@Matt L. Ramsey loses credibility by his rambling and frequent reminders of how he doesn’t like Roja as a person. He overplays the ‘Look, I am not a fanboy’ card and it detracts from his reviews. This guys review is packed with good info.
I’m not sure if it was the scent itself, of the price tag, but this one made me cry. Thank you Harrods as always. If God is kind, and there’s always food on the table, then this is one fragrance I’m taking to my grave. Finally purchased a bottle last night. It took the earth beneath my feet upon my first ever sniff. Long may that effect continue. Wonderful in-depth review as always! Keep up the great work.
I agree with you not everyone will like this one. I think this one is for perfume lovers who appreciate the artistic side of perfume. This one is very complex and it is not mainstream. I love it and I do enjoy it in the coldest of weathers. Great review

Great video! Got mine last week, it really takes me back when I was kid my uncle and my dad used to wear similar type of smell perfume. But this one is at different level and modern. For those who are considering this it’s old school, timeless, and mature. Age 35+ for sure.
Finally a good review about Diaghilev, too often I hear wrong associations or just superficial thoughts, I think you did a great job in helping to put into words the vibe !!

Upon first smelling this fragrance, it totally hypnotized me. I do not care if anyone else smells it or compliments me. This takes me into a royal setting in my head. Definitely an ego booster! 👌🏿
Funny thing im wearing diaghilev now its my number 1 favorite fragrance of all time easily the most expensive smelling fragrance ive ever smelled it it smells like it should cost 5 times the amount it retails for smell like pure luxury all rojas smell expensive bit diaghilev smells regal something a king would wear Roja do chypres like no other
Nice review but... Mitsouko was certainly NOT created by Roja Dove... Mitsouko was released in 1919... Let's start there lol... The nose behind Mitsouko was Jacques Guerlain himself. But I do agree that Diaghilev is definitely inspired by Mitsouko (Though I actually like Diaghilev a BIT more!)... Love your reviews :)

I know it matters what's inside the bottle,but at least for that price,the could have put the plaque with the name symmetrical...I just hate when being so sluggish.Not at that price point.

@@andreas10617 then get it! It is a gorgeous fragrance but it has that vintage old school Chypré vibe to it! It is nothing like Elysium! But it is beautiful 🤩 you must like vintage and animalic fragrances to appreciate this masterpiece!
Thank you so much for the advice, i will try these. So far i have tried: great britain, haute luxe, black tier and chypre extraordinaire. The only one from these i liked was chypre extraordinaire because it smelled like more fruity than the others but they all had that one same smell in them that makes me think of eldery people. The black tier did not have that same smell but i did not like it much eiter the smell made me think of horsestable and horsesadles. This might sound weird but thats what i smell. But that smell in black tier that i dont like goes away after 2 hours. And i begin to like it when its almost at the end after 6-8 hours it finally smells like creamy raspberry. Like these white and pink swirled candies with raspberry flavour. If only that one smelled more like the raspberry in the beginning i would like it a lot.
