Summary: 1) Max your fire traps, a single point into claw mastery and a couple into burst of speed. 2) Leaf and stealth runewords are helpful early on 3) You are literally invincible until like mid nightmare, so just chill
There was so much more info, e.g. - Buy a staff with teleport charges, ideally before you reach lvl 25. - Look for items with: fire, lightening, cold resistances. + to life. increased attack speed (look up breakpoints). - to compare items, transfer their effect to life (e.g. useful points of +strength can save you hardpoints to vitality, thus giving the vitality equivalent of life) - faster run walk, faster hit recovery are also great (look up breakpoints)

Anytime I’m taking my time to build a char and go to make a runeword I look for a “superior”socketed item, the extras given to it still add to the rune word. For example you made your Ancients Pledge on your Superior Large Shield that had 11%Enhanced Defense, AP gives 50% so your new runeword has 61%. That’s just an example, you can find superior items like scepters or staffs that give to skills and then boom! That’s added to your new runeword.
I love these guided playthroughs! I wish there were people like you doing this for PoE. Even Ziz's Play together's are hard to follow and he doesn't explain everything nice and simply like you do!

Watching an experienced Diablo 2 player is wild man I look away for 5 mins and he went from simply trowing around bombs to running around at the speed of sound while dropping traps all over the place
Never got into D2 as much as i wanted but i always tought wake of fire looked great ! Thank you so much for putting the time to go over the basics , now i really am hooked and all the things that detered me from the game at first are just a distant memory !!

I was playing a Shadow Warrior build of my own noob design all the way to 54. My Shadow Disciplines build was honestly trash and I didn't realize it until I tried out your leveling guide and turns out I've been playing the game at a snail's pace trying to min max equipment, when I could've just gone trapsin for leveling and breeze through the game at lightning speed.
Thank you for the guide I was able to sail through the all acts and only died 3 times during my fight with baal once when to his 5th wave of minions due to me getting stuck because of a bug and two times to baal once because I was out of town portal scrolls and once me getting zoned out during the battle and forgetting what I was supposed to do besides that it was a amazing experience and enjoyed everything including the dying again thank you mr. Llama.

I could never play like this...my completionist nature won't allow it. I have to do every quest, clear every dungeon and fill out as much of every map as possible. Naturally this makes my runs take days instead of hours but honestly I've tried doing this and missing so much on things drove me crazy (even though I lose my maps when I change difficulties it still bugs me.) This is actually impressive to me.
Hey I know I'm late to the party on this, just now making an assassin and I'm following along while watching this guide. Just wondering why MrLlamaSC didn't do the Radament quest in Act II? Isn't he now missing a skill point on this character?
I am playing an assassin (just defeated normal on lv 35) I am running claw mastery 17 points, 7 on burst of speed, 7 on block, one on poison daggers and on eon each mind abilities... I got in to nightmare and I don't do damage any more 😅 but I really want it to work out because i had a lot of fun with the double clauws build, any suggestions? I was thinking in using poison dagers and dagger shield
The game is great, but I have no idea how he hasn't lost his mind playing the game to death for so long. Hopefully Resurrected turns out to be quality, and gets post launch support. It needs it. It deserves it.

see my playthrough take exponentially longer than MrLlamaSC's because I'm what you might call a 'completionist' Dungeons, Quests, Random Fields and Zones...I clear them as much as humanly possible. In the time it takes him to get past Andariel, I'm probably just finishing up Cold Plains (roughly.) I just use this for amusement and to see WAY in advance what sort of build I'll want. Also your comment about the Lower Res wand. An earlier level than Akara Nightmare...THAT depends on what level you are by then. When I kill Baal I'm usually well past 31.

You never do Radament's Lair. I know it's not really needed but I always do it for the Skill Tome he drops. Cheaper stuff in Lut Gholein is also a nice perk.
This is actually quite funny. You don't pick up gold, you leave items that you could pick up to sell. Even after you have saved cain you still use a scroll to I.D an item and you don't use the F keys. At 35:24 into this video that is.
Yeah he rebound f keys to different stuff and he is a speed runner so the whole picking up stuff aspect to the game often costs mor time than it is worth
I don't know if you ever respond to questions, Llama, but I'm wondering, out of all the guides you've made so far, which character would you say is the easiest for a new player to play? That is, requiring little or no real use of tactics or coordination or anything more complicated than clicking the right/left mouse buttons and using healing and mana potions, that you can use on up to Hell difficulty?

intuitively you would think that arcane 2-3 run is most likely. but using statistics, you have an equal chance of hitting a 1st way, a 2nd way, a 3rd way or a 4th way.
