I'm on my 4th picture. My grief therapist has me do this for anxiety since both my husband and my mom died months apart, and I was diagnosed with PTSD and complex grief after finding my husband's body. The having to focus on a tedious task calms my racing heart and focuses my mind when I have a panic attack or need to calm my body down to be able to fall asleep at night. I seal and frame mine.

You are so right about the pink wax. I hate the residue it leaves. Personally, I have switched to blue Loctite putty because of this. It picks up nicely and lays down without residue...bonus....it still gives the satisfying "pop" sound.

Thank you for sharing. I love Diamond painting. I have been diamond painting for two years now. It is very therapeutic and relaxing. I use putty instead of wax. I also scan and print a copy of my color list (with the companies that don't offer the stickers), cut it out, and use a Xyron machine to turn them into stickers, then stick each color code on each container. I seal my painting, buy hanging rods from Amazon, and keep or gift them. I also listen to Audible while diamond painting.

Hi Cheryl, I learned a lot in this video. I started 2 years ago with a very difficult ’square’ drill custom of my dog. Yikes. Thank you so much for sharing the information about the color codes and how you can swap out the drills!!! I’m looking to gift a custom logo for a friend and wanted the bling!

Hey Cheryl, I think you are one of the best dancers in the world. I remember you on season 2. Your hair cut was so perfect. Every dance move you made, when you paused, your hair fell into a perfect shape. I will never forget it. I don't know why this stood out in my mind over all of these years, maybe because it was so perfect on you, and with your movements. Did you notice too?

Thank you so much for sharing. I wish I could pick up round drills with tweezers. I prefer to use a diamond painting pen with micro glue dots in my single placer. It leaves a satisfying pop when you use it & there’s no residue from the micro glue dot. 🥰

I've tried wax and putty but found them gummy. I now use glue dots. They're very sticky but they last longer. Never tried using tweezers as opposed to the pen. Might try it. Also, non-stick parchment paper or contact paper are good substitutes for the clear film.

Where can I purchase a "DMC Color Chart Book" I have alot of rhinestones and would like to get them organized. Also what size rhinestones are you using for your designs like the one you were doing in the video. I have used SS6 and SS10, not sure if your familiar with those #'s. Thank you

I Love sparkles and love this idea! Being in a wheelchair and only having one working arm, I could just see rhinestones all over the floor! Cheryl, you need to sell finished ones. I would buy one!

Hey Cheryl, Huge fan ❤! Not certain if you’ll even see this but thank you for showing us Diamond painting! I would have never begun the beautiful therapy and sheer enjoyment of it had it not been for you! Wondered if you’d mind sharing where it is that you source your “special” diamonds from as i love the idea of sprucing my paintings up with them myself. I too can not get enough “bling”!!! I am however from Canada 🇨🇦 so I have to be mindful of potential added duty and taxes but I’d still appreciate the information if you don’t mind sharing? I agree. Personally, if I had I come across this video 2 years ago when I first started Diamond Painting, this tutorial would have confused me and I would NOT have started Diamond Painting. There are many new beginner tutorials on RU-vid that you can look up. In my personal opinion, this tutorial is NOT for beginners, it's way too advanced. On Feb 1st, it will be 2 years for me and so far I've done 205 paintings. You don't need to start with a large painting like this one. Start with smaller ones. You can get really good ones from Amazon. I hope you do start diamond painting because for me, it's a great stress reliever. Good luck

My canvas is not sticky anymore in a large section. My beads are having a hard time sticking now 😮. Any advice on what I can do. Thanks 😊

If you have a poured glue canvas, gently rubbing the area with a baby wipe. It should go sticky again. If this doesn’t work Diamond Dotz Freestyle Adhesive works well on a poured glue canvas. If you have a double sided adhesive canvas (the one which usually comes with a white paper cover on) try a double sided adhesive glue roller. It looks like a white out correction tape roller but has glue on.
