Ladies and gentlemen, this is what a think called Hip Hop is SUPPOSE to sound like, ya dig?!!! Once we got away from this, corporate america raided the industry with weak watered down baseless hit hop. It crossed over & that's where the cash cow was. Why is it that everyone who hears tracks like this ALWAYS say, "yo, this is that real shit" or something of that nature. Its nice to make money as long as you don't have to sell your soul to get it.

The simplicity of this beat is Monumental--Diamond D grips the skills and shows moe foes that you dont need nothing to crazy to be a badd ass producer---The thing that kills me about Diamond D is that he never over did it or tried to out-do himself...It's as if he was humble even when he didn't speak---He let his game show how much juice and talent he had and still does. a few years ago 2003-2007 i could play real music and people could relate even though they weren't necessarily exposed to it, they'd ask me what or who made that beat and i 'd be like Pete Rock or dj premier, nowadays i'll play a pete rock masterpiece or dj quik funky ass beat and cats don't even get IT, it's like they don't resonate with that frequency, pete rock produced 'juicy' for biggie they'll respond to that, not coz they actually get IT but rather coz they saw 'the movie'...sad really
I don't know this instrumental just really made me think.. i didn't grow up in the old school (im 15) but the old school is where its at simply just because the music was real and you could relate to it but its going be kind of hard to relate to music today if what they are rapping about isn't even real... just saying
