Even though it is efficient to just live in the hell tides for leveling, it's better to do just go do w/e you want; because it gets boring fast. This isn't a job, you don't have to be efficient; so, have fun and enjoy the game. Also if you're leveling with Sorcerer, chain lightning does very well. I found it to be better than a fire build. Regardless of what you chose, you will have mana issues early on; but putting resource regen, or cost reduction on your rings and amulet helps. Umbral helps as well if your build CC's a lot. Edit: For money, I've been selling yellow items. That seems to get me enough gold to do what I need between getting Tree of Wispers caches. I'm not sure if this is still viable for post level 100 when you need 10's of millions of gold.
This was one of the better video's out there, i just restarted playing, i quit mid season 2 because it started to be a drag how thing where.. But this season i'm really enjoying myself how fast i level and how the build pathing is up to you and not just by luck on the gear! That being said this video did bring me back up to date with everything that i needed to know, atm lvl 58, Thanks for all the information!
I remember you from The Division and its sequel, nice to see you branch out into games like D4 and make guides out here for that too. Keep up the nice work, brother :)
Hi Nick, thank you for all the valuable information. I have a question. This is my first time playing the game, I’m playing as a sorcerer and the main skills I use are Hydra and Meteorite. Should I temper my gear with just raw damage or fire damage? What would be best? Thank you
Newbie here.. does tempering choice go away once I temper it? (E.g if I use natural finesse, I have to pickup recipe drop again to temper natural finesse to other equipment that hasnt tempered)
Ah, the tempering system. At first you are like "I can roll more dmg woo!". But then it's the endgame and you simply brick most of the decent weapons you manage to find. "Oh looks like this is stuck as another Blizzard size wand. I sure have 5 of those and none of what my build needed."
I learned this the hard way when I got an upgrade that I was so excited about that I salvaged my main weapon, and then after I affixed it with a worthless stat I suddenly wanted to go back to my old weapon. Now I affix first, lol.
lol that’s kinda the point. It should be difficult to get the perfect weapon for a specific build. It wouldn’t be rewarding if we got 925 perfect rolls at level 20 and then blast through all Content.
@@erain75that’s statistics. If you flip a coin ten times, it’s not always going to be 5 & 5. Over a long period of time, the law of averages will balance close to even. Sometimes I get the roll I want on the first temper. Sometimes I brick the gear.
Just hit level 50 doing helltides and season quest. When should I start doing dungeons? Or just helltide it out to 70? I’m playing on WT3 but dying a lot as a necro
Ok, so this is clearly not a beginner friendly guide so I have a question. I just picked the game up (I am level 30), so I'm assuming the best way to level up is to just do the campaign? Or does the helltide stuff also apply to people like me?
Me and my idiot friends beat the level 70 capstone dungeon for torment before even hitting level 60 because we were stubborn and wanted to try it then got close and refused to give up till we beat ut
On your first character, I recommend doing the whole campaign, do all lilith statues and get your reputation. Just enjoy the game :) If you are not seasonal, yes play seasonal!
I wouldn’t worry and get fomo. Consider this season a reset for all future seasons and embrace the game as a whole. You can make a seasonal character and it’ll just transfer to the eternal realm after it ends. The campaign is decent and definitely worth a play through.
I just quit this season. They just put lipstick on a pig. Took the extra affixes off and force you to roll for them instead of just keeping them on. Now you spend more time in town and you get to brick the item yourself instead of it just rolling the useless affixes. And that’s not even figuring in the other rng you have to fight getting GA’s you need or having to enchant an affix yourself. It’s just not fun imo.
Not really. Early on you might use them but once I hit WT3 I just sell all of them for gold. Legendaries have more and better affixes on them (2 vs 3). I have all 925 gear from NM, Helltides, and WB and I'm barely 80.
Imo never ever craft elixirs....they consume your gem fragments. And that's bad as they drop like shite. Check the elixir first and craft ones that do not use gems you need.
People don’t like it but whispers is the best way for hold by far!! And what people need to learn is how to do them while doing helltides double dipping. Or just do two quick dungeons speed run them and get 10 whispers in less than 10 mins
