I just can’t with her. Do y’all see how she is running around the stage AND STILL has the support and ability to nail EVERY.SINGLE.NOTE. It’s astonishing! The amount of training that goes into making this look completely effortless is ridiculous. Opera singers can so often get caught up in the technique they forget to act and tell a story. Diana Damrau does not let you forget what is happening in this moment as she blows the audience away with her soaring vocals. Simply the best!

Wow. Her vocal tone is harsh, unpleasant and slightly nasal. Her vibrato is wide and unpleasant. There are dozens of singers on the stage today and in the past that do it so much better.

No matter how many times I may watch Diana perform in this role, she makes this aria look and sound deceptively easy. I am literally in awe of her talent! The articulation, tone, dynamics, and tempo while acting is just superb!!!
