This folk song is about a Cossack dreaming of danger rising, as the wind blows his hat off in his dream. Russia was attacked from the west all the time. Hitler, Napoleon we are taught but many other kings, Empires too. So they resist, persevere, bravely. This show the ShowMaskGoOn have 9 winners of other singing shows (like Masked singer) performing 9 songs in 9 styles, and judging each other's performance (this was Diana's Folk song category) When the others perform Diana sits there (See, react to Julia Parchuta Cinderella for example). This was such a great opportunity for the 18 year now adult Diana to experience how such shows made, how other singers prepare, perform in such a professional environment. So the other singers (and the guest in yellow) talk about with her innocence the song has a more general feel to it, like if a girl were startled by her future, the uncertainty. They all immediately handled Diana with kindness, this talented big hearted girl. Their words more like advice how to use this show to her advantage, try all kind of styles, attitudes, etc. etc. (Just see her performance Mom i'm dancing) Also they banter a lot about low points (they give 1x9 1x8 ...1x2 points after each episode to each other, forcing them to give low, 2 points to one singer every time), but of course it's just huge fun for them, no real rivalry, enemies. By the way this was the first and only time she didn't had her hair bang covering her forehead. She jokes that her eyebrows were "wriggling" during the performance, but in reality it's remarkable how exxpressive her face is, multiple emotions quickly shifting on her face as the song requires it like fear, anxiety, innocence turning into determined brave look... And it all feels natural, just flows from her. Believeable. I always try to be objective despite i'm her huge fan, but i truly believe there are million dollars series with actors and actresses who are less talented, less expressive, charismatic. So it's karma she ended up in GITIS: When she won the project You are Super's 3rd Super Season she was promised by representatives of The Gnessin State Musical College and Gnesins Russian Academy of Music in Moscow, that they will make her dream come true, as soon as her age allows will do "everything pssible she can enter the College". This wasn't true, when she went there they put her onto a normal hearing, and was even denied to do a solfeggio in the Gnesinka. She wasn't given the opportunity to continue, nor to study that year there. She again wasn't upset just suprised and realised this won't be her way. So as this door closed she knew other, even better will open. "The doors of GITIS opened to me, they welcomed me with opened arms." Russian Institute of Theatre Arts, GITIS welcomed her, gave her very high points immediately on her hearing, and gave her entry, happily for the extremely talented girl who is clearly born to be on stage. She sarted "Variety Theatre Actor" faculty in 2020, and after 2 years she decided to change her faculty to “Stage Directing”, where she will learn how to create and direct theatrical productions (they learn a lot of things, only focuses more on that part) I truly believe she is more than a singer. This is an old Cossack song, it is about 300 years old. Its name is “Stenka Razin’s Dream” (the name given in the title of the video is its simple name, made up of the first words of the song). The song was usually sung by men - after all, the lyrical hero of the song is a man, i.e. Stenka (Stepan) Razin himself. In the song, he has a prophetic dream in which he loses his hat. The meaning of the prophecy is revealed to him by his assistant (esaul), who says that Razin will lose his head. The historical Stenka Razin, being an ataman of the Cossacks, went to Persia, where he plundered many cities and took away huge booty. The Russian Tsar, to whom the Persian Shah complained, demanded that the Cossacks return the loot and that Stenka be brought to Moscow for trial. As a result, a bloody revolt of the Cossacks broke out (who killed merchants, government officials and strel'tsy - these were something like gendarmes and riot police of that time), suppressed with great blood. Stenka Razin was captured by his own people (who wanted to earn forgiveness), brought to Moscow and in 1671 he was executed (quartered and beheaded).

Diana herself talks of immersing herself in a song to the extent she mentions going into a trance-like state. She talks about this in this fan Q & A video from 2021 recorded after the Show Mask Go ON had just finished.
