That's how I want Diablo 4! Dark and gloomy! Mystical and scary! As you walk into the dungeon, you would never know what horror awaits you the next corner. That's Diablo. Also, I'd love to have meaningful quest dialogues, rich in lore. And also I love this slower pace, it makes the world more eerie. Diablo 3 is a rushing grindfest. I want this old-school Diablo. .... but probably it won't happen, as the D4 is always online and a bit MMO like. ... but one can always hope! :)
Twenty years later and Lazarus STILL gives me nightmares. These cheap jumpscare "horror" games need to step back look at real terror... "Abandon your foolish quest. All that awaits you is the wrath of my Master. You are too late to save the child. Now you'll join him... in Hell."
@Jason Todd Cant remember in detail now, but Cain says in Diablo 1 that the person you described is not the kid... its a random guy used for some reason. So the prince was really used as Diablos new body. If Im not mistaken, Lazarus tried to release Diablo from the Soulstone, damaging it. So Aidan, after killing Diablo and realizing he "was" his brother, did what he did...
Ogden: If you would do me a favor, good master, please don't talk to Farnham about that day. _talks to Wirt_ Wirt: Look, I'll give you a piece of advice. Ask Farnham, he was there. _talks to Farnham_ Farnham: They stab, then bite, and they're all around you! Liar! Liar!!! They're all dead! You hear me?! They just keep falling and falling! Its all his fault! _cries_ Ogden: Goddamn it, you! I told you not to tell him that! Warrior/Sorcerer/Rogue: Wirt made me do it!
This is easily the best moment of Diablo series. After this fight is also stair down to Diablo level, which was scary as hell when I played this game for the first time. Diablo didn't have any cinematic and he attacked you so fast that you didn't have enough time to react and get scared.
LaceeLasers About ten years ago I tried to imagine, how would D2 look like as a first-person slasher. I don't remember much about it, but I recall the idea of mine about Barbarian's Whirlwind :-P Everything around was spinning blurry, the weapon was slightly waving, like a wing, as it was rotating along with the warrior, it's position was fixed to the viewpoint. The spills of blood, pieces of meat and even limbs would occasionally appear at the edge of the weapon as it cuts through spawns of evil :-P In FPP version this skill would work more like Inferno, but you could be moving with WSAD with "forward" direction defined by character's orientation on skill initiation.
+LaceeLasers why hasnt blizzard tried to do that with Diablo 1? would probably be epic. even if they kept the exact same storyline as Diablo1, im sure it would put the cartoony diablos2 and 3 to shame. and somehow make a visual that limited your sight when you played, almost like a virtual reality style
@@privatevoidkeeper3775 Agreed Adria was not supposed to be a villain, and not intent to be in the 1st place, all of these are the stupid idea of the D3 team and was nothing to do with the original team.
Hate how they retconned Leoric's eldest son into being the hero of this game. I never got that impression ever, literally no one treats you like they know you.
I *had* the Diablo Battle Chest. Man, I want to be able to complete Diablo. I never got past the Catacombs. My brother is going to have to help me find the battle chest amongst much of my old "time-forgotten" stuff.
wow thank you thank you thank you!!! Bringing back memories... and helping others find LOVE. thanks for sticking to the stroyline, and keeping it as short and simple as possible... same goes with any other videos of "yours" I may be watching ;) cheers brother!!
First time I played Diablo was for the Playstation, something strange about that version is that some quests were not always present during a playthrough but would show up the next time you went through. EG. Sometimes you would get the quest "The poisonned water supply" and other times you wouldn't.
the voice of adria and the boy reminds me somehow to one of the simpsons voice actors.. argh "abandon ur foolish quest ... its too late to save the child now youll join him in hell " these words have echoes around in my head for years
Lazarus killed me with one hit, but I ran away and killed everybody else. Then I stone cursed him and beat him with my staff. Funny to see that you just stand there and won't die. You are warrior though and I'm sorcerer and I haven't put any points to my vitality.
Lazarus says: "Abandon your foolish quest, all that awaits you is the wrath of my master, you are too late to save the child. Now you will join him,,,, in hell." epic quote :D
The staff and portal to his sanctum is a single player only thing. He's in hell on multi same two sucubi. Btw. LoL at him droping a long battle bow for loot.
okay im bloody puzzled u took on Lazarus at the church (i mean the background)... same with me but some of the vids view that they battle lazarus in a hell-like background ??????????????
Loved Diablo 1 so much. I took great pleasure in flattening that bum Lazzarus, a.k.a burying Messerschmidts Reaver in his skull. P.s. i forgot how much it sounded like the female demon enemies sounded like they were having orgasms when you kill them :)
should have put the veil of steel on! pretty much the best helmet youll get in singleplayer. 50% resist to all is gigantic. would have helped against every one in there!!
