Hi. I am working on a ginormous dp ("Mini Soul of the Rose") which I purchased from HAED (the canvas only) which I put away after a couple of days from the frustration of placing my square drills. I was browsing RU-vid to find some tips on working with square drills, and your video popped up in my feed. Thanks so much. I willl employ some of these tips. If all else fails, another great tip which I have adopted is to just simply put the project away for a couple of hours and work on a cross-stitch or other hobby that I have mastered before returning to my dp. This particular was very expensive when I added up the cost of the drills and a couple of extra accessories I purchased for it - and I am determined to complete it.

Hi Jasmine! Thank you so much for sharing. I am impressed with your determination. I have yet to work on a diamond painting larger than approximately 52x76 cm. I hope these tips do offer you some help. Square paintings are my favorite once they are done. They just ripple and shine. Good luck to you!!!🥰🥰

Awww! Evelyn Thank you so much! It makes me very happy to know that my tips are helping you. Square drills are so worth it on the finished painting. They are my favorite so far as how they look. You'll have to come back and tell me what you think of them when your painting is done. Thanks for watching!!🥰🥰

I actually prefer the cheap little green tray over the bigger one. The low ridges requires less drastic shaking to upright the drills, where the bigger one has deeper ridges and to get the drills to flip over I shake to hard and they flip out of the tray.

Hi there! Thank you so much. I would love to hear what you think of your square drill painting when it's finished. Square drills are my favorite. They are worth the effort in my opinion. I hope you enjoy the process. 🥰🥰

if you got intentions to far down in your multi placer it stops the squares laying down proplely i run my run along the multi placer so the wax is smooth again and i do the rocking motion to lay the drills down flat

That's strange my comments are missing again 🤔. Must be a glitch with my app or me lol. I hope all is well with you and Gregory 🥰. Looking forward to hearing from you on the next chat and paint!

Thank you for this video. I've gotten so much from it. I know I'm late to this. I just finished my first DP, round drills. I have ordered a 32x42" square drill. I know one thing I'm definitely going to get a bigger tray with the higher sides and ridges. Do you have any advice for a painting that has a LOT of confetti? The painting I ordered has several realistic waterfalls.

Hi Bree! Thank you so much for your kind response. The only advice about lots of confetti I can think of - which might work for you and may not - is to try to work the larger amount of colors in the section first. It makes the colors there are less of stand out more. Also, have fun with it and let the stress melt away. 🥰🥰🥰

My best tip for squares drills is if they are crooked in the tray is to look at the line and where it becomes crooked. Most likely, it's a funky drill, trash it, and watch the line come together perfectly. They are like unruly teenagers for sure. 😂❤

Hi Codi! Are you talking about my background? If so It's a screen divider or a room divider. I got it from Jysk. It was a couple of years ago so I am not sure if they even still have it. I love it though. Works great to hide little messes. 🤣 Thanks for watching!!🥰

I'm using a tray I got with my Spell Queen kit. It is my go-to tray just for the size. What type of tray do you use? 🥰

Don't need the hands to start with. Can't see photo. Tray info not necessary. Get to the real stuff
