Those chains are at least one size too big, but it's more likely two sizes.. You could fix that a bit by moving the green link a couple yellow links tighter, but that self-tensioning system shouldn't be two-blocked and still be that loose. Don't forget that vehicle speed should be less than 25-35 mph, depending on manufacture recommendations and avoid excessively spinning the tires as the cross chains will break and wipe out all kinds of body work, brake lines and sensors.
Hello Christopher, Do you have a video installing your TV on your transit? Looking to do it and trying to see what would be the best way to do it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, I'm working on that video right now, hopefully it should be up soon. If you're subscribed hopefully you'll be notified when it goes live. Thanks for watching!
I just recently bought a pair of diamond shaped snow chains through amazon but upon fitting it to my car tires it came out to be bigger in size. Although i had mentioned my tire size as R16 and the brochure has R15 to R18 sizes can be ok. But in actual fitting it is bigger and they would not take it back or exchange. My question here is can we resize the chains to fit into my 205/65/R16 tires? My car is CRETA/ Hyundai. would appreciate if you could enlighten me on this. Cheers!!!
Hi Mark, to avoid preferential treatment, I generally avoid directly linking to a specific vendor. However, these are "Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains" and if you enter this into Google you'll find several vendors. In fact, the vendor I purchased them from seem to have greatly increased their prices so I'd recommend shopping around. Thanks for watching!
