📌 Welcome! Who is Diana Ankudinova? Diana was born in May 2003 in the Far East of Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she cruelly abused the child and tried to drown it. One day this 3 year old child was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage. There she finally found love ... from Irina Ponik, a massagetherapist. Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old. Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared but she all sing songs from cartoons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started … Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range D3-D6). Diana's voice also sometimes has a polyphonic undertone. Her voice sounds an octave below the singing voice. (Not everyone can hear that.) Diana also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to RU-vid and soon she had millions of fans. The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship. Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow with the words: Live and sing! The two are still in contact with each other. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskoy. (She died of Covid-19 in Oct. 2020). 2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier, applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy ... and now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts (Juilliard similar to GITIS).
