James, I'm really sorry you've had to go through all of this. I'm really glad you have recovered and everything is okay. That is a lot to take on, especially after what you went through with CFS. I very much understand what you mean regarding stress and people who cause it, putting you in either an ongoing fight or flight, or at least being put there socially on a regular basis. I truly believe that so much of ill health, mental or physical, pertains to a person being in the wrong environment for their needs on a social/emotional/existential level. I can't wait until you are able to break free from any remaining situation(s) you are in, and get to leave the last big stresses behind you so you can take that much needed sigh of relief(and the feeling of victory that comes with surviving and overcoming your circumstances). You have been a tremendous help and inspiration to so many of us that watch your videos. Please know that all of us from around the world watching your channel are pulling for you and wishing you the best. Keep going and you will find your peace. You have a long, healthy, happy life ahead of you, with the best years and highest levels of joy and vitality yet to come.
Thanks bro, it was truly inspiring!!! ❤ i have IGA as wel. Manage to get my egfr up from 18 to 30th. Now at 14 percent and because of stress and issue related to my business.. But you got me sharp again… Knowing well that i could get it up..
My heart goes out to you as you really sound like this has been a tough year for you, I think you are so strong and wise with lots of determination, great qualities. So sorry to hear you’ve had time feeling very down, so hard that, but how great that you still talk about it and share, makes you so relatable. I wish you some joy in your life after all the work you do to stay healthy. Bless you for sharing and not giving up on yourself, great example to us all. X
Another great video! I'm sorry you've gone through so much! Thanks for sharing this! It's just a testament to the fact that if you have a good enviroment, diet and lifestyle, that your body can heal!
So inspiring, I also have IgA Nephropathy... and i will never give up, i am on a journey of healing my body, my mind and life through meditation and eating right. And I've seen all these changes in my health. So grateful ❤
Sorry it's been a bad year for you. I know what you're talking about with the black hole people! I must of watched every video on youtube on natural health but I keep coming back to yours. Just knowing someones genuinely gone through the same thing is so helpful. I so needed this reminder today. I had slipped back to eating refined sugar and it's caught up with me the last week. I know what i've got to do to feel better again.
Thank you for sharing your story. There is so few resources about IgA nephropathy and any success story is important for other people who have been diagnosed with this condition. All the best to you.
hi James! I adore you. This was a great video!!! Full of good advice- i even took notes! There are 2 things i want to share. #1- 1 year ago i set the intention to especially work on my mental health & stress. It means i did daily meditation, EFT, visualizing, stay away from the news, read inspiring books, listen to stories of recovery of any kind etc etc. All the while eating well, adding probiotics & garlic. I got rid of a bunch of people that were stressing the crap out of me. One of them was someone i tried so hard to help but turned out they don’t really want to help themselves- what a relief that person is OUT. Paid attention to doing things that keep me calm or do nothing at all except audiobook or music listening. And guess what? I have a long way to go... but I am def better than 1 year ago when i could barely even walk in my own appt. Last week i managed 2 short walks in the park. One of them lasted 17 min! #2. 4 yrs ago i had severe eczema. It was horrible. I really suffered. This winter is the first time i had ZERO eczema! Not one spot. It took me 4 yrs to get to this point - but i did it !!! When i showed the doctor... his eyes were popping like « how is it possible without cortisone? ». hahaha! Did i ever show him?!! Can’t thank you enough for sharing your journey. YOUR journey has helped mine. I’m hugging you. Thanks! I’m going to continue. I’ll write you again.... let’s see where i’m at a year from now!
i am so very sorry uve gone through such a trial this year! YOU have already given me the hope n the vital message that i gotta be consistent n not give up even on bad days when i feel like shit, to keep to my new good habits -and i am now, these days thanks to ur vids. it's been 1 month n im goin outside n im doin weekly riding lessons :D But OMG if u are not the proof of the pudding! healing urself this way once could have been a fluke, twice goes against mathematical probability (as i understand it) You have killed all doubt that this new lifestyle might not work for me -i will find a way, no matter what it takes to overcome my extra obstacles due to personality n baggage
Thank you James, you are the best!!! I’m still listening and re listening. I’ve finally gotten to the point where I am putting myself first ALL THE TIME. I never used to do that before. Now I don’t even care. It took me two years but finally doing it as you suggested. 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for sharing this latest lesson with us, so sorry you had to go through that! Glad you have lived to tell the tale & are putting your wisdom to work for you. I have learned so much from you, am 6 months into recovery from advanced adrenal fatigue, and you have been my greatest teacher beyond my own body & inner wisdom. I keep relearning some of these same lessons during recovery-seems it's easy to slip into thinking I can stray from known health course, sometimes I need daily reminders & sometimes I go for weeks without needing them. Self-correction is key! Wishing you health & happiness all of your days :)
Wow, so sorry you went thru everything described, you have recovered once again. Good for you re the kidney scenario!....those people are deadly. You’re looking wonderful!
James I am so sorry you went through all of this. You do so much good in this community and for someone to hold you up at knife point is horrific. Sounds like a blunder of errors at the hospital. I too am with you regarding doctors. I’m glad your kidney function has improved and you give great advice.
I am very happy to hear that you are feeling better now and that your kidney function is testing normal now.. hooorah! I had wondered what happened when you had disappeared from RU-vid for a few months.... I have had pots and m. e. for 2 years and every time I feel a bit better I start eating pizza and crap and a few weeks later I feel like crap. so thank you for the inspiration. hugs to you!
Thanks for sharing all this. Have you implemented polyvagal theory at all as part of the recovery process? I've suffered for over ten years and made great advances with certain supplement protocols. I was having a slight relapse with symptoms of anxiety, sleeplessness and tinnitus. I've identified polyvagal theory and exercises to promote the ventral branch of the vagus nerve to engage the parasympathetic nervous system and promote social engagement. I'd be interested in anyone else's experiences of this. Also, you experiences with the NHS ring true with me. It's under immense pressure these days and is being rapidly sold off by the present government, but it is still a reactive dictatorial institution that so often fails to fulfill its part of the contract with the taxpayer. My improved condition is in no way thanks to the doctors I have dealt with and fighting with their contempt, arrogance and ignorance has been a major additional stressor. They seem to prefer to keep people ill.
I never realized people felt the same way about blackhole people!! I came up with the same phrase for that phenomena, and never heard anyone else talk about it energetically!!
+Brian Medium I have also been told before some people are like radiators, make you feel nice and warm and some are like drains aka drain all your energy 😂
Hi James, glad to hear that you are better now. This is interesting though as as I understand iga nephropathy is autoimmune. I had something similar with antibodies against my liver that fully recovered when I went on an elimination diet (I have CFS too) . The doctor did not want to believe that it had anything to do with food but I fully believe it did. Molecular mimicry can allow antibodies you produce against food to recognise similar sequences in tissues. So I'm guessing a similar thing may have happened to you.
Hey James, when I got to hospital my GFR was 21 ... I was told dialises are around the corner and I'll lose kidney. This was July this year... I was disgnose with IGa too, I was told I need to do chemo but I refused. My GFR today is 51 and I'm still doing my best to keep climbing up with my GFR. If there is any way I could talk to you about your way of getting healed that would be very helpful. Well done to you staying strong 💪 💪 💪
Hi James, sorry to hear about your troubles, well done on getting yourself back to better health, are you back training with weights etc and your Kickboxing, or are you giving them a miss ?.
@@HealthRecovery Sorry to hear you were in a Crash, that is the last thing you need, especially with having to cope with CFS, hope you get better soon and get back your health.
Hi James, glad I found your channel.. I also have igAN, with GFR at 44%. I want to ask you how do you cater your protein from being vegan, I presume it’s still needed even smallest number? And what is your workout routine before & after recovery? Do still do any routine check ups? Thank you, James.. hope you are always well & happy 😇🥳
I wish I saw this sooner... Deep down I knew but I'm trapped in hell & see no way out... I'm dying a slow tortured death.. If I can't get out of here & turn my life around I'm doomed... I see no way out unless my disabilities comes through..
Hi James this is my favorite video thanks for sharing. I'm glad you're better now. You're spot on about old habits and no faith in doctors I'm exactly the same I know we can heal ourselves. My diet is forever now and I can't go back to my old life but I think I'm ok with that it's just lonely sometimes. Especially when you're the only vegan and you can't go out drinking anymore 😂 Anyway thanks for the advice!
Hi my bro .. I have the same case of you, I’m with iga nephropathy since Dec2016 , my kidney function is still normal like you. And I very happy to hear that your kidney function is going back to normal range. If you have any questions about this disease I can help you. Now I’m talking ACE inhibitors once a day. It’s helping me to reduce the amount of protein.
g ansari Hi bro , sorry for late, blood pressure tablets is only way to keep the function normal , but it’s depends on your case , every case is different of others, how much protein you spill , what’s your blood pressure? Did you did kidney biopsy or not ? Don’t eat protein or potassium, try to make your life healthy
Yes...we can discuss...I am currently using nefromega forte twice a day...my reports are normal for now...I am taking less non-veg... taking more vegetables...but still I have a protein loss... what about you ?
Hi James, I am IgA patient, since last year I have been in a very bad situation, now is stage 5. Could you let me know what you did to recover? Thanks 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
James ive had problems for 2 years,i was a heavy dairy and sourdough eater/drinker. I have protein in urine and have pain in my kidneys and groin doctors have gave me no help also no sleep. Did u have pain in your groin and kidneýs?
Firstly James, I am glad to hear that IGA can be reversed completely....I have been diagnosed with IGA from past 6 years...my creatinine levels are 2.7... I am from India we consume wheat regularly...wheat contains lot of gluten..I have stopped consuming wheat...but my biggest challenge is to avoid Salt..? Does reduced salt helps in recover..?? Please reply
Hello. First time I’m watching your video. I was just diagnosed with IGA nephropathy in September. Have been searching ways to get better. Doctors don’t give me much hope. I know that Western medicine isn’t very helpful at all. And I also believe that the body can heal itself through diet. Can you please share how you went from GFR of 58 to90? I do not want to end up in a dialysis chair and have a transplant. Please help! I have been searching and I cannot seem to find much information regarding this disease and diet. My GFR is at 57 currently. Creatinine level is going up. FYI I am totally blind so finding information makes it even harder in my case. Thank you very much.
Are u still on vegan diet? I've been on paleo and I "feel" good on it as in mentally I feel good and I feel cleaner overall, but I still have my illness if that makes sense
Diet is very important but I have been on the good CFS diet for the last 2 years but it is bring down the nervous system dysfunction the last 5 months (meditation, holotropic breathing, mindset, EFT, mindfulness, working on my thoughts, gratitude, epson salt baths, etc. practices that I do every day throughout the day every day) that has brought me real strides in recovery (I now walk a mile a day) so that I see myself as fully recovery sometime in the near future. There was a time period I got quite a bit worse eating an amazing diet as I was emotionally stressed. I have found you must do everything at once to get better--diet, sleep hygiene, and relaxing the mind and body.
@@sarahmaurice3930 This type of circular breathing has no pauses on the out breath or in breath and mostly very fast and and very deep though the mouth (slow it down if too intense). This type of breathwork is also called shamanic breathing, rebirthing, and has many other names and is people do in sessions of 1-3 hours for emotional release and personal transformation. I do this breathwork for one to two 30 minute sessions a day laying down in bed listening to either shamanic music or Louise Hay affirmations. I have done it every day for the past 3-4 months and t is probably my most effective recovery tool of all the things I do in bringing down the stress response. It brings down my symptoms and brings my mood way up, which is super important as when you feel happy you are in the parasympathetic nervous system and have turned down the maladaptive stress response. Sometimes it brings up a lot of memories and emotions so research it before doing a session or start with 5 minutes and work up slowly. Your hands and feel can feel very tingling and strange in your first sessions and even pain can arise but it all passes. The first 10 minutes the breathing can be hard work and it takes self-discipline to continue to do, but when you are ready and go past 10 minutes time flies.
My mom has iga nephropathy and she is in very bad stage as she is 3.8 % .. is there any hope she might recover to higher percentage with gluten free diet?
Also, i’ve been allowing myself sugar once or twice a month these last couple of months and I find it strange just how quick I am to revover from it, - 2-3 days max, and while still seeing and feeling progress. Do you think it’s safe for me to continue doing it, once or twice a month?
Bro I need your help. I will explain in brief.. I am suffering from IGA nephropathy. Diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. have three symptoms swelling below knees, swollen feet, high BP, high pottasium. No blood in urine or poop. Doctors said I can't recover, and if I do not go to dialysis I can have a heart attack. So, I had to go to dialysis three times a week .. can I recover in my end stage of kidney failure what was your stage... And the main thing I do not feel sick dude I do not feel like anything is wrong with me . HELP.. share your views
Change your diet ASAP - all you can do is try mate. My GFR was 48 iirc so not too late. Keep up with what the doctor says but honestly radically change your lifestyle and diet
Of course we get better! We just can’t consistently go back to the things that destroyed our health in the first place. Eg me eating gluten each week was a seriously bad idea.
Health Recovery I believe 8. Something now. For the first few years it was 2 if I would have know this. I go to dialysis 2 x a week at 2hours 45 min. Totally sucks bet I’m remaining positive. I’m not even interested in a kidney transplant. With IGA this t can come back I’m told. I don’t really want to take those chances. Well not right now anyways. Thanks
Health Recovery I have. I have cut a LOT out and I started moving around MORE. I just don’t know what foods to eat and not eat. I cut out bread ALL fast food soda. Been eating more greens veggies and fruit. I don’t know if I should eat meat or not. Do vegan all plant based.
From what I’ve read vegan diets are the least harsh on the kidneys. I think that, as long as you don’t have severe gut issues, a whole foods plant based diet is a great idea. I personally excluded gluten too. Cutting out most processed stuff helps and getting the majority of your calories from nutrient dense foods
I noticed in at least one of your vids that you were exercising before eating breakfast. My dr specializes in adrenal fatigue and according to her, that's a recipe for relapse. Make sure that you have enough fuel before you exercise otherwise your using yourself up. Hope you don't mind my comment.
Hey Kathy completely agree with you - at this point I’m so far recovered from adrenal fatigue that it isn’t a issue for me. I’ve been in such a horrendously toxic environment this year (until now) and it really got to me. Eating gluten for the past year was a giant mistake too!
I’m on stage 1 still so there is a possibility for me to get better & get rid of it , obviously not forever bc it can come back. I only release protein, I haven’t spilled blood but some days are better then others. I use pee sticks every morning to see how much I’ve spilt. As for my diet, I should be drinking at least 4 bottles of water everyday & not take in lots of salt + exercise
No I can take in anything except a lot of salt and sugar . I don’t measure my pee, it’s a stick that tells me if I spilled protein. If the stick turns yellow it means I don’t have protein in my pee but if it turns green it means I have protein in my pee .
Yeah bro stay away from trigger foods like soy and the bad vegetable oils, those trigger my problems every time, and other people's problems gluten too :P
It’s ok to have your own feelings and opinions, but not ok to give anyone medical advice. Your knowledge of your medical illness and treatment is little to none, to people who have schooled and practiced it for years. I hope you’re feeling better.
My latest eGFR came back, it's back to full function. In June 2018 it was 50 (half of what it should be and decling monthly). If i had listened to the doctors and not made the changes I did, they would be declining. The man next to me in the ward followed the doctors advise to a T, he is now awaiting transplant and he is in his early 30s. Doctors don't have a clue about treating these issues. Following doctors advise is usually why many people end up with CHRONIC health conditions. Besides, I don't give anyone medical advise. I share my story and give people an alternative route. I tell people to follow their doctors advise if they want but don't stop making positive changes in their life. Doctors don't know it all and we're still in the medieval era in regards to knowing why these conditions start.
