your time explaining your information..you don’t rush.you speak very well.you make it make sense. Thank you for making this video. 🙏🏽❤️
I just learned new info. I thought we only have hypernatremia with DI, and hyponatremia withSIADH. Can you please explain more on this. Thank you nurse Cathy for your time.
That’s correct! You have hypernatremia with DI because the blood is very concentrated. Remember: you are peeing out all that water! You have hyponatremia with SIADH because your blood is so diluted. Remember you are retaining too much water! I go into more detail about both conditions in this video!
Thank you . Most videos do not follow up what you say is coming up . Not Sure why? Sometimes it’s hard to find some topics . Any arrangement per topics will do us good . Great job! God bless you
The subtitle is not correct at 8:48 and 8:54. It should have been hyponatremia instead of hypernatremia. It may cause misunderstanding for students. Kindly please change it. Thanks for all the information and the video.
in the end your captions are off...hyponatremia can result in seizures, the caption reads as hypernatremia but you say hypo..just fyi for anyone following
Testing in 10 days and you are saving me after not being in school for 2 years. You are giving me hope. Thank you for being so thorough and explaining things to the point so simply. You have a gift!!! ❤❤
