Video Tutorial for a beautiful diamond honeycomb pattern. What will you create with it?
//// Instructions
Multiple of 6 plus 3. Plus 2 for the edges.
For the video, I casted on 6x4=24, +3=27, +2=29
Use the needles that the yarn calls for.
Cast on the stitches, any way you wish. I used the long tail cast on.
K=knit
P=purl
When passing 3 stitches, it’s always purl-wise.
Pick-up and knit strands= with right hand needle, pick up the 2 strands from rows 1 and 2, from underneath,
and knit them together with the next stitch.
Repeat from * to
Even number rows are the right side of the work.
Odd number rows are the wrong side of the work.
Set up wow.- Knit
Row 1.- K1), *pass 3, k3, end row with pass 3 (and k1 for the edge.
Row 2.- P1), pass 3, p3, end row with pass 3 (and p1 for the edge.
Row 3.- Purl
Row 4.- Knit
Row 5.- Purl
Row 6.- K1), k1, pick-up &knit strands, k5, end row with pick-up &knit strands, k1 (and k1 for the edge.
Row 7.- K1), k3, pass 3, end row with k3 (and k1 for the edge.
Row 8.- P1), p3, pass 3, end row with p3 (and p1 for the edge.
Row 9.- Purl
Row 10.- Knit
Row 11.- Purl
Row 12.- K1) k4, pick-up &knit strands, k5, end row with pick up and knit strands, k4 (and k1 for the edge.
Repeat these 12 rows for pattern.

Beautiful stitch, wonderfully explained. I love the way you say "Pass the next 3stitches" and the delicate way you insert you needle under the slipped stitches, knit it and then pass it once more under the loops. As it is not a reversible stitch, could you please advise me as to what this knitting pattern is best suited for? Thank you. It's a joy listening to you.

Lovely stitch, but I think there's an error in the written instructions for row 6. You write that the repeat begins with a K1 (*k1, pick-up &knit strands, k5,*); your video shows that you only do the K1 once, in this case the second stitch. Am I correct that the repeat should be *pick-up &knit strands, k5* ? Thank you
