and difficulty adjustment based on pit is kinda reverse grift in D3. In grift menu you could see which level was equivelant of which torment difficulty. In here we see which difficulty equals which pit level.
Yes which I never had an issue with that system. But gylphs are miles better than gems because you can build points around them to scale them differently and have different boards to put them in. They showed the paragon boards looking slightly different hopefully there is more changes there.
am i the only one who thinks uber uniques should have their own look. Nothing worst than seeing a new one with the same armor base we've seen 100 times.
Please god quit making us run strongholds on every Alt there is no reason to do them once on your main and having them locked and having to redo them on alts
@@danieljackson5687 i don’t get why people play season . I tried once and then I will not try anymore , there no sense for me to restart the same game every 3 months wit a character from 0
they arent nerfing eternal items. theyre still the equivalent of max ilvl as of right now. but its an expansion. no game is just gonna give you max ilvl for any new expansion just because you play on "eternal". regardless of them changing the number it says on "ilvl" youd still have to get to the new max lvl and get the new lvl 60 gear.
Not doing ptr on console is going to cost them a lot of players eventually. See you're not getting data that models the community. Only the pc community. There will be more trouble for this game soon.
Please don’t make glyph leveling chance based. We all know there are going to be situations where you fail a 50% chance 10 times in a row. Keeping it experienced based is way more consistent and less annoying.
The concept of chance leveling gylphs is to push you to do harder content otherwise people could just stay at level 1 pits and just level them up every time.
Awesome changes… the game has really come a long way since launch. Great work by Blizzard and most of these seem like good decisions. Only one thing comes to my mind though - if glyph upgrades are moving to the Pit, what’s the point of running nightmare dungeons anymore?
@@jorgedelaguerragomez147they mentioned it in the stream, did you not watch all of it? Anyway, yes, basically they just swapped them, but in NMD’s mobs drop MW-materials on death and bosses/finishing dungeon drops a higher amount
Vouch would love to see some classic Diablo items brought back into the game!!! Everything that grass has mentioned is worthy of becoming a mythic unique!!!
Tempering fix ideia: if you have 3 possible affixes, make them blue, purple and green for example, then you can attach a gem of the same colour on the tempering window to increase the probably of that affix to roll. The higher the gem quality, the better your probability
This is a wonderful idea. I love this. It incentivizes care being put into what you're doing since there's a potentially high cost to it (especially considering gem fragments are now a cost of Glyph leveling), but still gives you agency in how tempering can pan out.
If all ancestral items have a GA, and all non-ancestral items don’t. Can we not simply remove the word “ancestral” and save visual clutter? Thanks for coming to my TED talk
Lol you're going to hate what i tell you, have you ever played d3? you ancient and primal drops? thats what they are doign with ancestral, enjoy your one ancestrial drop after hours of farming, just to brick it with the one scroll limit to retemper items.
The only thing ancestral and normal had in difference can't even be compared anymore, it's impossible, because normal items cap at power level 750, and ancestrals are only 800, nothing else. They might as well remove the ancestral alongside with sacred, and just make that if you get the max item power level item you get all the benefits that ancestral had. We can see the greater affix icon anyway so no point having the item categories with this change. They basically made it into a d3 with most of the changes. This was also a joke of patch notes, they didn't change anything with this. "Greater affixes may only drop on ancestral items" that is already in live. "Two Tempering Slots Up From One" yes that's already in live. "Masterworkable up to rank 12, up from 4" that is already in live.
I was really hoping the tempering RNG was going to be adjusted to be a little smarter. I REALLY enjoy trying to roll for something only for the game to roll the same thing over and over. (Want Vulnerable DMG, get crit dmg x4 for example)
Capping the number of paragon boards is a bad thing imo. If you want us to focus on powering up a glyph or getting a legendary node instead of putting in a new glyph, incentivise those options instead of forcing them. Then we can pick which route we take.
Minions needs to be a actual skill and not a passive ability so we can properly scale and build them right way. We also need minion components like poison, cold, fire and ice minions and a option to make them more aggressive just more options period.
A feedback loop like audit trail covering combat play would be extremely beneficial for understanding WTH is going on and how your player was impacted by the recent changes on their gear.
Serious question: why does it still say “(Ancestral)” on the ground label? Seems pointless now that you have GAs to identify them and it’s a loooooot of clutter!
When you mentiones chance to level your glyph I got PTSD from D3, but you BLEW my mind when you got to Runewords. I was literally clapping in my chair alone =). GOOD JOB!
I really enjoyed this campfire chat. No unnecessary show, just the changes, presented by the designers. Btw, can we get Aislyn on every one of these campfire chats? She killed it out there!
One thing I haven't seen discussed much but would like to see-monster variety. Compared to Diablo 2 and 3, the variety gets pretty stagnant by mid-game. Compared to most MMOs and other ARPGs as well. I'm sure new monsters will be available as part of the DLC area, but it would be nice to see more monsters throughout the game becoming permanent fixtures as the game progresses, and new enemy types arising. The best moments of previous titles were finding new areas and seeing brand new monsters that you had to learn how to handle.
We now know angels are coming at some point, there's the new monstrous cat race coming, new jungle zombie demon things, as well as new baseline additions to khazra, spiders, snakes, and demons.
Or maybe the current monsters have some kind of difficulty instead of waiting to get locked in a 20 foot room to get oneshot by some stupid mechanic you can't even see?
The game already has plenty of monster variety. The problem is that anything that isn't a Tormented Boss or high tier Pit boss dies instantly so their mechanics are irrelevant. Every horde of enemies you encounter are dealt with in the same manner (which is to say thoughtlessly), so they may as well all be the same.
@@makumasa Exactly, the disconnect of enemy creation and mechanics and the higher up devs that deal with stats, spawning, placements and AI engagement rules is staffed with absolutely incompetence. Blizzard is FULL of talent but some nepo babies slimed their way in and ruined hundreds of thousands of work hours of actually talented hard working devs. The models, textures and animations have remained staffed with the best of the best while higher ups continue to take positions they clearly should NOT have. We need physics experts, top tier gamers, martial artists and combat experts in these positions, not some business slime ball like they currently have. It's a publicly traded company so outing them like this is the best strategy to force them to hire competent game devs who actually care about games and not their yacht or whatever greedy bullshit they're clearly focused on. Incredibly frustrating nobody else knows how to verbalize this clear decline.
Are runes going to be the go-to currency now??? That's going to be awesome. Great updates! Paragon board still seems a bit complicated and will be hard to switch up between builds, but I'm willing to try it. I'm glad Paragon boards are limited and not focused so much on "most efficient path"
Season 4 was the first time I paid for a battle pass. That was my way of expressing approval for the positive work that was done. I bought it again in Season 5. This is the first video I’ve liked and commented on. You really worked hard on turning D4 into a better game. Looking forward to 10/6/24.
Also this game is too casual friendly there is almost no difference between 400h player vs 10h player. I can log in now with fresh char and level 100 under 5 hours. Another 5 hours farm 1 shot all uber bosses
In Blizzards 30 years... In EVERY GAME...I heard exactly the same thing every game, every expansion... We change the numbers, the damage numbers, so it will be meaningful. Every time... So like, you cannot remember this at the beginning of the new game/expansion development? You don't have cheat sheets? When you start a game from scratch, it feels like you starting with a full experience wipe on your development team. You trying to tell me that you "grown" and you now know that the damage numbers should be meaningful? Like it's something amazing big revelation? And of course not to mention everything else, the leveling, the skill levels, the talents, the paragons, the difficulty... This is mindblowing to me, saying this as an IT engineer who works in IT industry more than 25 years now. It is just really unacceptable at this point, both as a player, and both as an IT person.
Can you please update patch notes with 1. Are legacy uber uniques giving sparks after patch 2.0 goes live? 2. Are all our higher tier masterworking materials going to be automatically converted into obducite or do we have to manually convert them before patch? 3. Are neathiron and ingolith being deleted from the game and we will never need those again in the future? 4. Is legendary aspect's leveling system being reworked accodingly with new loot scarcity? 5. Wasn't this patch supposed to tone down damage numbers? This is where you should start, then there is a ton more topics to talk about
Am I the only one who sees that they still keep us in the paid beta of this game? How can the creator of the Diablo series have such a big problem with the identity of his game? Do you want to make a new Last Epoch or finally a dark, old and difficult Diablo in the 21st century?
I saw the Todd McFarlane toys for Diablo 4 yesterday and I noticed a few things. The Druid can wield a 2 handed staff and a totem at the same time, a Sorcerer can equip a 2 handed staff and a focus and the Necromancer can equip a 2 handed scythe and a 1 handed scythe at the same time. Are there any plans to add these options in the future?
excellent work guys, thank you! One small note for mythic uniques - I hope the new ones does not look like godslayer crown and soulbrand (icons were the same).
What other items are we missing? Belts? Wrists? Yeah yeah let’s add those. Unironically though, what might be cool is if they actually brought the charms back as like a little trinket bag that you play Tetris in. Make it very basic stats that just feel nice to optimize but aren’t major make or break stuff. Like 2.5% crit chance, adding a small flat damage number and type to your weapon before multipliers kick in. Small movement speed bonuses. Stuff like that.
A really big thanks to the dev team on this and the progression of the game over the last year. They listen and they provide! Really excited about the game now and what's to come. Keep up the good work, You are all doing a ripper of a job!
Great job to the Diablo team for this campfire chat! I really appreciate how open and honest you are about what's happening now and what happened in the past, good or bad. It's cool to see you guys listening to the community and taking our feedback seriously. Really optimistic about the future of D4
Overall pretty awesome, but I don't like the direction of bandaiding bad skills, like the Necromancer has, for example with Sever, by just adding a mandatory Aspect that more than doubles it's damage, rather than doing some work to fix the base skills and Class. Necromancer needs some major work done, as well as a few more skills and passives extra just to be on par with what other classes launched with.
One thing I really want to highlight and bring positive attention to is how well Adam and Aislyn speak to the community as if they are internal shareholders of the product. For those watching that work in office environments you can tell they are presenting in a similar manner as if they were speaking to senior team members or similar to what I image that pitch to senior stakeholders sounded like. Great job!
Please make the PTR available on console also. I’m sure a lot more people would love to be able to join. A lot of us play with controller and could provide valuable insight for making the game better that way also.
How about make sorc gear look cool? This seasons reward makes me look like I’m wearing a garter belt. Nightmare dungeons are boring and leveling glyphs makes me want to hurl. How about make other activities give glyph experience?
Did I hear right that pit only goes up to 100, glyphs go up to 100 but only guaranteed success at 10 levels higher. So essentially you beat a pit 100 and it's not guaranteed that you will level a glyph even?
Really need certain zones have higher and higher levels of mobs that way it feels like we are progressing through the game instead of mind numbing kill kill kill anywhere mindset , it would make the game 1000 percent better to have zones level based on
Can I give some feedback on the damage numbers. Can we get a DPS counter that we can enable and disable? The way damage is displayed now is only really good for signal target damage and doesn't give the whole story. If you all provide away to just give a DPS counter as well, I think that would be meaningful.
1. Team size from 4 to 8 never addressed 2. Map overlay request ignored 3. Mount speed fast all the time, needs implemented 4. Separate class storge for each class 2 tabs 5. Wardrobe would be nice like in D3 but with storage of item placed in wardrobe not on Character 6. A rebirth option & more Character slots at lease 24 7. Also Please add some special F/X to mythic items. The items ask for are not hard to put in. it'll probably get ignored like most of things ask for in this game.
They aren't listening to players. They're listening to streamers and streamers only listen to their paying subscribers. The money flows and that's where these dumb changes are coming from.
@@Mytholic I'm just kidding 😂 What you ask, it's not going to happen in D4. That's why I'm talking about D5. I don't know if they can put a decent loot filter ☺️
This is what happens when you poll streamers, who only listen to people who pay for subscriptions. If you want your voice heard, you need to be the highest donator to a streamer. Maybe they should start polling players, not streamers. I didn't pay ~$200 to play D3 again.
I play seasonal but I like keeping some of my favourite items in Eternal characters so I can play my favourite builds from time to time. There have been multiple itemization changes since launch (S2, S4 Part 1, S5 Part2) which caused me to re-farm everything multiple times. But at least these itemization changes are improvement to items so I'm OK with it. But the S6 itemization change is really annoying. Blizzard could have just scaled down the existing items' stats proportionally based on the item power reduction, but in stead, they chose to turn all existing items into trash for the sake of "giving players some loot to chase". This is rubbish.
dungeons are the bread and butter of Diablo so hopefully nightmare dungeons get the attention they needs especially since glyph xp, the only thing they are good for, is being moved to pit
Awesome, just need more male sorc cosmetics. Like...less veils and nips/skin in general. The chest armors and some of the helms are....awkward at best on a male. I don't want to feel like some sweaty sultan's man toy. 😂😂😂
@Pixiwish I still haven't made a homeless, alcoholic John Goodman either. Barbarians looking like that, I get. The women druids are rough... That should have played off a woodelf aesthetician. As druids, they live off the land, not all you can eat Chinese buffets 🤣🤣🤣. They need passives called "triple bypass" or "meat sweats". Maybe a move where they rub cheeto grease on a weapon and set it on fire. Lol. Omg I'm going to be coming up with these all night. "Consume" eats an injured enemy whole 🤣🤣🤣
@@curian1286 LOL this is great! I 100% agree! Wood elf is my favorite aesthetic. The worst part for me is storm druid is like my dream class I want to play, but 1) I have to see the character in loading screens and when I open my inventory and it is just awful and 2) completely immersion breaking to see them run for long distances or traverse over an area on a rope. It is kind of comical.
I just wanted to say, sure a lot of things sound like d3. But d3 has had a long time to improve things, sure its not all perfect. Maybe they arent taking all the good things. But im tired of comments saying taking anything from d3 is bad, thats ludicrous. Of course they can learn how to make the new diablo better based on past diablo.
D3 had great systems - just the content diversity wasn't there, and the art and grit was lacking for a Diablo game. I'm all for them taking those great systems and putting them into D4 - Greater Rifts and Legendary Gems (and Kanai's Cube, maybe someday) were awesome.
@asum7786 I agree! the next iteration of any series should have the best aspects of whatever came before it. Idk why there would be negativity around that!
RUNEWORDS .. finaly 😀 ...we will se how new system is working.. also a question what if I socket rune into ring or amulet what effect do I get??? They should make something to socket into rings and amulets not only gems for resistance or skulls for armor!!
This Diablo team reminds me of 90's-2000's l Blizzard ... back when they were the top dogs and could do no wrong. Came out with hit after hit. Respect +++
As someone who ACTUALLY played both games, I'm sad to say that you have no idea what you're talking about and you're just trying to be cool in the comments.
Bro we don't need quadrillion of damage, these kinda numbers are ridiculous and senseless. Power creep is not something to be advertised or be proud of, it needs to be managed.
what's coming in expansion 2: set items that do 10k(x) dmg so goodbye legendaries & uniques, infinite paragon to void ur build, leaderboards so blizz can nerf all the fun builds at the top cos players crying, cube and items on merc - all for the price of another expansion of course 😂
It is more likely Diablo IV becoming Diablo III. I will not be surprised if a mechanics such as Horadric Cube most likely will be introduced in the future or maybe a Whimsyshire. Same goes with the Pit aka Rift in Diablo 3
Please add item pick up filter for console play , now console player have to pick up everything just to get the item they need ,also add buck item drop
Currently 1h in - having a concern pop up. With the new Ancestral Items being so incredibly more powerful with increased Item Power and triple masterworking potential, that could be really problematic for builds that require a Unique Weapon. Once you have an Ancestral Legendary Weapon, you won't be able to replace it unless you find the specific Unique you need for your build to work as Ancestral also. For other gear pieces you can slot a 50 item power less placeholder no problem if it means your build works, until that right Ancestral Unique drops, but for weapons that's going to be quite bad.
So what’s gonna happen to all my gear? I specifically made an Eternal character to avoid the seasonal re-grinding. I just got back a month ago to find all my gear was now “legacy items” just re geared myself, I’m not gonna be happy if my stuff is obsolete again. I probably won’t buy and won’t play. My time is actually worth something and I need it to be respected
@@Markness Cheech I been playing Diablo since D1 on the PlayStation if it weren’t for the Non Ladder feature of D2 you probably wouldn’t even have a Diablo 4 right now. Seasonal / Ladder is fantastic when that’s what you’re in the mood for but it’s got no business overlapping the eternal/nonladder. I been cranking out seasons for over a decade.
MORE STASH SPACE. i already dont have enough tabs to have 1 tab per class +1 for all-class Uniques +1 for consumeable items + GA godly/trade items and theyre adding runes AND another class WE NEED 5 MORE TABS RIGHT NOW PLZ
As a Barbarian, I'm f'ing sick of dust devils. What part of Barbarian class fantasy has swirling wind tornadoes?? It's stupid and boring. Play whirlwind build, dust devils, double swing build, dust devils, and now they add a paragon node that gives dust devils to your earth quakes, oh how exciting.
