Honestly love your enthusiasm, and work you put in providing us with builds. just stumbled on this channel due to D4 and you fast became one of my fav's. Much rather tune in to your positivity than some of the other channels right now.
Your build is also stronger than you think, let me explain why: 1. That capstone passive thing only works if you have it unlocked, because I got that legendary power too and tested it, and nothing changed because the skill is not unlocked yet. 2. The Alpha necklace says 150 percent additional damage, so to me that reads as 250 percent total damage, so it's amazingly good. 3. You use the vine creeper active after you use bulwark, try using it before! That way the immobilize that activates buffs your next earthen shield, which will help you stay alive when you encounter that tough elite and boss. 4. The wolves and a lot of passives boost dps to crowd controlled enemies, try using the vine creeper then spamming the active on wolves, they should hit even harder. I played a very different build that killed everything much slower but i was able to tank pretty much everything with ease. The Druid is actually a pretty strong class that does not have to worry about dodges to much in my experience. Great to see your build, i have the feeling that the Druid will see quite a bit of different possible and viable builds.
After finding the Bestial Rampage and Wolf Companions Are Now Werewolves codexes, I was playing with wolves and ravens. Your build here is so much better and refined, I can't wait to try it when the game comes out!
I did this build earlier today and I'm a HUGE fan. I got so much flak for saying it was good! Druid still needs a lot of love but with the right build and synergies I'm such a huge fan!
My first class that I wanted to use, was the Druid. Farming for a couple of hours I wasn’t getting good legendary to get good affixes. I was get disappointed due to not having any luck, but you my friend have surprised me with your build. Keep up the good work.
I had the same problem with getting legendaries that did nothing for my build. I think it might be best if Druids and maybe Barbs take a break from the story early on to go hunt down dungeons that give the good codex aspects needed for a fun build. Otherwise it's going to be a nightmare with 3 times less legendary drops.
When the game goes live you should have a look at the druid build I was running. I can not remember all the pieces since I can't look at my legos. But the basis break down is this. #1 lightning storm - channeled spell + bulwark + rabies + ravens Legos include - +crit to dmg enemies +crit for lightning after casting an earth spell "bulwark" +dmg while standing still "were channeling" +barrier when dmg an elite The part I am not sure about is I had something that was allowing me to regen some resource while channeling, this could sometimes mean the lightning storm could be 12+ strikes Rotation - Ravens / Bulwark / Rabies / Channel storm There were other synergistic legos I just can't recall them ;-/

Cool build nice job, I also had fun leveling Druid to 20 with the build options, just really really wish they had at least one Teleport/Movement ability or faster wolf travel form, I found the generally mobility for walking between zones disappointing for Druid. Almost every other class has some kind of Teleport/Jump/Flash step other than Druid and Necro. Since when Could a Druid not have proper travel form :)
cool build, my main concern would be scaling of the companions at endgame. You're putting all your legendary offensive power into them so if they start to die or the damage scaling falls off it's pretty much a dead build. The necro has a ton of abilities designed to keep his pets alive deep in his skill tree, but the druid has very little.
Yea good point! I think with additional uniques and paragon levels it will help for sure, also we still don’t have our companion specialization too! Haha I’m bit hopeful usually
@@ownagebox they die slow now. Once you start hitting high lvl nightmare dungeons I suspect they’re going to get wiped out pretty easily. Pet scaling at endgame is always iffy in these games, especially early in their lifecycle.
I like your videos and your enthusiasm. To be honnest I played the druid until level 25 and without all the codex you're showing here, it looked very weak compared to the Sorcerer or the Necro. So it's nice to see that the Druid can be very powerfull, as does the Bararian, once you have gathered all the legendary powers. Thank you and keep up !
glad you liked it Orrin, yea same experience for me too! I do feel that druid is a bit weaker compared to other classes, maybe it gets better after unlocking its specializations in the next zone! Most classes got a power spike after lvl 15, and even barb had 4 weapons, poor druid was left out in the beta

Yes dude!! I was running a very similar companion build but with Werebear rather than elemental and was WRECKING EVERYTHING! While I'm destroying everything on Druid I look on RU-vid and everyone is hating on Druid 🤔?! I guess it's just all about builds but I've been loving Druid! Every bit as viable as the Necro or Sorc people are simping over
Remember the Legendary aspect of " Gain 1 additional Companion, your companion skills deal 200% - 300 % bonus damage" ? I found this new beta the same legendary and now the bonus damage is 20% - 40 % ! It's crazy the nerfs in the legendary powers....
I've been pouring over the skill tree with several different builds and this one I knew was going to be really strong. I like that you added the standing aspect that is actually crazy good idea! I got the plus one to companion but only got the one to turn them into werewolf companions very late in the beta so I'm glad to see this is as strong as I imagined it would be. I ended up running the earth pulverize with 100% crit damage and lingering pulverize aspects, and more cc to earth, on top of running max tier landslide, it was spirit hungry but petrify kills helped some and I even forgot about clarity node, with petrify it would drop elites pretty quickly critting for 3-4k, it was still very much a wip but it still felt pretty damn good.
I was trying this build too, sadly no real gear for it and didn’t make it to 25. Build isn’t nearly as crazy without that gear. Still pretty good to know when the game actually releases. Awesome work, thank you

@@architheftmusic1449 melee rogue build that is bursty af, blood mist CE necro build that turns everything to red (he also showcased that) relies only on 1 legendary to make the build work, not a bunch. Druid is undertuned at 25 cap, hope they improve at launch. It's not ok if you think you need a bunch of legendaries to deal a fraction of damage of other classes.
Nice pet build! My landslide druid did 3-5k crits per hit from each side and it gets a free follow up (10k-20k from 1 right click). Don't needa set up for that dmg or anything either except getting more resource when petrify is down. too many complain about no dmg from druid and barbs when the real reason is ppl dont wanna grind or actually play the game to get good.
For the first 00:17 seconds, I look at your skill bar, and you are doing the same build I was messing with, except my "right click" is more thunder attacks(lighting storm), and instead of Wolves, I'm using LandSlide.
Druid, Barb, and Rogue are VERY gear/aspec dependent. They each need the "complete" set before they really amount to anything whereas Sorc and Necro don't need complete sets . . . but when they do they are even scarier. It just stinks having to try to farm for a complete set for a class just to make it work as well as 2 others, imho.
I think if I was a dev i'd nerf early sorc and necro Base skills and core %damage for sure. Act 1 was way too easy on sorc and necro, I could have played the game with my feet and still clear it. From my play test to levels 1- 25 druid, rogue and barb felt perfect not at all under performing. But then I was leveling as a upheaval barb and earth druid.
I was on the Druid struggle bus for my entire experience. Could not get any good legendary aspects to drop. Basically had to myself into a tank and whittle enemies down in order to complete anything. This made progress a complete crawl compared to Necro where everything dies no matter what aspects you bring to the table. My barbarian also played slow to start but became a powerhouse once I learned how to guarantee overpower and boosted my overpower damage over 120%. That build was 3 shotting bosses and was amazing once I got it rolling. Druid is just not user friendly, fun to play but just a slog until you can get proper gear.
this build is great for BETA when you farm higher level content to get a powerful weapon and armor that is over scaled for act 1. I mean I'm sure end game might have some aspects of this build but this isn't even close to what we expect the launch experience to look like and druid is STILL going to be hampered in damage while leveling if we use the beta experience as an example. With the way items and enemies scale once you got to level 35-40 that build would also no longer be "one shotting" all elite packs without weapon upgrades and other armor upgrades from a higher scaled area. Also with the comment on the "5 second kill" any build with any class in full upgraded legendries with gear dropped from a higher level mob that have over scaled power for the area is going to kill stuff fast. Its the equivalent of giving a 300 power weapon to a lvl 14, of course they are gonna smash stuff, until they get to level 22 and the hp on mobs catches back up.
It only took a full set of legendaries as well as upgrading them at the smith, not gonna happen when leveling in a fully released game. By then it will hopefully be rebalanced
I’ve seen so many videos saying Druid is one of the hardest characters in my mind I just went just wait for this man he’ll make a build that’ll break the game more than necro and sure enough still baffles me even though I saw it coming

Druid was the one i was most looking forward to playing, i loved the druid in D2 but on the last beta i fell it was lacking somewhat. Maybe its a char thats not overly fun to level but will come into its own at end game content. But this build was certainly more entertaining then what i tried before, so thankyou for that
The 1 extra pet and extra damage power makes all the difference for this build, the power that gives you wear wolves that spreads rabies is a trap and makes everyone think they should go poison but really just stack multipliers with immobilized damage

Had a blast playing the druid, at 25 with a non min maxed character i could fight dungeon bosses and rarely use potions, he was indestructible, had a real blast with him, in fact may be the reason I buy the game
I hate that we have ridiculous multipliers in items. Why do wolves to no dmg baseline, but 200% *150% with items? It's so annoying to rely completely on gear for a skill to function.

I think a lot of people are new comers to diablo from the sounds of it. Yes, your playstyle changes with legendaries and in this game, they will even have uniques above that which change it even more. The point is that you have to make some effort to level and find loot. Then it feels good when the build comes together.
Small thing to add is that some of your items are from that rare that drops level 35+ gear, and you managed to make it equippable by adding the Legendary Affix to it. So a real leveling character wont be this strong. The build itself is solid tho, good job!
I dont like that the skills/pets dont do anything without 200-300% and 150% dmg. It's the same as D3 you HAVE to have all the certain items to even play.
Mattjestic, you are discovering builds that none of the big name guys are finding, and consistently too. You found epic barb builds when everyone else was hating on the barb. And now you really take the cake showing how the Druid can actually mop the floor with this zoo build. You deserve so much more visibility, you are the real deal man. Thank you for your dedication to finding such awesome build combinations. It would be awesome if you made a video sometime outlining how you “think” about your builds and theory crafting. Something like a “how to theory craft in Diablo 4” or something like that. Anyway, love your channel man, keep up the good work!
when you have a lvl 25+ weapon all builds are OP at lvl 25 when regular weapon drops are mostly lvl 15-17 in the beta. my sorc was at 750 with a drop off the lvl 35 mob. Nice builds though, keep them coming.
You are really doing great work with all your builds for all classes. Important to mention though in my opinion would be, that your char in the demo videos has up to 855atk power and can do stuff, that other classes can do with 400-500. Same goes for several other stuff coming from your items. The build is great, but other classes need far less farming and can achieve almost the same result with less work I think. Nonetheless, great work
My thoughts exactly. It's overkill for 25 if anything to get the same results I had at 650 with a boulder druid. He minmaxxed this to hell and back and used gold farmed from other toons. This build isn't broken, it's an exception. The argument against druid is the effort getting to this at 25 compared to other classes. No one said that if you get incredibly lucky rolls and game the enhanced legendary drops in the beta that it couldn't be done. The real point is all the work he had to do to make this as viable as it was. I spent maybe 6 hours on my druid and got to 650 just doing the content and constantly respeccing into the legendaries I got just to keep the momentum. I didn't even want a boulder druid lol
Hi Matt. I am sold with this build. However i noted your weapon is having 200-300% bonus, i thought it should be 20% bonus instead. Aspect of stampede? If it was nerf to 20%, is it still doable for this build?
So I played a very similar build and I can tell you from experience that this build isn’t anything close to this powerful or even viable without all those aspects on. Every build I’ve seen in this game so far, even one’s people consider garbage suddenly becomes overpowered when full of legends. Not exactly the kind of build diversity I was hoping for in this game when every build requires 10 legendary items.
I had a similar build, I just made my druid more tanky. Was using the healing apsect what healed me when I have changed forms. But the companion upgrade aspects (werewolf aspect and +1 companion aspect) are really good While I have facetanked the dungeon bosses, my companions just decimated them. XD Druid is actually really good, you just need proper legendaries, and you have to know how to build it. :)
This build is heavily dependent on items. No one knows if the drop rate will be the same in release as it is not in open beta. Druid still remains the hardest character to play with. Saying all that -> Im still going to roll Druid on release!
i got a 260% roll and put the wolf one on the amulet with 130% xD was broken af didnt use defensives though just used bear form for mobility and pulverize insane combo nuclear build xD was super painful getting there though, lvl 15-19 elites were world bosses for my druid. ill level it as an alt staked with gear
but literally had pulverize clearing screens with the legendary for 2k hits and the wolves and other pets going ham, werewolves were doing 3-4k no crit per wolf xD
Ermegewd, Diablo 3 creeping into the items. Cloak of the Garwulf was one of my favorite Legendaries. Given how weak the companions are baseline this is fine to have a crazy bonus.
This is really cool. Unfrotunately this build is really ger-dependant and it is highly ulikely that you will find appropriate legendary during lvl on release. I've lvled my druid to lvl 20 in beta and got like 3 legs. And beta had 3x the droprate then the release. So. We'll see, we'll see. But this definetly shows that you will be able to do stupid things with druid in the endgame. and thats really good:)
@@MrRequiem147 320 is not real on lvl 20... And it's beta. It's 3x leg drop chance. You won't have that on release. So. Druid will be hard to lvl compared to other classes.
Wasn't able to get the right companion legendaries, but I got a bunch of earth skill ones and made a build that slaps. It still feels underwhelming compared to corpse explosion necro but there are working builds that melt shit as a druid. This was the one I wanted so badly!
