All the offers are blocking slots, so you dont want to have many different events. You want to pimp Hellborne and if you dont get top tier offers, then simply pick something that doesnt cause a new event, because this will take away the chance of Hellborne or any other good event. Never pick Butcher, because there wont spawn any other events, while he is alive! And the 25 Aether reward is not big, considering you miss Aether from Hellborne for example.
Great add! I really totally agree on the the butcher I don't know if the 25 is worth it. If I could spawn early and have him show up every round for 25 each that would be awesome. I didn't know it froze events that's a weird design. 👍👍Pls thumbs up👍 the comment above so more people get this tip, ty!👍👍
I also found that at the high levels the Aether Lords suck up the events too - they take longer to kill (at least for my sorc) and the other events dried up
Something I noted... at L70 I could do Tier 2 without getting damaged. Tier 3 is a HUGE jump to L 100 mobs, and I got one shot. So just a note for guys not L100 yet.
@@OwnModeGaming The question is what do you do if you get stuck in a tier? If you have all your gear Masterworked to 2nd crit by farming tier 5, and you still can't do Tier 7 for the next level of Masterworking mats what do you do?"
@@Lievyon What build are you running? If you haven't already... hunt down the uniques that you need, level glyphs to 21, ensure you have optimal affixes and GA, and max out your gems. Once you send me what your building and confirm if you have done the things above. I'll dig in and see if i can find anything else.
@@Lievyon You need more orientation und comparission to Top tier builds. Blasting infernal hordes means, that you actually understand where your power is coming from and power is the sum of everything.
When playing with a team, you can have one person just run from spire to spire and stand there. All kills that happen when someone is standing in the circle will count towards the spire. Spires solo is suboptimal though.
Everything before tier 7 is wishful thinking to get significant number of masterworking mats, especially neithiron. And the gist is you really gotta be geared up to clear tier 7, so it's a catch 22. You need masterworking to gear up in order to clear tier 7, but that's where you get the majority of the mats you need to get to masterworking...
i was able to run t5 with no masterworking which was then able to get everything to 8/12 MW once i was 8/12 I was able to run t7 which then finished my MW with those mats. it really isn't how you make it seem
@@PhilLashio-xd8dy sounds like someone copies min maxed builds someone else had fun figuring out, and is telling people equivalent alternatives arent working or like working and the copy/paste "skill" of yours is dev accident. Truly informative video. However, for future videos please have timestamps. It just makes its so we know if this video has anything we actually want/need to know. Having to watch a whole video wondering if there is another personally useful in it is painful. I know algorithm wise its good for you if we watch for at least 10 minutes but we are far more likely to like and subscribe to a video that makes things informative as well as convenient.
I just tested that to see if the option that says it will rain down hellborne was a choice to hunt. I was pretty cool. I didn't know it was killing the mobs. That's interesting.
The hell fire option that gives 1-3 at the end has an upgrade into hell fire spawns hellborne. Really good if you have got a nice hellborne run already.
they don't give glyphs themselves either (+ no experience) - also you don't get much in the way of some raw materials (specifically raw hide - although you can break down armor you get to help with that ).... i spent a bunch of raw hide on "leveling cache" from the alchemist without realizing how strapped i would be i found hellborne are tbe best to go for - they can get +1 a couple of time +1 additional and also invigorate... i had one round (tier 6 i think) where i had 700+ aether at the end
It would be really nice if you could summerise what you are going to talk about at the start. I found myself skipping through a lot through out the video the find the information that i need.
I play a lightning spear Sorcerer. And with the spires I have got kills with them with only me in the Circle. I think you yourself need to be in the circle and it counts. That how I have been clearing spires. Idk maybe it's a bug though
If you summon Lords or Butcher...it stops the monsters from summoning till you kill them so they are actuuqlly a bad choice aether wise...you want hellborne and faster event spawn...movement speed doesn't hurt you either if you have nothing better to choose from
I would definitely back off those. I also tested the fire raining down and then having it spawn hellborn that was pretty solid but you gotta get the upgrade early to make it payoff.
Aether lords are never worth it, they don’t summon any additional units while they are alive, they can be quite tanky and if it takes you a while it’s definitely not worth it
If you keep getting stronger, they eventually just disappear, but at first they are really tanky. I leveled another character yesterday and started the hordes way earlier and I skipped them a lot.
I don't think it's a matter of sucking, it's mostly about the build. Fireball Sorc was a lot harder to push than lightning spear. What build are you running and what, if any, mythic gear are you using?
@@OwnModeGaming I have lightning spear and i've been messing around with rerolling stats and I just can't get something that can do t7. I get pretty close but later waves and the boss i just can't finish. I think i've spent 6 hours today without being able to complete a horde at all. I could do a 6 but i've been blitzing through 6's and grifts 80-100. I'm sick to my stomach so im going to take a nap and try it again in a bit
I think aether lords are way to overtuned to be a good pick. On lvl 7 they have like 10x the life of tormented uber bosses. I kill lvl 200 andariel in seconds but i need like a solid minute to kill certain aether lords. And while lords are around way less normal monsters spawn. So they basically block out other events.
Great content man, anways my go to video! Will they drop summoning materials? Seems like the season journey rewards has fewer summoning materials than last season. Been playing on helltides so i can save up to target uniques.. keep the videos coming!
Thank you so much! I'm not sure on the mats if it does it's not a ton. I noticed the fewer mats, too. It's like a third of the mats we had last season.
Im unlucky or something but it def doesnt choose the things i pick. I had 4/7 and had all hellborn things and i got 0 hellelborn til my 7th wave was super sad and happened multiple times i would get close to no hellborn. But i also hasld hellborn stack and got like 800 by the end.
A bunch of people have said that, but I'm still doubtful. I have all range builds right now with crazy clear and range and if the monsters aren't right up on the circle these seem to take forever, well compared to every other event. The masses, elites and hellborn go down from half way across the map, instantly.
I’m playing around with hydra and I drop them outside the circle and kill things that are never near and it pops the circle just fine. Later waves is only when something is with me in the circle. Yes, it works, you do not at all have to wait :).
I've gotten solid uniques and a number of triple greater affixes. That being said, one thing i love about this mode is you get to choose the rewards you want.
The build is landslide druid and the lightning is coming for "lightning storm" and being triggered by the key passive "Nature's Fury" It clears so fast.
your wrong on the soulspires, u dont have to wait for monsters to walk inside u just have to be inside when u kill monsters, u can kill monsters outside the circle while ur in the circle and it will still work
LOL No they dont, says who you? i have gotten all Soulspire buffs, i gotten lucky 1 game where i got Soulspire give more 3 times in a row, and then i got the X2 and 50% more events, and i got 350 shards in one run and got shit ton of loot? did you even test soulspire or you just say they trash because u dont like them?
I'm not sure about the new items, but most likely. The Hordes is definitely in the eternal realm. You should be able to just use your existing characters.
I was just wondering the same. I seem to get a lot of affixes in the regular chest. I really don't know. I'll test it today and just open 3 regular chests after I open the big one and see.
@@OwnModeGaming From the few I did it didnt look like it was worth it. Thats why I wanted to ask. you would think since its a one time buy it would be better but that doesnt feel true.
@@yerpyerp So, I tested open 3 of the small and the ga every round. GA is worth it as eventually you want all GA if you can and it definitely delivers more.
I swear if they nerf this and say f u to player bases time again I am done with this game for gd. It's like being in an abusive relationship at this point and I'm no simp. Staff of 12,000 clowns
They do seem way too heavy handed with the nerfs. They keep getting better but there is often a feeling that someone, with a lot of sway, is set on nerfing.
I saw those. It's a light bump. It's a boost to the elite options, which is cool, and the burning rain. I curious to see if it makes a big difference. I would like to see a bump to the spires and the Lords in the later tiers, they get rough.
Why is it that so many people are complaining about harder tiers being too hard or too slow. Does nobody want a challenge anymore. If nothing is challenging in this game, what’s the fun in playing it?
It's pretty simple, everybody is allowed to enjoy what they enjoy. You enjoy challenge and nobody gets to take that from you. Some like the grind, others like to feel accomplished, some like to theory craft, others like to play with friends, some like to top leaderboards, etc...
S5 feels a bit like PTR level quality IMO. A year in and still have Rod making terrible decisions. Added group content and did nothing to support players with any social tools. Embarrassing really in 2024.
I still think its way better than the PTR. I hated playing it so much and this I really enjoy. I do totally agree on the social tools... No managed trade system and no group finder for main endgame features.
No competition is why d4 is boring . Give us easily accessible leader boards in the game for pits and hoards so we are motivated to beat our friends and the world . I do not understand why the things that made d2 and d3 great are ignored by d4 devs. World leader boards push people to keep playing indefinitely. Is everyone at blizzard high on pcp or something. This is simple stuff .
I'm not sure. There does seem to be a trend of not respecting what came before in games. I think that the dev team is listening better than they ever have and really working to get what the players want into the game. I'm pretty sure that rankings will be a thing, but when i have no idea when that will be.
What makes D4 boring for me is zero attachment to my character, just like D3 and the opposite of D2. I wish they would do something more with eternal realm , I don't know exactly what but some incentives for playing there after the seasonal stuff is over instead of just deleting them, or maybe either 4 or 6 months seasons with slightly slower progression and more actual character building. I know this will never happen though because they obviously don't want people playing eternal, they want everyone on seasonal getting battlepasses and ridiculously overpriced cosmetics. Hell they would cut the seasons in half if they knew they could develop them fast enough and that the customers would accept it because they could double up on all the suckers and have better quarterly numbers. 🙄
Isn't it obvious, they are drip feeding all the good stuff over time just like we aren't getting mercenaries till next season. we will eventually get leaderboards as a gimmick for people to return
I’m not interested in leader boards. I don’t care if I’m better or worse than others. I just like playing the game my way and pushing as far as I’m able.
Is anyone else finding these repetitive and boring? Sure the rewards are great but the whole season seems to be the addition of 2 rooms, I'm just getting tired of it fairly quickly.
They want you to grind they aren’t going to put anything in the game that isn’t repetitive. That’s not really a problem as long as we have lots of choices for other things to do that give equally good rewards. The pit is basically just another nightmare dungeon but people were really tired of those so they gave us another way to do them. Helltides is basically just over world but it’s a zone with much better enemy density. They are giving us more of the same but atleast they are trying. I’d say we still need another 3 or 4 seasons before the game really opens up with plenty to do. Somewhere I heard they initially planned to work on the base game until summer of 2024 so they admit it was released a year too early. It may have actually been released almost 2 years early you probably don’t want to hear this but give it a couple more seasons the game will only get better.
I was thinking about that but i had times where i wasn t in the circle but close to it and kill some mobs inside the circle and they were counted for the 30
I'm not sure. My rogue and druid have crazy range and the spires don't clear quickly unless the mob has followed me into the circle. I'll check it again. That would be a much better design.
@@OwnModeGaming They don't need to be in the circle. As long as you're standing inside of it, anything you kill in any location counts. However if they're standing inside the circle, I suspect it may count 'twice' because both you and the targets are both inside. That last part is pure speculation on my part, but it would explain the extra speed when everyone's inside the circle.
Yah, anything that is per kill instead of per wave or a one time offer is good. After that, aether per single (council, start or end of wave, butcher) is ok. Spires and rain fire are just not worth it. But even the hell rain is better than spires. I do notice that the spire "stay in" only happens at start of wave. After that, any kills from a distance will take them out iirc. Everything else is spot on. Invigorating hellborne is great just before the end but won't get you aether although like the move speed, it breaks even. For survive, the "spire tethering" one is an option. BTW, GA crit chance and damage on gloves/rings seems pretty difficult. Maybe it's just weighted. I have a lot of the other damage types by comparison
Got to tier 4 and have a few infernal horde tokens to use , what minimum level for tier 4 should you be at? I’m a barrage rouge at level 71 with 9k health, 12k attack. Should I wait till I’m level 80 to try it?
It's less a level think and more a power thing. Best indicator I have come up with is if you can do a nightmare dungeon of sigil level 50, you should be good.
It is commonly dropped in the Infernal Hordes's rewards chest. Just complete the hordes and open as many equipment chests as you can at the end of the run.
@OwnModeGaming LOL DEFINITELY opening Mat chest multiple times at the end. Just cleared a level 87 pit easily for another neath drop. Have all my gear at level 9 and heading back into level 7 IH to see if things cleared up for me. Would definitely say a bugged scenario. IF I uninstall/reinstall on the XBox at local level, will the Blizzard server still be carrying my present advancement in "the cloud" and perhaps fix my situation OR would I lose it all?? SHOULD be safe trying that IF it's a "local to my download"??
So, I'm super casual here. I mean, I haven't even hit lvl 100 on any characters yet (the highest I ever got was last season and that was a lvl 89 necro) and I've never gotten to The Pit or even went "hunting" for specific items. I've currently got 3 characters I'm playing with, a sorc, a necro and a druid. My necro is 82 right now but the others 2 are only in the low 50s. I've only just started doing tier 2 infernal hordes (and the jump to tier 2 wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, unless some how I'm OP with my busted not legit build on my necro there lol). Other than looking at build guides (which still freak me out, and I don't know why they do, maybe because some of them require specific items? and I'm worried about that) am I just continuing to do runs until I hit 100? And when should I go to tier 3 or even the tier 2's that I have that are lvl 100 enemies. Also, in the video, the sorc was using some sort of fireball or explosion thingy, and I see that everywhere - am I missing what skill that is that works with a specific affix/aspect?
You can just keep running the tier 2 until it is way too easy and you can take all the hard options and have no issues with the bosses. If you are playing softcore, then you can just jump up to the next tier and see how it feels. If hardcore or want to be more cautious, you can test if your ready by scaling Nightmare dungeons until you are able to do Monster Level 10 levels higher than the monsters you will face in the Infernal Hordes (that level is listed on the compasses) and then on your early runs just take the survival choice in the video. The fireball Sorc really takes off when you get 2 uniques, Staff of Endless Rage and the Illuminators Gloves. You hunt those down by bossing. I would grind varshan and grigiore.
@@OwnModeGaming Yeah that's what I mean. I've never gone 'bossing" before. I mean obviously I can just google where those bosses are, but I'm just not that into that kind of game play is the best way I can explain it. Plus, I'm nearly 50 (age wise to be clear), which might affect how I assess ways of doing things lol Oh, and I'm definitely softcore lol I did hardcore once in Path of Exile, never again :D
@@LordLOC Makes sense. I would consider it those uniques are a lot of fun and they have a good drop rate. That being said always play how you enjoy to. Have a great one!
Very helpful video. Thank you so much. I have been enjoying the new seasonal content and feel like they have really improved gameplay all around. I just didn't understand the new stuff very well. Now I feel I will do much better.
It opens up in world tier 3 and as long as you keep following the seasonal questline, then one of the quest will award you with a compass to summon the Infernal Hordes just like sigils for Nightmare Dungeons.
Yeah during the season campaign there is 3 of the dungeons, one with spires, one with masses and one with hatching sack. They just introduce you to the basic events so you know what to do in the horde mode. They are basically a tutorial diguised as a campaign. Then each has a boss at the end, which are the 2 bosses after final wave.
This is so busted. I've been crushing Hordes with my friends getting so much materials. I almost only ever open materials chests. From what I hear that's the most important of all the chests (even though the others look tempting)... And the advice was good. I can temper, masterwork, make royal gems, elixirs and incense.... And never have to worry about having enough lol.
Absolutely! It is crazy how much better the rewards are over everything else. I really hope they boost everything else rather than lower the rewards in the hordes.
@@OwnModeGamingI think they know if they nerf the horde rewards mid season it will absolutely NOT go very well for them. I do however look for a nerf when VoH drops, 1 mode that completely trivializes everything else in the game is a really bad look and I know people are gonna say buf everything else but I don't know that that's the answer, this game is already super fast with very little real sense of progression or character attachment.
@@pablopervguy4355Yeah, those are the Helltides. If it isn't dropping then make sure you are in world tier 3+ and have completed the quest to get your first compass. If you are playing the season questline, just keep following that and you'll get it. Know at some point the quest icons change to the white quest icon, so make sure you complete all those. Let me know if that helped.
