Rebecca, if you ever need an idea for a video, I have one I would like to see. I love the way you store your small finished DP’s. I would love to see you go through them and talk a bit about each one. I started my own folder, well two. One is a small scrap book for my 30x30’s. And one is a folio for my 30x40’s.

Hi Rebecca, as usual, this was fun for me to watch. I have really enjoyed watching you pretty up your diamond storage. First, in regard to static in the bags...you need to huff into the bag, not just breathe. I don't know the scientific reason, but that's what works. One of the things I've observed while watching is, you are going to quickly run out of room in your storage because you have made them too tight in the rows. Because you have quite a few empty bags, as soon as you start putting diamonds in them, it will be too tight to fit and you will need to adjust sooner than you think and you'll have to shift them. If you shift them now, before you name the boxes, it will be easier in the long run. Also, when you do dekit your HAED, the baggies for square diamonds are going to increase quite a bit. For your foamboard separators, you can hot glue those into place so they don't move. I hope this helps you. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks. I am going to 'loosen' the rows a bit when I do my revamp, I also have a couple of other bits I'm going to change too. As for the HAED - yep, they are a lot of diamonds. LOL

Love how beautiful your boxes are! Mine is a large box and all of my spares go in it! I want to do the black foam too! I glued my foam to the box so the baggies stay in place. Looking forward to the next video! 🥰

Yesterday I was in Home Bargains (uk) and they are stocking gift boxes - they are bigger than the photo boxes and would hold more so would be a pretty alternative to photo boxes. The were £2.99 each. Pink with gold flecks or pink with flowers.

You could keep the ones to giveaway on those binder rings. Then they could hang out of the way.

Just a thought. Maybe instead of making dmc cards for the extra spares you have you make cards for like the 100s 200s 300s ect. So then they are sort of organised but don't take up to bmuch space because over time the more extra spares you get the more dmc cards you make and then over ime you will have a a whole second set of all dmc drill colours

Hi Rebecca. I have an idea for the HAED spare drills and storage. I do remember from the HAED WIP videos that you use an app on a tablet that keeps count of the stitches/diamonds. From the app, you would know how many of each color is still needed. From the listing of how many of each color you still need, you could find out if you have already reached the number of spares for the painting. A two gram weight is about 300 drills. Since you use basically all the same type of cases and jars for your spares you could weigh one jar and see approximately where two grams is in a jar or how approximately how many drills you have in a jar. An example: The app says you need 386 of the DMC number 550 and for example sake little jar holds 600 drills. Lets say your little DMC 550 jar is full well then no more is needed. You could then mark the top of the label with a highlighter to know that no more need to be saved for that HAED project and all the rest of the DMC 550 can go back into regular storage. This would also let you know exactly which colors you do need to keep saving. You may be able to put extras from you HAED storage box and jars into regular storage/give away. The extras going back into regular storage would give possibly a better idea of how much room they will take up before labeling the photo box that has been prettied up only to find out when the spares go in it takes more room with the empty baggies filled up. Also with a listing of which DMC colors you still need for your HAED project you might be able to choose square drill diamond paintings with those colors. Perhaps more yellows are needed etc It would be a long many Saturdays project but doing it would give much information on where you stand with your HAED and your spares. I hope I explained this in a way that can be understood and didn't muck it up.

I’d leave your specials in their own box if I were you. As your HAED’s come along you’ll need that extra space for those drills. And isn’t B5200 in one of your HAED’s

I think it might be in my black/white one. I've not pulled those out, but I think I'm going to.

after you have finished your picture why do you save the unused drills? Each kit comes with there own drills.

I've used spare drills to make a painting using a cross stitch pattern, and sometimes a painting can be short of diamonds, this way I have them handy to fill any gaps.

Hello my name is Diane and I am from Canada. I'm fairly new to the world of diamond painting (started January 2021). Thanks to the label that I ordered on your website now my storage is functional. I have two questions for you. I was aware that AB drills are numbered below 151, but I received AB 996 drills as a gift with a purchase on ETSY. Is this normal? and if this is normal do you know where i can find an inventory of all the AB drills? Thank you for your video. Sorry if my writing in English is not the best my main language is French.

AB drills do tend to have a matching DMC number. It sounds like the 996 you have got has been labelled with the DMC number. A conversion for Diamond Art Club for ABs to DMC number was posted on my Facebook group. I'm not sure about other companies though.

What that page out of diamond bags ?

What you can do with the HAED. Is go through the numbers that you have enough of definitely. Then remove the spare bags out of your HAED storage into normal Storage for those that you have enough for the painting. Then when you are dekitting, you can dekit to the spares box for the HAED rather than the individual cases. This should leave you with about 30 maximum numbers to dekit to the HAED spares with the rest going to your normal storage. This should give you a better idea of your final storage size, reduce your HAED box and make dekitting easier. This is how I am dealing with mine.
