Its a completely different car when you can get it tracking correctly in it's line, that's for sure.

It was weird just how stable it was on entry even though I knew that track was slick as snot

I had to work on the engine and my foot to get it right but yeah she's a good design 👌 I'll be surprised if I don't have some folks copy that engine because I showed the whole build on here and I haven't seen too many that engine won't pull down the straight away LOL

I just wanted a few laps green laps strung together to get her sticking the entry and believe I would have sailed that puppy!

It drive great but looking back I see a few errors I was making that would have let it be faster. I should have picked up the throttle sooner.

Spacer on the right front is doing two things. It's shifting the front right wheel out further than the right rear which will help the car load the right rear at a lower speed and it is also taking spring rate out of the RF which also helps as lap times slow down to keep the car transitioning the same way dynamically as it navigates the corner (roll over the same way and amount) Spacing the right rear will have a fairly significant impact on freeing the car up. It reduces spring rate on the RR but the connection there isn't as noticeable. It's more about how you are sticking that tire out further and when you are on the throttle it will help the car turn. Spacing the RR out to match the RF needs to be reserved for a hooked up and tacky track.

Sitting static with driver in tha car only has 25lbs of LR bite. Depending on the shock to make up the difference. I got the whole car to scale out correctly at Ride height with a 175lb spring in the LR then switched the LR to a 125 and set the car to have 2"s of preload on the spring when the LR chain is tight. the LR drops 4.5" before it hits the chain. After doing this I ignore how the car now squats down on the LR and the ride heights are all messed up. On the track the shocks will put the car back into attitude.

@@DIRTRACELIFE interesting thanks for sharing that… I have a 225 in the RR of my car and the left rear I have a 16” 150 spring preloaded to 1.5 inches at full droop I have not scaled this car in 3 years however it’s set on dig lol just noticed two weeks ago that the car was shit on a rough track. I’m not blaming the car for being a hand full when the line I was geared for and the rpm range I was trying to be in for my engine/ the line I was running in was rough, two weeks before that I was able to stand on it with a smooth slick track

Appreciate it, I just wish the surface on that track was not just a silty dry loose mess above the black. I'm just glad we had some late models before us put a little rubber down otherwise it would have been even worse. #wheresthewater
