Hi Chris. The 30FF is a boostleak. The 2AAF code can be the feul pump. But you will get the same code for a leaking injector. Lets say injector cylinder 2 is leaking. That means cylinder 2 is too rich..The DME will cut fuel on the entire bank 1, not only on cylinder 2 . Causing a lean mixture at cylinder 1 and 3. That results in a check engine light on misfire. When reusing the injector seals , that will cause also a check engine light on misfire because a leaking seal causes combustion leaks. A fuel pump on age will cause a 2AAF code. You have to replace the fuel pump., but that's not done on this car. The cheapest way to swap a fuel pump is by converting it to a Walbro 450. The kit is only $120 in the USA. Lots of videos on this on YT. ( for instance on YouYuber 'Vehicular DIY'. Dutch regards, Nico.
Thanks Nico, you're probably right about the fuel pump codes. Hoping car will run much better with index 12 injectors, but should probably do the Walbro upgrade if its that cheap! I've got to check if the one on this car has been replaced before... note to self..
@@julianbotello2107 Hey. In sport(DCT) mode it does. In normal drive it doesn't. I'm now on used index 9 injectors. But suffer already from 3 leaking injectors. The index 12 are still too expensive, $430 each. Regards Nico
Do all the service outside of the car. Loose that charge pipe and get a Chinese one that only has the port for whatever bov that is a knock off of. You got a smoke tester? I would start with that instead of chasing your tail. I would also pull all the injectors and do a leak test on em. Just connect em all back up outside the head with the metal lines installed upside down. Don't try to connect the wires, they won't reach. Power up the car and see if any of em are spraying, they shouldn't be. That's how I found out 3 of mine were bad. I'd do the oil pan gasket while it's out too
just my 2 cents, the more work you do while the motor is out would be easier to film and could help save you time and frustration. i would just want to make sure i had done the major engine work before i spent the effort to engineer a swap.
You never mention what series injectors you're running. Normally spark plugs and coils are moved around first when chasing a misfire. But then again you're also running MSD80 and its notorious for misfires. You'll eventually need to upgrade the mosfits on your own or send it out to get replaced. You replaced the head gasket in a separate video i just watched and really should have tapped those bolts and removed them to get a solid sealing surface on the gasket. I chased a boost leak and ended up replacing all my silicone. I hope its that simple for you.
What ista do you have, and where can I download it from, is it ready to use?...I had one before but that was a nightmare to install and had to do loads of adjustments in PC to get it half running, not used it a few weeks and won't run at all now..need a proper working ista...
I did do the MSD81 upgrade! But even after, we had some misfires, and now I'm just using some old injectors to get the car running, but eventually will do index 12!
@@EvlEgle yeah I just bought it from china they came and all the injectors were misfiring cutting out. You should have seen it diagnosed so don’t buy from China.
