Greetings from Scotland! Believe me when I say, this is a fairly normal reaction when Diana sings, and she can sing in any language, any song from any genre! This is without doubt the most unique, power voice in the world! Only 18yo here too! Diana is 21yo currently and I've been following her career since she was around 13yo. Diana is a natural *Dramatic Contralto* so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she has increased her range even more since this. She also naturally sings with *polyphonic overtones* so it sounds like many voices at the same time! Any song, any genre, in any language, Diana can sing it and improve it! You need a little back story to understand what helped "create" this unique phenomenon:- Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) a passing relative found her in her home with a broken collarbone and several other injuries. She went for the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage! This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. Great review of the world's greatest female singer, I can't believe that 3 years on, this performance still has the same impact on me than it had the first time I heard it, my addiction to Diana started even earlier, 6 years ago when she won the 'You are super' series, which culminated with Rechenka when she was only 14, she returned the following year to win the show again with Wicked Game at age 15, the rest is history.

I very much agree with your explanation of Diana's interpretation of this song though in the end I hear the sound of desperation and a love that has fallen into obsession.
