She rushed the song, she hit the notes but she really should have slowed it down, 7 out of 10 is fair. She let her nerves get the best of the performance. But undeniable she's got the voice.
She was alright. Shes got a great voice but there was just no spark or shomanship to me. On a nother not why the hell was there a sing language person in the audience. Who the hell would bring a deaf person to a singing competition?
Vocally, this may very well be the best performance on Idol that I have ever see, from 1:48-2:10 is such an incredible show of vocal range and control. True, her version was a tad fast, but I still feel that she did a great job with it.
This is like the first time one of the judges has chosen a song for a contestant and given a negative remark. good going randy, but WRONG GOING! Of course it was not original, there aren't many ways to change up this song, but it sure as hell was powerful! No reason for negativity here. I thought it was great
I think the reason they sped it up is because they wanted to be able to fit the bridge with the high notes and all. I think what they should of done is arranged it like Antonella's version. Where you can fit the verse, bridge, and power chours. Not sing it like Antonella just arranged it that way. But kept those big notes in. You know what I mean.
@fbgrad07 yeah she did do a good job, but win season 3...(best season EVER) umm hell no. Fantasia shoulda won...don't forget J-Hud, Latoya, George. She was competition to any of those ppl. but she waz good thou.
And why is Simon always so rude and straight to the point with her? he acts like she's not even human and has feelings. I know for one thing he certainly didn't act like she was 16. I can see her going home and crying after some of the things he says to her.. I mean hello one time he just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing.
yeah, and i think she can't even sing it "nicely" when it's so fast.. she can't finish her words or her next line is starting.. you know what i mean? too bad :)
Totally... she doesn't even have time to catch her breath before the next line. I'm pretty sure she could elaborate her vocals more if the song was played at original speed. She sounds almost like she's trying to catch up to the music right now. But still, not a bad performance on her part. She did what she could.
I must admit that eventhough Celine Dion is Diana's favorite singer, Diana can't sing Celine's song... Serious, look at how she did with Because YOu Loved Me and My Heart Will Go On. I like her performance on I Believe, Don't Cry Out loud, and other songs but not Celine Dion.
its not her that speeds, the show and band makes the arrangement and they tell her how to perform it. she has a say but they try different techniques out so they can say that she made the song her own
This song was written as a love song, but is sometimes used as a Praise song. And yes it's WAY to fast. I remember thinking that back in 06. Way to fast. ~Purl~
