Diabolo Is A Sport 

This kind of blows my mind. Never realised this sort of stuff was even possible...

As someone who only learnt how to get a diablo moving and in the air today... I bow to thee O master!

my parents are really awesome and treat it like its not just a sport but a serious traveling sport and take me to all the competitions and meets that I can find

Thanks for your concern ;P In the recent video's you can see my new shuffle. I learned it by practising high to low. That's a way different as yours, but it worked very quickly (in one month!). This was after practising sync for one year, without any results. But I agree with you that making a wider and bigger shuffle does work out a nice result!

@3diabolos For me 3d low became a lot easier when I got 3d high steady, and I began to practise high to low. Another tip is to begin with a relative high shuffle, it'll give you more time, so you won't have to react really fast in your handmovent. If you feel it, you can start practising somewhat lower. So: make your shuffle a bit high and wide, a way to that is to practise high to low. The only thing is that you first need a steady 3d high suffle..

At first I felt bad for you :D you had the same type of 3D shuffle that i had to overcome. The unbalanced shuffle is the worst thing that can happen when you r practicing 3D. I learnt the proper shuffle by making my moves a lot bigger and putting my hand away from each other. But most importantly you must NOT do A-sync. Do the normal sync instead and whne you have learnt the sync somehow you practice A-sync. That's how i learnt it. But i'm glad that you learnt it too ^^

Nice to hear! ;P At the moment I use diabolo's from the mark 'taibolo', I use the 'super' variant (so taibolo super). You can by them at juggling shops, because diabolo actually is a kind of juggling. I don't know if you have one close to where you live, otherwise you can purchase them online..

Dat heb je heel goed gezien ;) Ik raad je aan twee diabolo's van het zelfde gewicht te kopen. Ikzelf gebruik momenteel taibolo super. Je bent goed opweg!

'The art of diabolo' van de 'mad french posse', is een hele goeie dvd. Hierin staat ontzettend veel basis. Als je alles van die video kunt, dan kun je gaan improviseren. Echt goed diaboloën, is veel improvisatie! Veel succes! ps. Kun je al met 2?

@HmmlolWut No, i've a little experimence with yoyoing.. Because I have my school, my church, I play drums and I play diabolo ;-) So I do a lot, but it's nice that you ask it! Maybe I get time in the future ;)

so Diabolo is basically HUGE butterfly Yoyo's not tied to a string but riding on a string that has to metal aglets or handles or something being flung around like a boss? that was difficult 2 put into words :3

diabolo is registered as a sport in Finland, so yes it is, but not everywhere

would a butterfly yo yo work as a diablolo? i also see used to see my friend play with this

Can you only do multiple diabolos with single axle diabolos?

is it better to juggle two diabolos with bearings or fixed axles? i have one fixed axle and two bearing diabolos and i cant seem to start juggling two of the same kind of bearing diabolos. help please?

Besides, it's really cool that you play three sports, I also like sports very much, so thumbs up! But I do think, that if you play diabolo daily and you see your muscles grow, it's in that way a sport ;P

It does not mean anything that diabolo is a sport in Finland. Diabolo is not more a sport in Finland than elsewhere... Each one can have an opinion : if a person thinks it's a way to create new things, it's possibly an art ; if a person do diabolo to improve physical fitness, it's potentially a sport ; and if a person thinks it's a way to "play", it's a game. Ok, for some people, it's a hobbie/game/sport because they just know how to copy the others, and creativity does not exist in themselves.

@RensvanDriel, 3dlow its too dificult, i practice when i can but i only can do 15 otts,but 3dhigh from trapeze are easier,yes i saw your other videos.

There are cooking competitions, and cooking is not a sport (if we consider sport like a physical activity, of course). For me, diabolo is an art, and only an art : I think it's a way to create new things, and not to improve physical fitness... But I understand that for some people, it's a game/hobbie/sport because they just know how to copy the others, and the creativity does not exist in themselves... I hope you'll understand why I think "diabolo is not a sport". Adrien

The way to Jesus himself is short though... ;P But if you want to play diabolo at a high level, you have to train a lot indeed! But the positive thing is that training diabolo is fun =)
