I hope I get into the beta since I couldn't get into the alpha. Good vid. I know its still in testing and can see the graphical glitches and the neon green shako but im still looking forward to this game. Hammerdin was always meta in game but I hope the buff the other not so well builds that synergize so everyone doesn run the same builds in the remaster.
@@fossiexe5406 there are some videos of people teleworking around and switching back and forth to the original graphics and the new. And it confirms that though the fcr is the same, the increased Frame rate on the new graphics makes it look much slower than with the older graphics. It's gonna take some getting used too. Especially if you've been playing since its release in 2000.
I'm not sure if they changed that effect specifically but they have gone through and changed alot of effects to more closely resemble the original since the alpha finished
They keep 99,99% visual of the original mini map. It has really showed how the dev team thinking about d2 player's feeling. Put in some dungeon crawler features and new runewords and the game would be beyond perfect
@@UncommonS3nse there are 2 differences though. 1. This is more of a cloth, a hood covering the head than having a cap shape. 2. The old one is of darker, military green color. This one is bright, neon green which looks both hideous and unsuitable for a dark, gritty game.

I love it for the most part but some things bother me as of right now like the old bone helm and shako looks way more badass to me and the way the characters run is going to take some getting used to
the shield doesnt even have a proper cross, just like D3 so-called crusader that has instead greek psi letter. Literally used by masons/devil worshipper IRL lol... It is an abomination, that does not deserve anybodys money.

I don't really like that holy shield is just slapped on top of the actual shield instead of transforming it entirely. A cool change would be if holy shield transformed its appearance based on what type of shield you were using. Round version if a targe or rondache. Long version if a heraldic etc.
You can't make changes like that. They're sticking to the original very closely and old timers like myself really appreciate that. Besides, cool idea or not, once you change that, then it just spirals and what's left is a completely different game.
I'm sure it's just a glitch that'll be fixed, only the Barbarian, Sorceress and Amazon were officially playable during the alpha. I used a tool to convert some of my high level characters to be playable, that's why I can also access hell mode.

Wrong. People keep missing that the character is at least lvl 65 and in hell. This person is probably on the dev team and showing higher gameplay footage. You can’t even get to hell and past lvl. 30 in the alpha

Harlequin Crest, as the name implies, should be a flamboyant outfit. This version does it justice, it looks very good bright and out of place but that's the essence of the item.

omg the new holy shield looks fucked up, this remake is likely gonna fail again like all the new Activision games, warcraft 3 reforged comes to mind. Activision lost its mojo, all their classic games like diablo and warcraft are ruined, even WOW is dying.
In older patches it used to ignore demon and undead resists modifiers. Maybe they used data from old patches or added physical or other elements dmg to spell?
