Thus concludes the current standing of Diablo. This was a long, and painstaking project, and ya nailed it home with a HUGE flourish. Well done, my friend. Well done.
All these important people and angels and probably demons too have a lot of satchels to lose. Must be a great industry in this world to make and sell new satchels.
Listening to this series was great. This guy turned the most mundane of activities (for a vodeogame) into epic moments. Thank you for the videos. It would be awesome if you would combine your other videos in a similar fashion.
Malthael is an idiot. Even if he succeeds in destroying mankind, evil and especially Diablo will always find a way to return. That's why it's called the Eternal Conflict.
That opening cutscene is so damn badass and it always sends shivers down my spine.. this was amazing series and I can't even imagine the amount if work and hours that went in to this so thank you!!!
@@DarkLOREDash Thank you. After having freaking withdrawal symptoms between dev updates when this game was announced, all my anticipation was fizzled out either late during development or on release and I never looked back. Your work reminded me that D3 actually has story (lol) and allowed me to muster through it.
Damn brother your thorough and frankly transformative retelling of the plots of all three games has been an absolute treat to listen to. Thank you for getting me all caught up before D4 ❤️🔥
I would love to see you do this type of series for Elder Scrolls. Like the dark brotherhood in Skyrim. You have such a talent for these kind of descriptive videos that make people sucked in. Thank you for this series and we can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!
@@DarkLOREDash I love the one you did for Hackdirt. So Oblivion would be super cool as well. I love both games and think it would work wonderful with both of them.
Just finished marathoning your Diablo videos. Great work, my friend. I look forward to your future disturbing story of Lilith and Diablo’s miraculous return from whatever her plan is.
You know. I'm going through Diablo's story with you once again, sir. I was struck to find out when paying serious attention to our Paladin here. He sounded rather familiar. Voiced by one Gideon Emery. The voice of Balthier from FFXII. Wonderful voice actor. Between his witty quips and your fantastic narration, I'm having so much fun on this ride through 3 again with you. Cheers mate.
Love your lore videos and often have them running in the background. I even took the sound audio files to have some sort of lore podcast to listen to when I am away :) Have you ever thought about delving into other ARPGs like Path of Exile or, even better, Grim Dawn? There is a lot of dark lore to sink one's teeth into.
Finished this in time to have better context going into 4's server slam this weekend! Thanks so much for your fantastic work on retelling Diablo's storyline so thoroughly, it's so helpful to a newbie to the series like me.
Thank you so much! I love these games, but honestly can't play them well at all, so it's good to see the games and get the story even though I can't play.
I think it would be rather interesting if Tyrael’s last words were foreshadowing for Diablo 4. That the new heroes would have to fight the almost godlike power of the nephalem heroes as well as the prime evils being released
@@DarkLOREDash If they do, I hope it’s a battle to end him once and for all. That arrogant prick has been nothing but a burden! It was his hubris that allowed Diablo to return as the Prime Evil in the first place!
I honestly believe after everything we’ve seen in this franchise, this should have been the final game, I love the unknown optional last note they leave you on of what if your god-like self will become the ultimate force for good, or an evil more powerful that Diablo himself.
Diablo should have had another expansion i remember getting back into the game after this dropped and then i quit again, i would've played more if there was more to the story
Great work! I am so fond of the words you describe the story and the way you observe the marvellous world in this game! My english is not good, but these video are very attractive to me and i learned a lot through watching the whole story of Diablo 3! Thank you very much!
I just want to let you know that currently I’m grappling with Covid and you’re a series has provided me an escape from the torture I am enduring. The way you tell the stories of these games really is nice, especially on the addled body. Thank you.
my personal theory is that the Nephelim of this game could if he so chose to could become an angel of faith seeing as his power is most undoubtedly faith made manifest.
Although I loved dialbo 3 the horrid auction house and Blizzards growing...problems kind of resulted in me never playing through Reaper of souls. Feel like I get to experience it abit in this manner regardless :) thanks for the great video!
I have really enjoyed all of the Diablo videos that you have done and I had never played it before watching lol. You should definitely think about doing audio books or writing your own very good work!
What the actual FUCK? I completely stopped getting notifications so i missed ALL OF THIS?! I'm so made I'm gonna watch this then the individual chapters to make up for it
This crusader's canon kinda says why Crusaders didn't show up for D4. (Yet?) At least, in Sanctuary, they had no apprentice. Could be in another part of this world. It has been decades after all.
Been waiting this video for 2 months thanks to your hard work i was able to discover diablo 3 without playing it well it still need to give it a try but hope you do the same once diablo 4 comes out
36:22 What's going on with the sound levels. Dialogue keeps getting louder then quieter at random. That "I noticed" made me jump lol. Overall the NPC dialogue is far louder than your commentary, makes for a somewhat uncomforable late night watch, as I have to constantly turn it up and down.
Ironic how Malthael was the arc angel of wisdom yet went full on retard, the writers used him to literally undermined everything that happened on the main campaign, which makes Leah's death even more tragic and pointless if you think about it.
Great work. You give this game a bit of the darkness and grittiness back it should have had, when, at least to me, it left left the grounded realistic artstyle and replaced it with a cartoonish and flashy geometry and skin. I am often more reminded of Torchlight, which is deliberately cartoonish in visuals, yet stays serious throughout in most of its content. Diablo3 did not seem to take itself serious, and that is one of many parts that broke it for me - aside from the rather flimsy and to my jaded tastes, uninspired writing. Maybe I am also tired of the hamfisted and sloppy WoW-like quest-design were every NPC pops up around every corner to explain what's on the screen, holding your hand to the point of having a health shrine at the final battle - or did I see that wrong? Some things even seemed contradictory, but that may also be my current headache. Either way, you made it more engaging than the game is on its own. Since there's not much more new Diablo-content in the near future, maybe you want to check if the same can be done with Torchlight; at least 2 has a lot of content to go over, and those were made by the original Diablo-developers after all. 3 is just some chinese copy through acquired license, with exceptionally bad scores; thus I didn't even bother to look at it; I don't expect a hidden gem there.
- Diablo 1: Butchers and Cows (9/10 - Amazing) - Diablo 2 : Lord of Destruction (11/10 - Perfection) - Diablo 3 : Comedy in Plotholes (1/10 - lol?) Like okay... The big primordial guy Anu excised his evil side in the form of the dragon Tathomet and they battled and screwed around until they were both dead ("The Bestest Decisions Evah - ep.1: In The Beginning There Were Idiots") and from their body parts demons and angels spawned. In other words both demons and angels are pure in this universe. Hell is incorruptible and consistent as should be: bad demons doing bad to others and themselves ; self-defeating nature of evil and what not. ("The Bestest Decisions Evah - ep.2: Let's Bicker While The Enemy Watches") Why is heaven so corruptible and inconsistent?! : - Anarius beds demons ("The Bestest Decisions Evah - ep.3: Californication") - Empirius being a general pain in the a*s ("The Bestest Decisions Evah - ep.4: Anger Management Issues") - Isual betraying the heavens and turning into a demon ("The Bestest Decisions Evah - ep.5: Bad Cop - Bad Cop") - Tyrael being gullible, childish and petty ("The Bestest Decisions Evah - ep.5: You're Not My Dad") - Malthael stealing an evil artifact and turning into a useless aspect of death ("The Bestest Decisions Evah - ep.6: Wising-up")
I liked ( not loved ) the story . But I am appalled that that didn't show what happened to the souls of Leah and Albrecht and Aiden . What happened to the victims of diablo ? It doesn't make any sense
diablo 1: concurring evil diablo 2: the return of evil diablo 3: resurrection of evil diablo 4: female evil can we please choose a different final boss this time? diablo 46: evil, again
The game is literally called diablo and there's only three big factions the angel=good demons=evil and humans/nephalem=neutral and there's only a handful of them that have switched sides that have been put down already
@Kyle Fitzhenry then what do you classify them as because the only ones to actually do evil was inarius who Lilith used and corrupted under the pretense of loving him then you have maltheal who went completely insane from his fear of the nephalem and imperius who is a complete jerk but still trying to do right just to hot headed to reason with all the other angels are still on the side of good and order and if you really want to get into the lore the God of the diablo universe literally split himself apart from all the evil in him and the angels spawned from his corpse as the demons spawned from the corpse of his counter part
@@shdwfxgamerz7667 They're more Order and Chaos than Good and Evil, the Angels will literally send hoards of humans to their death promising them heaven when they know it's not possible if Angels think their plan brings Order they will do that even if it's immoral
Its great! very complex lore. Was fortunate enough to play elden ring early: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-euDv659LsKY.html lemme know what you think 😄
