Yup happened to me with my barb last night found an amazing 2h hammer i needed 2GA and went to temper it got the same useless affix 4 times in a row smh tempering in this game is garbage. Im not even gonna bother with it anymore.
i don't mind the randomness...what i do mind is that it hits the EXACT SAME value and affix 3 times in a row...constantly...i think the fix is that the system should not be allowed to reroll the same stat or can only roll higher in the same stat if it does
I bricked a GA hellbent commander amulet, a GA Golem Mastery Chest, and a GA skeletal warriors boots all in the same night. Then missed 7 straight times trying to masterwork crit Golem mastery on a different Golem chest. It sucks
It is - I find it confusing too- best to save these videos n watch them back whilst u are slowly doing each activity as u go.... its fun when u start to get it right
Not just you. I really enjoy the the new graphics, skills, etc. but I think Diablo 3 did a lot of things better. Like crafting and I think the story/lore was better
With affix rerolling on console, you can press Y on Xbox and I'm guessing Triangle on PS for the list as long as you select which affix to change first.
I HATE the enchanting system but I learned a few things about it in this video that should decrease my frustration. For example, if I'm rerolling an affix, why give the same one at the same or lower value? Makes no sense! Those options should be eliminated to streamline the process. Thank you for your help.
Its meant to be a money sink I assume. Since its been in every version of Diablo since you could reroll stats on gear. I just wish they hadn't weighted the primary stat rolls so heavily.
Instead of saving the image and posting it on D4, You can use Win+Shift+S to snap a partial screenshot, then paste that into the image upload. Its seamless, dont need to save images.
On the enchanting portion, it's less to do with the affix slot number/location than it is what affixes are in the other two slots. For instance, you can't ever get more than one element resistance on an item, so when you were looking at the possible affixes in the third slot, all other resistance options were removed because it already existed in the first slot. Same thing with Crit Damage being missing because the second slot was in that same "category" of affix. But had those first two slots been something like Int and Max Life, the third slot woulda had basically every affix possible. That said, you can kinda game the system and lower the possible affix pool on items but it's not always helpful on a lotta builds since you might end up with an unnecessary element resistance anyway.
The timestamps make your video better than 90% of any other diablo youtube videos. Everyone is scared to put them because they want to maximize view time and appease to the algorithm.

I have not yet once been able to roll cdr on an amulet and I haven't even seen it on a helmet. I feel like this is because I play sorc, so to me the beat argument to make a new character is simply to help roll gear.
Just got into D4 currently lvl 45. I didn't know much about this game and thought it was "kill stuff, get better gear from drops, kill more stuff". The complexities I had zero clues about. I'm sure this video will come in handy when I figure stuff out more. Thanks for the info. Digging into more of your videos today. I have a ton to learn.
For trying to roll skill slot enchant on a new char I take regular none greater affix gear or one grater affix gear and roll 5 times then move onto the next item. I've gotten decent starter gear on my chars doing that on the cheap.

In addition I am really interested in knowing exactly how in the heck you get 54K life, and 34K attack power. But on to the glyphs, The radius of level 15 glyphs is 1 extra slot one more than 3 leading up to level 15. Why with no further expansion of the radius, why would you level to 21?

I'm not a fan of selling stuff on these sites, but the gold costs is insane and starting to sold itens don't need and now are sitting at almost 2 bilions of gold. Got luck to drop a 3 GA Unique Ring thats sold at one bilion (ando probabilyt have more value). And spend a lot maxing out values or trying to get a better amulet for my rogue. Tempering its great, but so bad you can brick very good itens. If one of this is implemented its fix this. 1 - A rare item (same rarity that Stigian Stone) that reset the temper count to five 2 - Able to maintain previous tempering 3 - A choice of two options Same of masterwork, the reset all ranks is very punishing, thing the reset only remove the 25% bonus.
I can't even get my affix on rng roll 😢 I blew 40 million trying to get any flameshield on my chest piece yesterday. Your point at 10 minute mark answered this dilemma 😂 and thanks on the tip to temper first. I'm doing this all wrong.. started gear working just last night. One gear piece on my sorc build calls for 2 passives on the affixed, so it's going to be an rng nightmare

Yes!! Tempering is the worst feature to ever happen to Diablo. I love the pros IF you hit your tempering a but for a gear piece that I’ve farm hours for to be bricked and not usable anymore is crazzyyy!
@@jpaz98 idk why either . But I typically temper 3 times and then go back to my original piece and then get whatever I want on the first or second temper
how do you reroll the temper slots, and maintain the bonuses? You lose the last bonus if you temper a new one.... Also, Use crappy items you dont need to temper first, figure out the pattern of the tempering system. Basically using dummy gear to waste temper rolls and using the good piece of equipment after not getting the affix you wanted on other pieces of gear for a lot of rolls.
Yo, this was so well put together. It sounded like off the top of your head, which if watching a ton of Zizaran Poe guides has taught, it’s apparently very hard to do, because Ziz is Absolutely Terrible at communicating what he’s talking about. (Poe is ofc much more complex so no hate)
Dont forget, on amulets u dont want to temper for better chance gettin +2 passive stat masterwork. Better odds when masterworking, cuz 2 less stats to masterwork odd Edit: im dumb, cant masterwork un tempered items.. my apologies
dayum i'm still stuck on farming eggs & shards just to get a chance at an uber from duriel can't get past lev60 pit cause don't have the mats for masterworking and ubers needed to get even close to 100pits. sigh.

Question. For master working, there are these "manuals" we find, and click on. Would it be correct that NOT learning a manual, wouldn't that decrease potential affixes? Or are the manuals just upgrading stats already available?
I spend 10 rerolls trying to get a crit on my Tyraels Might. All i wanted was anything other than resistance. ALL 10 WERE RESISTANCE. Over 50million and all my mats gone and its still stuck on resistance. No shot its not bugged
Two separate things are going on - Tempering and Masterworking...I believe @thedarkeness125 that @135Jaeger531 is talking about Masterworking since Tyreal's is an Uber unique.
@@thedarkness125 yes. First roll was to resistances (no max res). From there spend 5 million to reset it. Then tried a another roll, which was resistance again. I did that 8 more times, all rolled resistance. I just wanted the first crit on something useful and from there the rest i would take whatever. Diablo didnt even allow me to get past that first roll.
i don't get the 14:00 part. you are talking about re-tempering after masterworking an item? isnt fully tampering required for masterworking in first place?
I have maxed 4 characters iron wolves rep in hell tides and still run tons more. I’ve leveled nearly 40 glyphs to 21. I’ve slayed the Ubers plenty too. Never ever have I ever ONCE had a triple greater affix drop. Don’t tell people helltides are the way to get em. I burn 1000+ cinders every helltide all off farming the maiden and that’s just a bold faced lie. They don’t drop off her or anywhere else except maybe 150 pits and a super rare drop off the Ubers bosses. I literally found 3 Uber uniques…never seen a triple ga item. And I can could the double ga items I’ve ever gotten on two hands.

One tip (actually two) for farming Blood Maiden, contribute 1 stone for the event to get better gear, also eat that yeallow brain consumable thing to increase monster level.

How do you get the in-game gold (or item) when you make the trade on an external website? Is this a Blizzard page? Login with battle net? Who gets access to this login data? Or do you need to organise a virtual meeting in game? Really? In what year was the in game auction house invented?
OMG… how after 200+hours i ddint know i can see which affix can be roll per spot while enchanting. I semi-follow a guide so i figured that if eg. armor is possible on a helm anything that i choose to re-roll can roll the armor i need… checkin this the sec i get back from work… soooo curious. thanks!
Just so I understand it correctly, does that mean if you got the crit masterwork bonus on the GA crit dmg bonus affix (Assuming the base stat is +50%), it would actually drop from 75% to 62.5% thus completely removing the GA bonus altogether ? Or does it stack so (50x1.25) + (50x1.5) = 87.5 ? or even better, does the GA bonus apply after MW bonus, so (50*1.25)*1.5 = 93.75 ? I clearly have not MW enough items to have discovered what becomes of said GA affix, which is why I'm asking, and thanks for the guides and content, super helpful 🙂 *Update - I was fortunate enough to have a 4 GA Tibaults Will drop, so I tested it. The GA that scored the MW crit was +20 to Max resource, meaning it must have been a base of 13.33. After the MW crit, it ended up at +25. SO I mathed it out, and what it looks like to me is that the GA applies a flat rate bonus of 50% to the base stat, so +6.66 taking it to +20 total, and the MW bonuses of 5% at each rank and then the 25% MW crit bonus, each apply individually to the base of 13.33 - All bonuses being addative, they do not compound - So : 50%+5%+5%+5%+25% = 90%, Thus 13.33 x 1.9 = 25.33 which I believe is rounded down to 25 according to what I've read. So Looking at the crit strike damage in your video, if the MW bonus crit on the GA stat with it's base value of (77.5/1.5)x1.9 = 98.17. I f it crit on the tempered stat, it would be 81.4x1.4 = 113.96, pretty decent difference. *Update - I have since MW'd my Tibaults Will to rank 8, and it crit again on the Bonus to max resource, which took the total figure to +30. Applying the formula listed above, it still holds true, you simply add the 4 rank bonus of 40% total to the previous total MW and GA bonus of 90%, so 13.33x2.3 = 30.659 - Rounded to 30.
@@Joshua-nv8fl Hi Joshua, basically yes, however if you have tempered an item and it's temper value of a stat is higher than the starting GA value of the same stat on the item, and you are lucky enough to have MW at each 4th rank crit on the tempered value, it will end up higher than the GA stat, if that makes sense. Which is basically what the video already indicated, i just thought everyone would like to know how the math works 🙂
Sweet baby jeebus, I never clicked on that possible affix button. I was just looking at a build guide listing top 5 wanted affix per item, and I just picked the 1 affix I didn't like and rolling the dice.
@QWERTY-vv5xc are you sometimes on pc and sometimes on console? Because on console, the button is never there, yet on the bottom of the screen it says press Y(on xbox) view possible affixes

Great video, i learned SO MUCH. but. I'm gonna say, the "this is how to make billions of gold" just being selling stuff was pretty 🤪. I mean cmon. That's the same as if i told you the easiest way to make thousands irl was to sell cars to people. But that 1 little thing aside this is seriously great info. I didn't even know you could check the possible affix on rerolling gear. I have 5 characters all near lvl 100 and I've been blindly guessing the entire time

I m lvl 100 my attack is 52k, armour 14k, life 30k, all resistances are maxed but i m not able to clear rift lvl above 35, what am i doing wrong plz assist
Armor maxes out at like 9250 or about, so dont bother with anything above that and save those paragons/gems/stats for something else depending on how you got to your current number.
Re: getting a rare + skill affix, I think with the gear vomit we get this season, one thing we can do is have several reasonable pieces we can work on, and give each piece x amount of chances to roll what we want per to cut down on gold costs since those go exponentially up. Dont' forget about the obol lady too since you can try to get a specific piece of equipment.
Trading adds the element of sleeze to the game which I really don't care for. I guess some people like it. And I guess you need a 'Master-Card' if you really want to do any Master-Working. I've spent over 60 million in resets, and can not get my helmet to crit on cooldown.
How comes all top players have the masterwork done all levels on one afix... it's crazy how manny times you need to reset to get all 3 levels on same afix, how is this possible ?
